I've seen PTA, uncle buck, and ferris buelers day off. I'm pretty sure those are all his movies. And I never found Cameron Diaz to be that hot.Maybe it's the small chest? She is attractive thou.

Thanks toro, 5 weeks to go brother. I'm supposed to deload this week buy my back feels better than it has in a month so the plan is to work up to 355-360 tomorrow because of my crappy squats last week. My opener is going to be 350, which I did a couple weeks ago. I'll prolly do 355. After that, rodjas buddy - who's going too, wants me to unrack around what my max will be to get used to the weight on my back. I gotta deadlift at least one more time, I'd like to pull an opener, but that's how I screwed up my back so I gotta be careful...
 
So this is the plan 5 weeks out: this week is deload week, so I plan on hitting openers. Next week is a new cycle, so I'll put the work in next week and the week after. The week after that I'll prolly hit openers again then shut it down for about 10 days before heading to Prague.

I know that's not typical heading into a meet, but it's similar to what I did going into nationals and it worked out well.

The wild card here is the deadlift of course. I might try an opener on Friday depending on how the back feels.

unrack 405: 3 singles

thoughts:
rodjas buddy wanted me to unrack my max a few times to get me used to the weight on my back and let me tell you...holy shyt was it heavy. i tried a one step walkout - really shaky, a half step walkout that felt a little better so i did it twice. heavier than i expected. that said, i think the 355x1 was pretty smooth. i got to the bottom and didn't tear up my back or oblique. kept my chest up better than usual too. I'm happy with it. i really don't know if i'll go any higher than 355, that's 87% for me and i don't know if there's value in hitting my second, which will be 378.4 - stupid kilograms.

what do you guys think?
 
Good looking plan. I think at most do the the second with reverse bands, if not the walk outs and openers should do it. I agree, wouldn't risk it just to hit 380 in the gym.
 
Well done, under control and smacked! 407 will be there on meet day, I'm sure of it. Definitely a good idea to get some heavy unracks going, unracking a max always scares me.

Yeah, the 405 felt a little heavier than expected. Gonna do that at least 3 more times. I remember the first rep I was like oh shyt...
