KLEEN - When They Come For Me... Try and Catch Up Mutha Fugga's

  1. Do you classify yourself as Sedentary or something that is a very low TDEE and TEE... I guess I could have gone that way and then factored in all activity... I just made my baseline as very active with my basic activity taken into consideration. Doesn't matter I would come up with the same results in the long run either way... I could whip up a spreadsheet for you that would omit assumed activity level and only consider the actual activity. I would still leave a factor for the percentage that activity influenced calorie burn. I don't have complete confidence in the fact that if I burn 500 cals I can eat 500 more cals.. I do feel I can eat an extra 250 though. So I place my factor for extra cals burned at .5, If you are starting off from sedentary you would like increase that factor to say .8 or something. You want to have the option to do these kinds of things to make adjustments till you get it spot on. Eventually you will be able to know precisely how many calories and how much activity you have to do to reach a certain goal...

So I am going to lower the cals down a bit make this more of a cut / recomp. I will leave my build days the same but cut back to oh say 1800 on burn days during the week and 2500 on Sunday at moderate carb levels. I should still be able to add a little LBM while dropping some fat or weight. However if the wife insist I be leaner to stop snoring then I just get myself ready for a show from around 7-8%. The muscle will come on slower but here is the basic approach now to get me into the loeaner and lower weight that slows the snoring. When done I can work on legs and arms harder for growth. Who knows I might be pretty damn happy when I get lean enough to really see what I have going on. My arms seem to be getting bigger which is great! My legs are looking pretty good and if I keep them thick while getting my waist nice and small I may feel closer to show ready.
Kleen... do you really attribute your snoring to your weight gain? I have found that certain anabolics/PH's will suddenly make me start snoring! I damn well know that G8 always makes me snore, not sure if it is because of how deeply I'm sleeping and therefore how deeply my body is trying to breathe etc. but never the less, I always snore on G8. Anyway, was just throwing it out there that it could possibly be some type of supplement your are taking that is inducing or raising the level in which you snore.

It's weight gain for me but I have to gain an awful lot ...

  5. Well I have gained a good amount of mass and my yoke has increased drastically. So I have put n enough size to get it going then bumping up to 400 and 500 grams of carbs on top of that and adding weight and water gain. I am a big boy at over 210 right now. Honestly 200 is pretty close to my snoring threshold has been for a while now. So I just have to lean up and I know it will go away.

As I mentioned in the PM Al I attribute a lot of the snoring while on gear or PH's to be weight gain realated and the airway being restricted by the growth in the neck and throat areas. Doesn't really matter if it is muscle or fat just a little growth can create a big bottle neck in the airway when the head is at an angle.

The G8 I would attribute to the deeper relaxation of the muscles in the throat combined with gravity while lying down.

  6. My wife can definitely relate to how snoring is dependant on body weight. Back when I hit 200 lbs and was carrying a considerable amount of bodyfat compared to now, I was snoring badly. So much that my wife had to sleep on the couch to avoid it. When I hit 185ish it went down quite a bit, and now she hadn't heard it in months

Before my divorce, last year when I was getting ready for THOR and both trying to lean up and pack on as much mass as I could while not sacrificing how lean I was trying (key word... trying) to get, I started snoring big-time, but that was also around the time I started taking 200mg/week of Testosterone (TRT) granted, I'm still on TRT and I'm about the same weight and maybe a hair leaner, not much, and I no longer snore, or at least none of my Holla-Back girls have reported it, LoL!

  20. Sub'd Kleen.

  21. Going to look at you guys logs in a few. I know I haven't been crazy on updates here but I here are some highlights from the last two workouts.

