blood tests

Well I am planning on getting some blood tests taken this summer, but I am not sure where to go. I have searched on google and found a few areas, but I am not sure if they are over priced or not. I tried searching on here, I remember a thread that explained everything and I think gave some places to go to, but I cant seem to find it. Right now when im looking at everything I would WANT to get its coming out to something like $400. The main things I want to have checked are liver and cholesterol. I have used orals in the past, not abusing them, but id like to know where I am at months since being on any. If someone can help point me in the right direction to where to get this done at and mabye help point out the most important tests to get done. Here is what I was thinking for the basics.

Cholesterol:
HDL
LDL tryglercides (sp?)

Liver
ALT
AST
GGT

Anything else I should add that would be seen as mandatory? I was thinking adding in test, free test/total test to it as well. I figure I can get cholesterol covered by insurance from the docter since I believe you get a free test once every 5 years. Anyways some input would be great. Also if there is any way to get this done cheaply or with insurance I am all ears.

Hey bro, check Jmh80's TST/TRN log. I think he mentions a place in there that does it for like two hundred something. I would look for you, but Im in a lazy mood at the moment. :D

Also - my insurance allows one blood test a year. I usually make the doc. put testosterone and the like in because (you'll see) it's much more expensive via these online blood test places.

If you have ins make a Dr's appt for a chk up and ask him to have blood work done for you.

How exactly do you go about asking the doctor for a blood test during a check up. I'm sure he's going to ask why etc, also would the doc be able to draw blood that day or would you have to make another appointment for that?
