A lot of the things that have gone wrong aren't a lack of people or supplies but rather just plain bad management. Paula Reid had a great point and question when Trump deflected with his usual defense that he stopped travel, but what else did they do with time they bought?! They didn't make sure we had testing or that hospitals could handle the influx of ill patients. He just kept saying it was under control and can't name a single thing they did to prepare.

He could do something insanely egregious and you and big T would still defend him. So im not sure which party is worse. It’d be nice if everyone remained objective and took everything situation by situation but thatd be too logical for a lot of Americans who’d rather anchor themselves on one huge position (“I like Trump” or “I hate Trump”) and defend it forever no matter what he does or says.

Seems like both that dictator stenching up the oval office and most governors are rolling back regulations allowing hospitals to do what they couldnt before.
They all support policies that cripple the power of localities to make moves. Kinda like when Cumho had this CCP Virus test on the ready that couldnt be rolled out for weeks until the Fed approved him to do so. But thats a easy example for me to pick out. I think locally in NY Cumho unregulated capacity limits in Hospitals, so Hospitals couldnt pre-prepare based on hoping things get deregulated. No source there, just my interpretation.
If they rolled back so many regulations, why did they have them all in the first place?
And on another note, if they can give tax payers money on the fly, why the fuq tax and punish people for earning it in the first place!!!!! I just found out today that they still tax your Social Security check, lol I had no idea! What a rig!

Id have a hard time criticizing him for cutting off travel to China. Being that Im a 10 year Visa holder this directly has effected me in case I had an emergency over there. I was shocked he pulled that off, and at the same time that would be the wisest choice at that time.
And another big shyts and two big birds to China who restricted travel domestically in and out of Wuhan but still allowed the globe to process in and out of there.

You could have still gone because it wasn't a ban. He restricted travel to "non-U.S. citizens, other than the immediate family of U.S. citizens and permanent residents" "if they had traveled to China within the previous two weeks." So there is a huge loophole there and it was definitely too late and way past after they should have known this was going to be a big deal. My coworkers son flew back from China in January to Seattle. He was scanned for body temperature twice there in addition to all of the other questions, but didn't get anything extra when he landed here, even though he told them where he just came from!

Well, maybe it should have had preparatory procedures sooner, being that intel says it knew as far back as November.....and dont they watch movies, being that they are the CDC they should have prepared to be in war mode in an instant to help hospitals deal with pandemics.
Thats why Im never convinced the answer to problems is big centralized government, but people keep begging to expand it and always end up disappointed.

I'm not a fan of centralized government either, but I meant more of an announcement to anybody seeing patients of any sort. Doctors know their specialties and have a lot to remember, so they like guidelines, especially for stuff like this. If a patient comes in with x,y,z, perform this test, run these labs, stuff like that.

Auto accidents hit a peak at some point and flatten the curve, just like a virus. Exept cars are worse because its for the most part a guaranteed high death rate year round, year after year for the rest of our lives. If we social distance and limit movement the auto accidents would significantly drop....
At a rate of 4k auto fatalities a month, we should have about 14,000 deaths already from auto accidents but fortunately because of current social distancing we have dropped the auto accident mortality curve significantly. Think of the people what would have died if we didnt social distance?
People need to just stop driving to work, or perhaps limit the speed limit to 5mph. Cars are dangerous projectiles, they not only kill other drivers but innocent pedestrians including children. You do like children do you? Or maybe not? Or your ok with someone driving over slow walking grandma?
And Im not belittling the virus, Im just trying to put this into perceptive as I sense an extreme over-reaction and solution to the situation.
Its really ridicous if you ask me, you dont solve a crisis by creating another artificial one. Many more people will potentially die from these horrific policies especially if the system totally breaks.
