    Depends how often you inject, if you inject IM weekly or EOD you can even use tiny 29 gauge .5 ml pins since volumes are small and 1 inch is plenty for glutes.check out this thread for more info on a full injection protocol...

    Using higher gauge needles won't cause scar tissue don't spread misinformation. There are plenty of diabetics who properly rotate sites and minimize bolus size who safely inject insulin DAILY for DECADES without significant scar tissue development.
