Should I take it only pre and post workout, or would it be beneficial in the morning and at night as well. How many total grams per day and what split? Anything I should avoid taking with it?
Some will utilize it as a GDA and dose .5 - 1g pre meals. Other like it pre-workout at a similar dosage. Some even like it pre-bed and anecdotally report deeper, more restful sleep. I personally see no reason to go above 1g, however other users seem to go above this recommend amount.Should I take it only pre and post workout, or would it be beneficial in the morning and at night as well. Agreed 1g has always worked great for myselfSome will utilize it as a GDA and dose .5 - 1g pre meals. Other like it pre-workout at a similar dosage. Interesting. I'll have to look into the GDA usage. I've never tried it that way. The typical pre-WO dose I use is 1 g as well. Have never gone above. Some will utilize it as a GDA and dose .5 - 1g pre meals. Other like it pre-workout at a similar dosage. It would be a waste to dose it post workout.Should I take it only pre and post workout, or would it be beneficial in the morning and at night as well. How many total grams per day and what split? Anything I should avoid taking with it?
I have tried it pre-bed and did not notice any effects so I'm gonna cut thatSome will utilize it as a GDA and dose .5 - 1g pre meals. Other like it pre-workout at a similar dosage. I have been taking 1g post, why exactly is that a waste? It would be a waste to dose it post workout.
Take it pre-workout and/or pre meals.
I usually take 1g with breakfast and my last meal. I find that I still get effects during my workout from my morning dose.
what are you trying to accomplish with a post doseI have been taking 1g post, why exactly is that a waste?
Exactly. I would shoot for the dose being pre workout rather than post. More beneficial IMO.what are you trying to accomplish with a post dose
I read it on a post on these forums titled "Agmatine Sulfate Post Workout benefits.." (sorry I can't post links yet)what are you trying to accomplish with a post dose
Its like comparing dynamite to a firecracker. How do you like agmatine vs an arginine based no booster? I have always used arginine but keep hearing great things about agmatine.
Muscle insulin sensitivity will be optimized post workout. Save Agmatine for another time.I read it on a post on these forums titled "Agmatine Sulfate Post Workout benefits.." (sorry I can't post links yet) basically improved nutrient delivery and muscle cell insulin sensitivity
I have been taking 1g post, why exactly is that a waste?
This. Any nutrient "shuttling" supp is pretty much useless post workout.Muscle insulin sensitivity will be optimized post workout. Save Agmatine for another time.
SNS caps or powder are the bomb.I take it in the morning on days I know I won't work out, and I take it pre-workout via Hemavol or SNS Caps . I strive for 1g a day, but I've been known to go a bit above.
I mean, I always try to take a break in all supplements. I don't think it's necessary for agmatine though.Any cycling guidelines, I realized I have been taking 1g daily for almost 12 weeks now ... Or is this something that people are using as a staple now?
I never intended for it to a staple, but dang, I can't even recall the last time I went off of it longer than a week...sometime last year maybe, lol...though obviously I wouldn't recommend running it that long...just all those health n pump benefits make it hard to do...Any cycling guidelines, I realized I have been taking 1g daily for almost 12 weeks now ... What would slinbrah say??This. Any nutrient "shuttling" supp is pretty much useless post workout.
It's quite noticeable. Shift to pre bed on non training daysI switched to taking 500mg pre breakfast and and pre bed, with 1000mg pre workout; definitely feel the difference from 500mg to 1000mg pre workout
You mean a full 1g pre bed and none in the morning? It's quite noticeable. Shift to pre bed on non training days
I'd probably rather go before largest carb meal. To each his own. It's quite noticeable. Shift to pre bed on non training days
I will be using new white pump powder (750mg agmatine) pre workout soon... Adding it to 500mg twice daily (before two largest meals) soo exact same setup... Sounds like I'm in for a treatI do .500 before breakfast .750 pre workout, and .500 post workout. Pumped all day long.
I like the White Pump profile. Believe NutraPlanet has it fairy cheap right now as well.I will be using new white pump powder (750mg agmatine) pre workout soon... Adding it to 500mg twice daily (before two largest meals) soo exact same setup... Sounds like I'm in for a treat
That works well too I just notice I get better sleep 1g before bedI'd probably rather go before largest carb meal. To each his own.
Agmatine tends to make me sleepy. If taking the supplement solely for spinal pain relief, would a couple grams before bed be sufficient? Or is it better to spread smaller doses throughout the day (instead of one large dose daily)?
Tried that. Helps some but not enough. Caffeine works but isn't something I want to take multiple times every day.Rhodiola

I'll probably have to take it just before bed. Was a little reluctant of taking it only then (even if it works for my back pain at once daily dosing) because I would kind of miss the pumped feeling that I get all day.Just take the agmatine at night before bed. On the other hand have tried taking it after a heavy meal?. It usually doesn't make me as tired if I take it after a big meal.
