  1. day 10 - 7/15/08

Well my sleep..sucked. As usual coming off that transition, I was so over tired that I couldn't sleep well. Ended up getting about 4 hours total. This prevented me from doing anything extensive since I was on the graveyard shift again and wanted to salvage any energy possible. Here is what I did end up doing.

    Squat box Jump = 3x8
    Plank = 3x 30 seconds
Side Plank = 3x 30 seconds *each side*
50 crunches with 2 second pause at top.

Not a very intense day to say the least...but my energy levels were rather low. Have tennis practice when I wake up, so that will be sure to kick my arse a bit.

Nutrition was solid today all around.

  9. day 11 - 7/16/08

    I...am an idiot.

I just had a full update ready and went to copy it and instead hit paste...my whole post dissapeared. I love today.

Now my update will be very short, haha.

Tennis practice tonight...won a few sets, lost a few sets. On court a total of 3 hours.

Nutrition was good, I am going to bed.

    I'm...angry I did that.

Yah apparantly a real solid first week, haha. I'm hoping to continue steady progress...but i'm sure that 4lbs a week won't be happening, haha. I'm alright with that anyway...my goal was 2 per week. Thanks!!

  16. day 12 - 7/17/08

A solid day overall. I finally got a little sleep so that was comforting, but I had a mandatory corporate meeting before my shift so with that and heading to lunch with my girlfriend, I had to be at my shift right afterwards. Off day as far as a workout. I did walk quite a few miles during my shift though...so I suppose not all was lost!

Nutrition was pretty much on point. Only trouble spot was in the morning I had whey in water and then nothing else until after my meeting which took FOREVER...so when I had lunch about 4 hours later, I ate too much. It leveled out throughout the day...but I can't stand that really full feeling.

  17. day 13 - 7/18/08

Another good day. I woke up nice and early to make sure that I got a decent workout in today before going to see my girlfriend and then the inevitable fate of my most hated enemy and I clashing....work.

Did some kettlebell work today and this is how it all went down.

1 arm KB swings - 8x8x10 *each arm*
    KB power cleans - 8x8x10
    KB front squat - 8x8x10
KB clean to push press - 8x8x8

tossed in a few turkish getup's and some resistance band work and hit the showers!

Felt nice and loose after that. Nutrition was good all day today. I think I was really low on calories though. I haven't been keeping track so I couldn't say...but I didn't feel like I took much in. Could be partly due to the fact that I was at work and the healthy options are few and far between when I forget to bring lunch. Mostly banana's, granola, and occasionally I can find a good salad.

  18. day 14 - 7/19/08

A fairly good day overall. After leaving work real late last night, I had to be back at 9am this morning so needless to say, no workout other than my job occured. Did a lot of moving, bending, and lifting at work...but nothing out of the ordinary. Tomorrow morning is a weigh in so we'll see where the scale says i'm at. My guess is I will be right around where I ended 7 days ago. Something weird to me about losing 4lbs. in one week. I bet that levels out with this week's results.

Nutrition was good today. Just ate some natural foods to keep me going at work since there was nothing actually healthy to eat. Had some good pork loin tonight so that was nice. A good day.

Well...tennis match tomorrow so I need to catch some rest! Til the morning's weigh in...

UPDATE: 2 days ago my acid reflux started to act up and I began to monitor it throughout the last few days. The only changes i've made to supplements or diet has been adding thermo gtx so I am going to remove it altogether and see what kind of effect that has. As soon as my MST shipment arrives, I will be back on Shred anyway.

  19. Also...i'm not sure if it's all the added leg work doubled with the tennis time but my leg muscles feel MUCH more full than they ever have before. I mean, even during taking rpm/drive which was very good to me via fullness and hardness. This is good news

  20. Can't wait for the weigh in. Maybe you are picking up some mass in your legs! I'm not familiar with the supps you are taking ?

hahaha did you just claim you're not familiar with your own company's product?

Which ones don't you recognize? I will describe for ya!

  22. Well for weigh in, as I expected I lost entirely too much the first week. I'm not upset with the results at all. After week 2 I am down 4.4lbs total. This week I only dropped .4lbs which is okay with me since my goal was to lose 2 lbs a week and I am still on track

I am going to be using much more of my good friend very soon. For some reason I have slacked on my utilization of the jump rope and that must end . I will bring him back into circulation tomorrow!

Full review of the day tonight.

Cordygen5 is for atp, endurance, and oxygen utilization.

    Mvp365 is my multi vitamin.

  25. day 15 - 7/20/08

    Weigh in = -.4lbs.

Only down a fraction of a pound this week...but as I stated above, this does not concern me in the least bit. The scale doesn't mean much to me at all really...mostly looking for physical attribute changes and better speed, endurance, and flexibility.

had a usta tennis match today (about a total of 2.5 hours tennis) and lost in doubles 4-6,3-6. Yet another showing of a partner who wasn't into the game. I think maybe he was feeling a bit sore. He said his hip was acting funny and he did look kind of awkward on a couple of running shots. Highlight of the day...I only lost 2 points on my serve the entire match. That's pretty good

For the first real time since I started this log I had a "cheat". My girlfriend wanted to gamble so we went to a casino tonight and we ate at Johnny Rocket's (in comparison to a denny's or nathan's maybe?!). I had a burger on whole wheat toast with onion rings. It wasn't even worth it. Not only did it taste awful to me, but I felt "bloated up" after. Lame.

  26. Don't you hate that its so hard to leave the house and go do anything social without blowing diet. I wish each town and shopping center had a resteraunt geared towards healthy people. Food high in protein and not drowning in salt and butter. Sigh, its no wonder people get fat these days.

  27. yeah thats certainly the epidemic we're facing. bulk butter, tons of salt, and high fructose corn syrup seem to be ruling the world of restaurants and diners. I'm not overly concerned since its the first time i've really strayed in 2 weeks...but I would have rather not. I try to avoid hfcs at all costs.

  28. 2 weeks in. The log has about a month left...maybe closer to 5 weeks. 8lbs to lose...along with some more endurance and agility.

My future "quests for success" will have different goals. This one was 205 and feeling great for tournament status!
