Hey guys,
I was wondering if you can help me out. Just a little back ground, I have genetically always had high blood pressure. I am on an antihypertensive with a low dost of HCT (diuretic). I checked my BP at home 1/2 hour after coming off the treadmill and it was 127/67 which really doesn't concern me. Gave it a second run after ten minutes and it was 129/63.
Anyways, my heart rate right now was checked twice and it was 127 and then 118. While on the treadmill doing a steady walking pace and a high incline.....I was fluctuating between 160 and 180. Would that be considered normal? I did a 20 minute treadmill walk after working shoulders.
Also, is there anything OTC I could consider taking to possibly lower my heart rate? Just a minor concern. I was out of the gym for two months with an injury and finally got back to the cardio thing, but I just want to see if this is expected.
thanks
