  1. Concealed Carry

I agree, but I like that in a firearm. Less likely to have accidents, IMO, and once you're used to it, your aim doesn't suffer. I have heard a lot of good things about Springfield, so I may check out the XDM.
  2. Concealed Carry

I'm taking the class to get my CHL in January and can't wait. I'm looking to get another SIG as a CC weapon. In reviewing some if the threads I am really glad I live in TX, where its common place for folks to carry concealed. It's hard to imagine living in a state where you can't exercise...
  3. What's Your FAvorite movie?

  4. Doomsday Preppers

Thank you. I had seen some of those "pre-assembled" bug out bags. I'm a bit hesitant, because I wonder about the overall quality. Any recommendations?
  5. Doomsday Preppers

We have extra food and water in the pantry as well. We r looking to assemble some bug-out bags. We would like to find some land in the country, but its pretty expensive so that is on the back burner. I saw the news footage of folks during Katrina and Sandy and I really want to avoid being a...
  6. Doomsday Preppers

I think the show deliberately portrays some of these folks as extreme. Although I've seen some of the episodes and some of these individuals are.......unique. I do think basic preparedness makes a lot of sense. Hurricane Sandy or Katrina are good examples of why people should prepare.
  7. Doomsday Preppers

I thought I'd throw this out to the group. This is a reality TV program on NatGeo, on its second season. The thrust of the show is profiling individuals and families who are preparing for catastrophic events. Basically "The End Of The World As We Know It. What are your thoughts? Are these...
  8. Pretty Funny One-Liners/PICK UP Lines

Agree completely. If your using them for something other than humor......that would be inappropriate. Like drink thrown in your face inappropriate.
  9. Pretty Funny One-Liners/PICK UP Lines

Are suggesting they might not work? C'mon, you didn't laugh a little? Hardest part is making conversation and their are worse ways to begin a conversation than laughter.
  10. 15 states petition to leave the USA

CA and NY are hardly examples of well run states. It's great that they have large percentages of individuals with degrees. So why can't they balance their budgets? Why are they so far in debt and have some if the highest tax rates in the nation? Poverty can be misleading as a statistic and...
  11. How about that Debt?

It currently stands at 16 trillion, not counting future obligations to Medicare and SS. I don't really care what party is in power, the debt is a huge problem and its only getting larger. I'd really like to hear a solution to that problem, before the dollar is worthless.
  12. 15 states petition to leave the USA

Tough situation. I think it's a way for a lot of folks to vent their frustrations on both sides. I live in Texas and a lot of folks (myself included) don't like the way the federal government is run. Specifically the amount of debt that is being run up. It doesn't matter which party is in...
  13. Pretty Funny One-Liners/PICK UP Lines

Do you gave a shovel? Because I am diggin' that a$$! Do you know karate, because your curves are kickin! Y'know the call me Mr. Snickers, because I SATISFY! Do you have a band-aid? Because I skinned my knees when I fell for you! I'm not a glass of milk, but I'll do your body good! How...
  14. Abe Lincoln vampire hunter reviews

I went to see this with my two teenage boys and we all liked it. I was pretty skeptical so my boys had to drag me to see it, but the acting was very good and the action sequences were pretty solid. Abe kicks some A$$ with that axe. If you rent it, I don't think you'll be disappointed. I...
  15. Any Good Books?

I'm a huge fan of "Pillars of the Earth" by Ken Follett. I read a lot and this book stands out and I always recommend it.
