I'm 22 and 5'8"... 9 months ago, I weighed 170lbs w/ probably > 18% BF. I got my diet in check, and started training hard. Got myself down to 148lbs at +/- 10% body fat. Now, I'm at 165lbs, and I'd say that at least 14 of those added pounds is lean mass.
