Lol I'm not mad at all, I see it as an opportunity to learn. I don't think it was terrible, def not the reason why I'm in the ER but it's not the smartest idea in the world. And yeah hindsight is 20/20, but now I know.
I agree with that statement, I'm just saying I never really noticed it because as I was deconditioning in the lifting area, I was increasing my conditioning in the cardio department. So I never really paid a bunch of attention cause my priorities were focused conditioning elsewhere.
Also got...
I mean being out of lifting I'm like "**** my maxes have dropped" but I always was doing something else like rowing or running to fill in that space so I always felt active. I didn't get hit with the lethargy people get sometime after not going to the gym etc cause I got my gym high off...
Probably could have planned better yeah I agree, but the past is the past. All I can do at this point is figure out what I did wrong and make sure I don't do it again. Learned a lot from this that I will be using in the future.
Your right I didn't, but so few days in I didn't really lose anything but a few caps. You can't plan for everything and expect everything mate. im sure millions of Americans didn't expect to lose their homes and jobs in 08, I don't think anyone expected America to have such a ****ty election...
Yeah it's realive to the type of activity, and I wouldn't say it's a waste at all, it being a waste is relative to what you expect to get out of the cycle. I think if I hadn't screwed tf up it would be a lot better over all but I'll still see some solid gains from the cycle.
Yeah, I at least know what I'm talking about so I know something. I did cardio during that year, rowed competitively just didn't do much with actual weights. I didn't feel that deconditioned getting back in the gym either.
Now granted my recovery time between sets was longer then I typically...
I mean yeah I'm deconditioned since I've been out for a year due to a shoulder injury but I've kept roughly 70% or more of my gains across the board so I don't think I'm THAT deconditioned. Granted I should have probably taken more then a week to ease back into things.
Overtrained as in I just did way more then I should. I've very familiar with the concept of overtraining. I've been around the block a few times. And idk I don't think I'm that deconditioned I think I just was too eager to be back in the gym and did way more then I should have on that...