Saturday - Lower rep lower body

Curls 115x8 - my biceps tendon on my right arm is tight so this started hurting it. Going to lower weight and slow reps down here work on stretching the tendon. It is a tiny bit tighter just from the 2 shoulder surgeries I have had.
Calves - Who cares my calves are big just went through the motions to get blood in them...
Romanian Dead lifts - 415x8 with tons of gas in the tank for extra reps on Saturday. That is up 10 lbs and far easier to lift.
    Leg ext 250x8
    Leg Press 900x8, Widow Maker - 810x20
    ______________________________ ______________________________ ______________________________ ______

Tuesday - High Rep Upper Body
3 sets per 15-20 reps 1st set a little lighter, short rest periods.

    Cable Crossovers
    80 per side x 20, x 18
HS Incline Bench 80 per side x20, x15

    Straight Arm Pull Down - 75x20, 75x20
    Wide Grip Lat Pull - 120x20, 120x17

    DB Lateral Raise 25x20, 25x19
    DB Front Raise 25x20, 25x13

    Wide Grip Rows - I can't remember
Read Delt Fly Machine 110x20, 110x15

Overhead Rope Triceps Ext. 80x20, 80x18
Close Grip Dips bodyweight x20, x15 wow I really beat the tar out of every pushing muscle in my upper body. Fresh I can do more than 50 dips without blinking... Triceps are indeed sore today which is nice.

Okay so a little bit of info regarding a conversation I had with a competitive body builder Saturday. I have known him for years and years like early 90's... He has won multiple national level competitions and I just wanted to ask him to give me an honest critique of my physique. I basically asked point blank if I should not be worrying about bodybuilding and go into a Physique contest instead. Then let him know what the judges said at my first show regarding arms, shoulders and legs needing to come up. Now granted I was flat on the day of the show but it got into my head.

Well he told me that I was extremely proportionate and in his eyes there was no reason if I came into a contest in great condition that I couldn't do very well in my weight class. He has done several preps for others and really knows his stuff. He gave me a lot of insight and offered to help me with anything I need to get myself ready for a show. Diet, posing, peak week, all of it he would love to help me out. So I will be doing a show for sure. Not sure if it will be early next year or in the summer but it is on for sure! The first NPC show of the year around here is the Texas Shredder so If I plan to go early that will be the one. Otherwise I will be looking at a few other options in early to mid summer.

Here is a vid of me about a month before my show in 2009, I am hoping to be around 10 lbs heavier at that condition when I get down there. I was around 183-185 in this vid.

Workout was great biceps tendon was a little tender so adjustments were made. Also I was going to attempt to go up on my widow maker today even though I kind of knew I shouldn't since I tweaked my back a little. Well It didn't feel good so I racked the 285 at 8 reps, stripped it down to 225 quickly then did my widow maker with that. Feeling good, can't wait to eat my fast breaker.

That video right at 16, and right now about 17.25 but I am not as lean. I am hoping to hold at least 16.5-16.75 for the show. Admittedly with my diuretic stripping all the water out of my body over night before the contest and me dropping down 7lbs from 178 to 171 my arms were probably down 15.25-15.5 by prejudging. So being told I needed more size should not have been a surprise. My wife told me I went to bed looking like a beast and woke up looking like a physique model. My buddy was like Oh my gosh where did all of you go you were way bigger 2 days ago.

    No not at all.

I think this is the package I should have rolled into the show displaying. I was 183 in this video one week after the show. There is one point in here I do a rear double biceps and my back looks completely ridiculous with all the striations and definition. Plus at 183 I had thickness still.

I will be posting up older pics and vids in here to keep my eye on the prize. I want to get to where I can hover around 6% for a while to make sure my skin is nice and tight before the show. Once I dip under 200, and get close to 7% I will get an idea of where I am and decide if I can push a little attempt at recomp from there or just continue on down. That really depends on what show I decide to do.

Thanks Luke! I am hoping so, I look back at my pics and try to compare and I think at 203-205 I look I did around 193-195 when I started that prep. So that would put me up about 10 lbs. If I can look like that without sacrificing too much size well wow. Heck if i can look exactly like that i won't have to many issues.
