Definitely more mainstream after Huberman on Rogan podcast. Youtube's MPMD Derek has tons of info on it.

I have tried multiple brands over the past 3 years, and at ever increasing dosages. I really wanted to see some results. But sadly nothing but a waste of money. Those who think it’s worth it probably are experiencing the placebo effect.

Only reviews I heard that was decent was MPMD turk, boldanic and Abolic. I ran abolic4 had decent fullness and pumps, but a lil pricey to run at 8 caps a day. One side I had from it was after dosing I would get lethargic, but I realize I get like this with ecdy products even though it mainly targets the beta-estro recepters. Me having slightly high estro levels naturally maybe could play a part I dunno..... I've run ecdy with a sarm before and it actually made me feel better(probably because stronger sarms lower my estro levels a decent amount).

I have too many screens open to find the thread right now, but for anyone that wants to know a lot about it, do a search history for @Danes posts; he knows a lot about it and posted in great detail about it in the past.

Cliff notes - the study data looks like it may would be good but legit raw materials are hard to source and extremely expensive. The dosage of active content needed to replicate the study dosage in humans of legit material would be insanely expensive.

Their product is listed as being std. to 40% total phytoecdysteroids but it doesn't specify which ones.

Also, there is a technical debate/controversy over testing on this ingredient that a lot of people don't know about. You can run UV testing for example and then run the same thing under HPLC and get a completely different result, like not even in the same ballpark.

I'm not sure if you remember, but years ago people bashed Performax bc someone tested his Ecdy product and it tested out terribly and people thought he was lying - but in all fairness to him, that didn't mean that it didn't test out well by a different method.

That Performax product actually has a really solid looking formula, but yeah, skeptical about the Ecdy.

Yeah, I'm skeptical about any Edcy/Turk raws but I thought the way people were towards him was a bit unfair because I really don't think he intentionally mislead anyone. I think it was a case where a different testing method yielded a correct result. And even if the other method was the correct one, it doesn't necessarily mean he knew that or meant to be deceptive.

We get asked to do an Ecdysterone and Turkesterone all the time and I've thought about it, but that's part of the problem is that I think its so overhyped there are unrealistic expectations and also there's going to be the crowd that wants it and the crowd that nit picks it to death too.

yea but its just ajuga turkestanica not turkesterone; im pretty sure you would have to take grams upon grams of this to see any effect. And why the hell do they still have laxo in there, laxo is good for joints and pumps thats about it.........

I looked up something called ecdy-bolin which is technically russian Rhaponticum/Leuzeae but I can't see any reviews on it, I saw it from someone making a vid about it on youtube. I tried Mass Pro synthagen, I did kind of like it because it made me feel good but I didn't see too much from it, no added strength gains but decent recovery; the thing is it just so expensive.

In my humble opinion it's about legit as creatine. It works but have reasonable expectations
Which brands have you run and how much? I got a bottle of turk with cyclodextrin from a company I ordered months ago, might run it next week to see how I feel.

I'm confused. You posted their sales line in reply to my quote; but their own sales line and supplement facts was where I got my information from so I'm not sure if you were meaning to disagree with me, agree with me, or didn't understand what I meant haha.

My post said that they list it as being 40% total phytoecdysteroids but don't specify which ones.
Your post says they contain 2000 mg. Arjuna Turkestanica (800 mg active phytoecdysteroids).

We're saying the same thing because = 2,000 mg. x 40% equals 800 mg. :)

In regards to the Phytoecdysteroids part:
- Both of our posts say that they contain phytoecdysteroids but don't specify which ones.
- ^^ There's nothing wrong with that, I just didn't want anyone to get confused at what they're looking at.
- This is where a lot of people get confused on these compounds so I trying to help people understand.
- Phytoecdysteroids are a family of compounds, Ecdysterone is a particular compound.
- So just because something contains ___ % of Phytoecdysteroids doesn't mean it contains nearly that % Ecdysterone. (and to their credit, they are identifying it correctly by saying the % of Phytoecdysteroids and not claiming it to be all Ecdysterone).

I haven't used it in probably 10 years off top of my head I can't even tell you the brands Back then it was hyped up just like it's hyped up now. Honestly I have zero interest in trying it again or any natural muscle builder other then creatine. My brother is currently using the one mpmd sells and as I expected, results are mediocre at best. I know it "works" but like I said I think ppl need to have reasonable expectations

That may be why they've been out of stock for so long; they may be removing it. But then again, Laxogenin is still a popular ingredient. We get asked to do one a lot but we don't because I don't believe that it does much and because its on the FDA Advisory list.

No worries. Just wanted to make sure if there was a question or confusion involved that I covered it.

That's a big part of of the confusion on products of this type is its hard to offer accurate comparisons when they can be standardized so differently or use different testing methods.

LOL And yet people are selling the Gorilla Mind for like $200+ a bottle on eBay.
Goes to show that advertising and celebrity/influencer marketing will sadly beat science and real results every time.

Why??? My brother bought it a while ago for like $60 which is still a huge rip-off. I told him not to waste his money but he wouldn't listen

I’m convinced that gorilla mind are actually the ones selling it on eBay lol . Create a “Launch” on the website for a limited product, sell out and then continue to sell for a higher margin on eBay with the remaining product. Blame it on “bots”

About as good as creatine works. And even that is hard to say because I know he's trying harder because he's using a supplement so take it for what it's worth.

Everyone keeps asking if it works and I'm wondering what they mean by works.

I think everyone is looking for a natural steroid alternative and it doesn't exist. I think turk like every other legal natural supplement that's not spiked lol, will provide a ever so slight increase in performance if everything is done right and in that sense they work.

Now if someone is working out and eating half-assed and then they start taking a supplement and work out 10 times harder they give the credit to the supplement, oh it's awesome, but it's really not. You just did things awesome while you took whatever supplement.

I think a lot of the time that's where the supplement hype comes from.

I feel like this is one of those "holy grail" type ingredients I have been seeing come and go from companies for over 10 years. I am highly skeptical it is actually legit in anything that has been available, unless the price is unreasonable (never seemed cheap).

I'll remain skeptical until something seems to convince me otherwise.

Seen a study done in 1996 that showed ecdy alone or with protein or creatine when ecdy was added to those two it did enhance the effect somewhat. However creatine alone was not far behind. I'm guilty of the study rat syndrome and have spent lots of cash on ecdy l recently dosed huge supplements at max. I think I'm done with the hype for now. Creatine is cheap but it's boring that's why my eye wonders on it but it works so for now I'll just go with that.

Interesting way of looking at it. It is kind of odd they sell out in seconds. I know I won't bother the next time they say it's going to be available.

It's because we live in a world where no1 learns anything for themselves. They live and die buy studies and YouTube videos in the neverending search for the magic potion. Apparently the magic potion costs $200 per bottle this month lol

For me personally, it wouldn't be worth the hassle of mailing back the empty bottle. If you never have ran anything hormonal before it might be worth the time

I wish I could take epi. Hair shed like mad after just a short period on it so had stop halfway through one bottle. I'll give Turk a try since it doesn't impact hormones.
