Looking to bulk up for sports using alphamass

Agree w what's been said already. Your body is in a prime muscle building state at your age. Stacks of testosterone and GH already. Stick to big lifts, do a decent amount of volume, eat like a mofo and sleep lots. You will easily gain the weight you want. EDIT: jealous of young man hormones. At...

Is it true or not that one can focus on size or strength?

I'd also think about the mechanism that forces a muscle to get either bigger or stronger (separately, though they are related). Strength is an adaptation forced by pushing the upper limits of your muscular capacity. Size is an adaptation demanded by increased cellular storage requirements. This...

Is the APD really ketogenic? Does it have to be?

I completely agree with Jamie's stance on calorie calculators, but counting calories (as a way of tracking your own individual caloric requirements) is totally useful. You can of course get by by tracking weight and bodyfat. If either are going up, you're eating over maintenance, and if they're...

Logger Needed For Our New Natural Anabolic Most Wanted

Ok I'll put my hand up. Strength training for a few years - mostly powerlifting. Last comp I went 197.5/125/217.5kg at 95kg. I'm 6'5" and looking to put on some lean mass. Completely natural. Nothing more hardcore than whey and creatine. I log all my workouts anyway so this is a no brainer...

How much is too much "pump"

Aside from arguments about whether the pump is important or not, I'm a fan of Permaswole. Good taste. Decent pumps.

    Flexibilty stretching not helping

Overall mobility/flexibility has to be worked at as seriously as your weight training. There are some good books by Pavel on stretching, but Olympic weightlifters have the right idea too - use weight to help you. Previous suggestion of MobilityWOD is great too. Plenty to learn!

    Training Program?

For a while I was doing 2 sets of max reps in 2 minutes on squats. I started with 60kg and worked up to around 75kg. Usually got around 40 reps on the first set and slightly less on the second. I've also tried doing max reps in 5 mins on press with just the bar (around 100 usually) and max reps...

    Training for Combat Athletes

The only thing you really need to consider when convincing any type of training with another is how it will affect recovery and subsequent performance. Usually a small drop in volume for your weight training is all you need.

    Training Program?

If you're keeping rests short and doing some complexes a couple of times a week you should be ok? You could always add some walks with a weighted vest/backpack
