I drove to Maine a few years ago with the sole intention of getting a famous lobster role. We googled best lobster roll in Maine and punched it in the GPS. I drove several hours. Got the place on the coast with frigid temps. You had to order outside and then take food inside. Ordered the family up some lobster rolls. We got hot dog buns, cold lobster rolls, and mayonnaise. Barf. Ended up throwing the stuff in the trash can and going to a restaurant down the road. Haven’t had a lobster roll since.
That sounds gross. haha. Come to Cape Cod - we will go to the range and I will buy you a lobster roll.
Can you fall in love with someone based on one video and a photo? I am thinking it may be possible now....
Honestly, the best lobster roll I have ever have was from a local supermarket, and the actual lobster salad came from Mass...Ha! Getting anything with lobster in touristy establishments and even restaurants is a huge rip off. Obviously, most Mainers get them live from seafood markets and make them at home themselves. Even then, it’s not particularly cheap because I always need to have at least 3 of them..
I can agree here...sometimes those tourist traps are the worst. Living in Portland, you must have a similar view of seafood...it comes out of the sea the day you eat it if you go to the right places. For people who live more inland, it can be a little "too" fresh at times.
Yeah, when the softies who think it’s cute to put a BLM sign on their front lawn start to see their personal pleasures withering away, that sign will come right off that lawn!
I was driving down the street this morning and passed a few "Thank you essential workers!" signs. It's funny that just 4-5 months ago these signs started going up, and now I drive by them and barely notice. But then the irony hit me that in that time frame we went from, "Thank god for the essential workers" to having BLM signs two doors down that basically promote, "Screw the essential workers, defund them!" The real irony is the homes with the hearts on their doors and the BLM signs in their front yard. Talk about a lack of any foundation.
I wonder if these people are walking through the store and it's like, "Oh, a sign! I have to buy that!" without any thought as to what it really means.
Kind of like Biden answering reporters' softball questions, "Well, um, yeah, well, it's been going on - hey, look, it's my wife over there. I'm her husband."
Maine is awesome, been a great first day.
Can’t believe I ran into and touched the original Berlin Wall down by the waterfront!

Wait, a "monument" in the US? And it's still standing? I guess people don't understand the history behind that or they would be tearing it down too. I guess TheBigT is correct. It's fine to be against freedoms, unless it's the freedoms of people with a certain color of skin.
Do you think it's possible that people realize this is a symbol of what was overcome and a remembrance to a history we hope to not soon forget? That would be shocking.
Washington could never imagine political parties seeking to remove rights and align themselves with terrorists and to try and cancel the founding principals of this country. He is more than likely rolling around in his grave right now.
Gonna have to disagree here. I think Washington didn't need to imagine a world where political powers sought to remove rights and cancel the founding principals of this country. I think that's WHY he did a lot of what he did. And I think that's why he didn't envision career politicians in this country - he envisioned doctors, lawyers, farmers, etc. who served their country as senators and congressmen. But yeah, he would be rolling in his grave.
The real problem is that the threat is being veiled as progress. Look at how corrupt, privileged and elitist Pelosi is. They make up stories about Trump not wanting to get his hair wet, but then have video footage of Pelosi expecting special treatment from a business she is helping to drive into the ground and somehow that's a setup?
Trump may be an azz. But Pelosi and Biden are WAY worse. Not even close. They are the serial killers - you can't become a serial killer if everyone expects you every time someone goes missing. You have to be the LAST person they expect. They have so many people fooled it's saddening.
portland maine, not oregan, right?
I heard Biden loves visiting Portland. It's a great state. Oh, wait, aren't they their own country now, since BLM/antifa?
Huh, never heard of either one of those places, I will have to check them out. It’s funny how you can live somewhere your whole life yet people who have traveled there are more familiar with some of the hidden gems. When visiting somewhere on vacation or what not, I think we are more observant and actively seek things out.
When the same place has been your residence since birth, you just kind of take your surroundings for granted. It’s kind if like driving to and home from work and not remembering the drive.
I agree with you 100% here. I work in commercial real estate and I have people come from NY to look at stuff and they find spots on Google that I didn't even know about and I feel so stupid when they ask about them, haha. Sometimes they'll have like 3-4 spots I know nothing about. The locals just never go there.
I mean, I drive by the beach all the time but I haven't really gone and hung out on a beach all that much since I was a teenager.
The footage of Daniel Prude was just recently released. Are you arguing that the government should withhold video footage from the people?
I think they should release footage in the full context of the situation. This MAY be the ONLY situation thus far brought up that was actually "wrong" of the police. But I originally thought that about Floyd too - and then when the full footage was released after a long delay, my opinion changed dramatically. My original view was, "Why is anyone dying while in a cops custody? Once you are cuffed, your safety is in the cops' hands."
Once I saw more, I realized he was obviously overdosed and was complaining about breathing problems long before the cops had him on the ground, yet still resisting and refusing to sit in a back seat. That combined with the autopsy makes me believe it will be difficult to prove that the cop is actually even the reason he is dead. He may have been dying from the overdose and would be dead regardless of the police officers. But the partial footage looked REALLY bad.
Look at Blake. Cops light a guy up. Then it turns out he has a knife. Then it turns out they were there because he was violating a restraining order against someone who he sexually assaulted (allegedly). Where are the #metoo people here. Did they want the cops to just say, "Sorry, he's in violation of the restraining order but he isn't cooperating so we just have to let him do whatever." Where is the justice for his victim?
But really, if racism is such a HUGE problem in the US and all these police are out killing black people every day - why are these the only cases that BLM can align with?
