BPS Continues the Challenge!!!!

I think I'm out of this challenge I workout at home and don't have enough weight I way 289 lbs x 1.8 if my calculations are correct that would be 520lb deads sounds fun tho

If you hang them loose, it really adds a degree of difficulty to keep the bar stabilized with the swinging weights.

Im proud of you guys!!! But keep em coming!!! Im going to try and get a video up for you guys in the next few days. Obviously not in the drawings for the win..but just cause I hate asking people to do things I wont do myself. The last winners information has been passed on and should be on the way soon!!

I use light chain and a couple snap clips/ caribeaners.
At swim lessons for my daughter right now and then she's supposed to cheer tonight so I won't be lifting today. Have to wait until tomorrow to do something. Really been slacking by not getting any videos up.

Ok, I have one for habajaba (and anybody else that wants to join in) with DBs since that's all the Lilly-boy has. Lol! Have to wait for it to upload though.

DB pullovers with 50 lb DB AMRAP and another video with 70lb DB AMRAP. Got 35 with the 50 and only 15 with the 70. Will get videos up tomorrow once I can get on wifi.
 
I tried this tonight as well but my left shoulder has been giving me issues and that motion was a big 'ol NOPE!! I did 1 and that was it! Lol!

Man that sucks bro I know if your shoulder was right u would of killed it props for trying

When someone does an upright row, they pretty much perform the orthopedic test for supraspinatus impingement. Google "Hawkin's Test". If you watch a video, the movement should look quite familiar to those who do upright rows.

Edit: just letting you know that is more than likely why you had pain.

That's not a motion that I really ever do so with 95 lbs, I don't think I would have got all that many even if my shoulder wasn't bothering me. That being said, I have to thank you for showing me one of my weak areas.

I notice that if I sleep on my side wrong, it makes my shoulder hurt. I've been trying to sleep on my back but I'm so used to sleeping on my side that after I'm asleep, I roll to my side. Odd thing is that it doesn't seem to bother my right shoulder when I sleep on that side. I just really want to get used to sleeping on my back though.
 
Yah bro, sounds like you have a supraspinatus issue (the rotator cuff muscle on the top of your shoulder). Pain with sleeping directly on the shoulder is a common complaint when that's the culprit. Could just be supraspinatus tendonitis, just some impingement, or partial tear. Only way to know for sure would be go to an ortho (or Chiro if you find a good one), have them evaluate you, and more than likely get an mri. An mri is really the only way of definitively knowing if its a tear.

Well thanks for scaring the crap outta me. Lol! It's been bugging me (this time)for about 6 days now. Might have to make an appointment with the Dr. to have it checked out. I can do all the movements without any weight but adding weight is where it really starts to hurt.

Dont worry lukehayd....Ive been dealing with mine for almost 2 years now. Wake up sometimes, like today and the entire arm is numb, down to the finger tips!!

That's how mine has been for a few years off and on as well. It's fine for a while and then one day, it starts hurting. Once I change the way I sleep, it stops hurting and I forget about it.

Nice job! was that 35? I think I can actually do these with my bad shoulder. Might give it a shot tonight at the gym. I should be able to get at least 10.
 
General challenge since Im really not included in this..but wanted to get into the fun. Only did 10, but I WAS on the ambulance last night and this was the end of my bicep tricep day! For any of you..and I know most of you can do it...but tricep pushdowns...200lbsX10Invalid Link Removed
