Donald Trump running for president

And forced sterilization in 20 years? We’d probably have a full on civil war before that happened. This isn’t even a political discussion anymore, it’s fantasy land.

What if aliens come to earth and people have children with them? Are alien abortions worse than human abortions?

do you believe in global warming? who knows what situation the earths population might be in another 20 years?

I can tell you that here in the US, which is the topic of conversation here, any climate change will not be nearly severe enough to lead to a scarcity of any resources in the next 20 years.

So your one hypothetical question now had several other hypothetical assumptions tacked onto it.

And I stand by my point, if abortions are gone because of forced sterilization, then we’re replacing one bad thing with something much, much worse, so the retrospective morality issue is irrelevant. It’s like comparing your least favorite President to Hitler. In comparison, they’re a saint.

do you believe in global warming? who knows what situation the earths population might be in another 20 years?

Who knows if earth is dead but we moved to Mars just in time but then overpopulation is taking place over there? Maybe we can move some people to one of Mars’s many moons?

did you flunk reading comprehension? you are seeing something that is not there-I suggest you go back and READ very slowly what I posted
No, it’s completely relevant. If abortions are only gone because we replaced them with something worse, then we would be in no position to be retroactively evaluating the morality of abortions. It’d be like a group of people on an island who had to become cannibals looking back and saying that eating animals was immoral. If you’re doing something orders of magnitude worse, you have no right to pass judgment on things in the past.

What if babies in 20 years had the option to euthanize their parents?

actually I believe there are a fairly large amount of 20 year olds today who would like that option.

You know full well that’s not what he meant lol. He meant in 20 years what if babies could abort their parents, not what if babies could abort their parents when they turn 20.

Exactly....in 20 years we can communicate with babies do to modernization in science and doctors can warn them that their parents will be abusive and ask how they want to handle this. Laws in place for nuclear option. Who would dare strip babies rights away?

This is a copy and paste from Ron Paul’s Twitter post, I recommend reading the actual bill I posted link to before, it’s insane...

Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez's 'Green New Deal' is Commie Red

2/7/2019

By Robert Wenzel

Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez has released an overview of her “Green New Deal.”

She calls it "a massive transformation of our society" and it is, but it is far more than a "battling climate change" proposal, it is an attempt, on steroids, to move the United States in the direction of hardcore central planning.

It calls for building "on FDR’s second bill of rights by guaranteeing":

  • A job with a family-sustaining wage, family and medical leave, vacations, and retirement security
  • High-quality education, including higher education and trade schools
  • Clean air and water and access to nature
  • Healthy food
  • High-quality health care
  • Safe, affordable, adequate housing
  • Economic environment free of monopolies
  • Economic security for all who are unable or unwilling to work

Note: Most of this has nothing to do with battling climate change or even a green environment, it is a march toward communism.

AOC is using a slick Leninist type ploy here, use a "crisis" in one area to advance a major wholesale change in society.

She knows exactly how transforming her mad plan would be, she writes (my bold):

The level of investment required is massive. Even if every billionaire and company came together and were willing to pour all the resources at their disposal into this investment, the aggregate value of the investments they would make would not be sufficient... we’re just saying that the level of investment required will need every actor to pitch in and that the government is best placed to be the prime driver.

She wants to (my bold) "upgrade or replace every building in US for state-of-the-art energy efficiency."

Every building in America!!

Assuming for the moment that climate change needs to be fought and that the U.S. can do something about it, this woman has no understanding of the concepts of marginal costs and benefits. Under any program where basic economics is understood, you would never call on upgrading or replacing every building in the country. This plan is a plan for the introduction of a remarkable level of central planning into the fibre of the United States private property system. It is not overly aggressive to call it a strong march toward communism.

UPDATE:

Ocasio-Cortez said in an interview on NPR on Thursday:

This is really about providing justice for communities and just transitions for communities. So, really the heart of the Green New Deal is about social justice.

So the page is apparently down now (and I had to use DuckDuckGo instead of Google to even find it):

But luckily the Internet Archive (Wayback Machine) has a record of it:

It does indeed say “Economic security to all who are unable or unwilling to work.”

If she admits that every collective dollar of every billionaire and company couldn’t do it, that inherently means that the middle and/or lower class would have to shoulder a great deal of the load.

She said in the bill she is going to create millions of good high wage jobs, so I guess that shouldn't be a problem whatsoever.

