Anyone able to provide input on similarities and differences between 4-amino-2-methylpenatane (AMP) and DMAA?

Idk, I hope I'm wrong, but I doubt that I am.

Anyway, it seems like it's gonna be exactly like DMAA which I was never very fond of.

Agreed. 1 tub if the first 1mr and it quickly lost its appeal. The crash was horrendous for me.

I would expect effects similar to DMAA, but as others noted, compliance is questionable based on the available data. Perhaps more will emerge though, as it did with DMAA when usp funded studies for its detection

We all would but that is the nature of the beast. This is in a lot of ways a copy cat industry and I'm sure this compound will be popping up a lot in future formulas so they are trying to protect themselves which is understandable. This is coming from a guy who appreciates transparency as well.

All pre workouts are going the way of "concentrated" and to stay relevant and appeal to the masses you pretty much have to follow suit. Luckily bulk items are available at affordable prices but I understand the frustration as Genomyx has been very transparent supplement company in the past.

We are a growing company and from a profit stand point we do need more as we are a growing operation with employees vs when Genomyx first started and i was working full time at Northrop Grumman. We can make a ****ty non prop blend product as well and market the hell out of it and make a killing. The online educated consumer represents a very small percentage of the market. What you guys probably are not aware of is the huge amount of small start up companies hitting the industry due to small min requirements from underground manufactures some who are not GMP and are copying other products left and right. Were not dumb to think that a prop blend will save a company from being copied but it will sure as hell make it a little harder to figure out. Some of our products in the past have been prop blend and most have not. What it comes down to is hopefully our consumers trust us by now.

So it was a good first impression. Right now 8.5/10. I feel exhausted right now but my contacts are bothering me too. Had an ok workout but my sister had to put her dog down and it was cut short. I'll update again tomorrow. Definitely noticed enhanced focus and energy at 1.5 scoops. Taste was good. I'll give a more detailed review tomorrow

So far I like it. It's a clean focus and no dmaa sides. I have been at 1.5 scoops but am going to bum it to two scoops today. As compared to other pre's I really like the focus and energy. I don't respond well to yohimbine so this is the strongest pre for me there than ec. I'll update two scoops today after I hit chest/tri's. I would highly recommend at this point. Only downfall may be cost per serving at two scoop. Np insider sale should be up soon I hope!

Have had it in the lab since April- characteristics, structure, etc all very similar to DMAA (even tested out very similar)- tried it with multiple blends; my assessment- we will not touch it with a 10-foot pole, lol.....but I will caveat this by stating that it is very effective, but the argument for natural occurrence just isn't strong enough in my eyes

On the dosing side- 200 mg of AMP will do the trick for the average person who is roughly 200 lbs. (89 kg), so the effective threshold would probably be 1.8-2.2 mg/kg, depending on stim tolerance, etc. (slightly lower if combined with other stims)

As with DMAA- seems to work better with caffeine- I was doing a 1:1 ratio in some of the blends we tried; we have gone up to 400 mg and higher of the combination during a couple of the testing phases- 400 mg 1:1 will really get your attention, but the crash is pretty bad, unfortunately.

Yes- the ingredient supplier is calling it Methyl AMP Citrate

Now that this old man figured out what was going here, I ordered a bottle of this stuff. I loved/love DMAA so this should be right up my alley!. Once I saw that it was gonna be similar I had to get a tub. Hopefully I don't need more than 1.5 scoops. It'll be expensive if I need 2 scoops per workout. That'd make it only 20 workouts per container. Guess I could do one scoop and see how I feel. If I need more energy I could stack it with another pre. Or only take it twice a week or something. Love/loved DMAA, problem is tolerance with that stuff builds extremely quickly.

Do you think this stuff would cause a bunch of false positives like DMAA did? I know its hard to know for sure but figured i would ask.

i would say it throws out less NE than dmaa but by far more dopamine....

LOL- we capped up about 25,000 capsules in a combo blend with caffeine and a couple other goodies just for fun (wanted to see how it ran in automatic machinery); great for doing research or analytical method development

Same way with Methyl AMP as well, unfortunately- you will love it the first few times you use it, but you will have to keep escalating the dose.....
