If you actually read what I said you might see I didn't say a carb would be stored as fat. In simple terms a simple sugar creates a insulin spike. Yes? Which then pulls a fatty acid into a fat cell. Yes?
The problem with simple carbs are they create a insulin spike which then stores fat. As you said you need 5000+ calories to gain weight I guess you don't store fat so should be fine. Buy grounded oats. I chuck in 4 scoops which works out to be 92g of low gi carbs. Mix it with whey and a table...
Regarding rest periods what I like to do is the following which I have got very good strength and muscle mass gains. This is my chest routine:
Flat bench press:
60kg x 10 1 minute rest
80kg x 8 1 minute rest
100kg x 6 2 minute rest
120kg x 2 3 minute rest
142.5kg x 1 2 minute rest
120 x 6 1...
This shake is simply but seems to be working and CHEAP!!
2 scoops of whey
2.5 scoops of instant oats
1 tbs EVOO
All mixed in 500ml of milk
That's 55g protein. 75g carbs. 20g fat.
Roughly 600 calories.
But the oats off a body building website and they are really cheap for huge 5kg bags.
Don't they contain loads of carbs? If u mix one scoop of whey with one egg white into a paste. Then microwave it for 45secs. Tastes pretty good. High protein with whey and egg white with very minimal carb. Don't know if the protein enzymes get denatured though in the microwave.
Yeah i pretty much eat eggs chicken pieces beef and olive oil. Watt im finding hard is sweet cravings. Can't seem to find a snack that satisfy the craving. Any ideas?
