    I second this. but keep in mind that too much of any macro, including protein, leads to increase in adipose tissue (fat) due to the necessary storage of excess energy.

    I gave up soda a while back and used tea (no sugar or anything added) as a replacement, especially green tea. takes a while not having the sweetness, but it tastes pretty good and it's good for you. and of course, black coffee in the earlier half of the day is always good for the caffeine.

    I was just in Ireland and took a tour of the Guinness storehouse. Had a "Guinness Stew" and a big old pint to wash it down. Not quite sure what was in it but it was damn good. Unfortunately, it looked the same going out as it did going in. haha.

    I'm a fan of carb back-loading for this. Eat ultra-low carb (less than 30 g) during the day, with moderate (healthy) fats and protein. Train around 5 pm or so, then eat til I go to bed, carbs included. Keeps you burning fat all through the day while still allowing you to refill glycogen...
