Not much to learn here compared to others. Check out herders and rodjas logs. Iparatroop too if you like gay CF stuff :sgrin:Sub'd to learn, per Sean's reco. Will initiate my own log once I recover from this brutal case of bronchitis/sinusitis, and get back to the gym, where I largely confine myself to the purple, pink, and neon green DBs.

Edit: rob and cincy's logs are coming along nicely too. And toro, don't forget toro...
Toro and I go back a ways; I've been following his heroic strength for a while now at a private forum, where we all get to post nekids too, so I am intimately familiar. Only guy I know who can goodmorning well over 500 lbs, raw and nekid, oh my.
Hey, leave how intimate you and toro are out of my thread, txs...
Thanks for the shout out up there bro!
:FUfinger:
Jim, you should probably start logging your training, you know, so you can track your results. And take videos of your lifts, so you can see what you do well and what you don't do so well. Maybe get your wife involved, too.

Hey bud you ever get pain in your shoulder blade, rhomboid area when the bar is past parallel when your benchin? Thougt id consult napalm, the shoulder expert
It's literally like right by the shoulder blade. Not sure if it helps. Last week it started bothering me after my amrap when I went for more volume. The pain went from there to my rear delt. Today it was just isolated to that spot. I'm not really sure what it is Bc you'd think it would bother me doing rowing or face pulls or something.
I can get someone to take a pic of my back so I can show you guys more accurately. Pretty much anything past parallel gets the pain.
Definitely possible I strained something. Past 2-3 weeks I've been doing face pulls 2-3 times a week, 120-140 band pull aparts a day, as well as increased back work. Probably just too much too fast.

Thanks for the shoutout, oldface, even if I am doing gay xfit. I'm also growing a mustache for Movember.
No, cuff pain is almost always felt at the capsule if it's infra or supra. If it's lower and towards the midline, it's prolly rhomboid, or could be a weird trap/lat pain.
Maybe a referred pain like jinxie mentioned...
Napalm, pardon me, what are you recovering from? I know I could read your log, but as much as I am trying to follow at this point, I could use a little hand holding. No homo. In any case, congrats on making it back to the gym, and moving some iron. I wish you a swift and complete recovery.
How long til dead or is it the same?
Dunno, at least another month or so.
Not having done anything more than a triple on the bench in about 2 1/2 months = doms.

Thanks jinxie
My immediate problem is a partial tear of my Achilles and soleus. Started PT for it last week. Therapy Tuesday and Thursday, so I gotta figure out something to do mwf. No squatting for a while, prolly some kind of 531 for my bench for now and do a bunch of assistance work..
Don't you start w me mr start a log, disappear for 3 months, than peek back inside the forum. I think this might be your first post in this thread, which was started 4 months ago.2 things; 1) I see you left me out of your "who's who" of logs to follow 2) your conspicuous absence from my new log is...conspicuous. I see how it is.

Which 'new log' are we talking about, your undulating upside down 531ism or did you start a new one?
I don't travel outside my subscribed threads very often - it's too stupid out there...
Question; what are your thoughts on maybe upping the TRT dose to around 65-70mg e4d to aid recovery in the early stages of coming back? I feel like it COULD help, but is also akin to juicing to get a jump start, which I'm not much of a fan of doing.
No reason to big guy. The body is always trying to achieve homeostasis. Don't upset it by upping your trt.
IMO, your body is going to take it out on you somewhere else.
If you're wanting some help recovering, then RECOVER. Make sure you're getting 9 hours/night. I recently started taking a power nap in my car from like 11:15-12:00 after lunch.
Every little bit helps...
Are you talking recovering from an injury or recovering from a workout? If from an injury, I don't think the TRT dosage would aid all that much. If from a workout, then it's not a bad idea. If you're looking for recovery from injury, GH is apparently worth its weight in gold. Or, "deer antler spray", as Ray Lewis calls it.Question; what are your thoughts on maybe upping the TRT dose to around 65-70mg e4d to aid recovery in the early stages of coming back? Yeah, the gh def helps more w recovery. I actually upped my gh dose to 3 iu while my Achilles is healing.
As I recall, deer antler is GFR or some other pep, and perhaps oral or topical bunk, not hGH. 3 ius is a nice, robust dose, should help a lot, and get you ripped/moar ripped to boot. Are you slinning it too?

No slin, I've prolly swapped 15 pounds of fat for muscle in the last year and a half. Sitting at around 15% now.
Those are some good results, particularly with a bunk leg. You must be damn stout, if you are weighing around 200 lbs, at 15% BF. Respect.
I really should further assess this route. Should I get to know you better, and you me, I may tap you to share more re this. My concern has always been my BSs, as mine run high. My doc has actually expressed a willingness, but at a lesser dose than you. I take berberine to control BSs and lipids, which I know it can interfere with protein synthesis, at least so the theory goes. It's like anti-slin.
ok, just had the kid measure me for a bench shirt. by all measurements, i fall into the 52 inch metal jack - which is the size for a 82.5 kg'r. only problem there is i'm about 194 right now.
i'm going back and forth between rodja saying go straight to double ply - for a hefty investment, or learn a little on the single ply i can get from sean.
A little mid afternoon soundgarden.

This has got to be the hardest song to sing in the history of mankind...
agreed, BUT, Freddie didn't sing the part of Jesus Christ...Kicking out the grunge. Chris has a unique voice, BUT, I'd give the nod to Freddy Mercury personally![]()