Whereas the House of Representatives recognizes that a new
national, social, industrial, and economic mobilization on
a scale not seen since World War II and the New Deal
era is a historic opportunity—
(1) to create millions of good, high-wage jobs in the
United States;
(2) to provide unprecedented levels of prosperity and
economic security for all people of the United States; and
(3) to counteract systemic injustices: Now, therefore,
be it

As opposed to BAD high-wage jobs?

This is written as well as most of Trump’s tweets lol.

Not only will she pay you for not working, but she’ll upgrade every single building in the country, which includes your house, to “achieve maximum energy efficiency, water efficiency, safety, affordability, comfort, and durability.” You’ll be living the high life man! This is honestly the stupidest bill I have ever seen. I bet she hasn’t talked to one engineer about it.

But she’s morally correct, and isn’t that what really matters?

Well she mentions access to nature, so maybe we're all getting tents. Otherwise, the environmental impact of manufacturing all of those "green" upgrades will not be negated by energy efficient homes. She's seen one too many episodes of Tiny House Hunters.

I guess tents are very energy efficient. But are they buildings? If not we need to rethink this.

Dont forget, if you fall in your energy efficient house your high quality medical care is all paid for. Dunno how medicare for all (well, higher quality medical care for all, way better!) snuck in a "green energy bill" but ok.

Because green is the color of money, and this bill would need all the money in the world to actually work?

So every American will have free higher education, and I guess I assume every campus will be energy efficient and include free health care....

Thats great but no Pony's?????? WTF???? Do they fart carbon too much?

Vermin Supreme 2020!

She is going to install nationwide high speed rail, but no mention of free lifetime passes for every American. Highly disappointing.

Imagine the money spent connecting rural towns with a few dozen people by high speed railways? It’d be cheaper to buy each of people a Tesla and hire a full time driver for them.

Your wrong!

"(O) providing all people of the United States with— 23(ii) affordable, safe, and adequate housing;"

You just make it affordable so then it can be paid for. And its safe so you save on health care.

She's not thinking any of this through. I would love for the US to have a better train system like Europe, if it was affordable since it's usually more expensive than flying currently. But that's never going to happen. Once they start building them, everybody is going to protest what they pass through and you're going to have to tear down some of that nature she's promoting. Also, it sucks living next to train tracks...I grew up next to one...they go all night! And if she keeps going after airlines she's also going to end up committing suicide with multiple shots to the back of her head.

It’s a lot more feasible to have railways spanning small European counties than spanning the entire US, which has large, mostly rural states, some of which are each the size of some European countries.

This social justice warrior would have to implement strong imminent domain on the people she thinks she is standing up for and then major roadblocks overriding imminent domain as indeginous people will have power to block anything going through their designated land.

Didn’t the bill also talk about not using so much eminent domain and respecting the wishes and land of the indigenous people? So much contradiction man.

People like her are what made me change my mind about the electoral vote and support it. The consolidation of corruption in heavily populated areas is dangerous. Now I do think the electoral vote should be 100% based on regional votes consisting only of citizens and not special insiders, but that’s another topic.

Trump stated that "America will never be a socialist country."
But America is bankrupt because of the Socialist policies that it already has!
The president then went on to advocate some *new* Socialist policies of his own!

Every country that people claim is a successful socialist country (see Sweden and whatnot) is really just a successful capitalist country that uses said capitalism to prop up socialist policies. One can hypothetically argue that some of these policies are worth it, but they’re still not socialist nations by any stretch of the imagination. And they have pretty strict immigration too, so they can sustain those policies, as I’ve discussed before.

LOL at the Bernie people referencing Sweden all the time where they charge poor and middle class higher taxes then rich which is the opposite of what the Bernie people want. Sweden squeezes poor people and charge 60% on income taxes, thats how the poor get all this "free" stuff Bernie people and other socialists such as Cortez lead people to believe.

Here is a awesome coverage of Swedish Socialism in 5 minutes by John Stossel I saw recently.

Holy ****, the Swedish tax system is confusing.

However the highest marginal tax rate is 61.85%, and is applied against income earned over 61k which is 7k higher than median household income. So most people aren't taxed much at that rate.

Mixed capitalism. It's pretty much what every free state practices. From what I can see, out of all the affluent nations, its only in the US there us much social resistance to market regulation.

My point is that they’re not “socialist” economies, they’re regulated capitalist economies with social programs. Every actual socialist country became communist. They need the capitalist backbone to work and not be perverted into communism.
