I need vasodilator for my eyes

Ever since I started working night shift I've been having red eyes all the time no matter how much sleep I get.

Is there any supplement that can help improve blood flow to the eyes? I've tried Ginkgo Biloba extract pills but that hasn't really helped much.

You don't need a vasodilator for that. You need to work day shifts, or sleep more.

You do not "need" a vasodilator.

You will also not have much luck differentiating between which herbal options would even effect your eyes. They tend to be selective to specific tissue types.

Talk to your doctor

Vasocontrictors (visine) will help your problem temporarily. You and your eye doctor won't like that though. You're very likely to experience rebound dilation and make the problem boat loads worse. This is the same mechanism Afrin has when it constricts the sinus vessels.... and wallah, u can't leave home without Afrin and u are now an Afrin (or in ur case Visine) addict to combat the rebound that you caused

Question: How are you so sure you need a vasodilator?

Weed is used for glaucoma. Glaucoma has increased eye blood pressure as a hallmark symptom. This is what weed addresses. By dilating blood vessels, the blood pressure goes down and the damage to your eyes is prevented.

Now as we all know, weed makes your eyes hella red in the process. So, if your eyes are red (which hints at dilated blood vessels), why are you assuming you need a vasodilator?

If anything it sounds like you need something to constrict the blood vessels in your eyes or maybe you should figure out what the mechanism behind the reddening of your eyes actually is.
