My doc prescribed me some Meloxicam a while ago and it's been sitting in the cupboard. It's a non steroidal anti inflammatory. I decided to do a google search on it and found some interesting information.
Meloxicam inhibits cyclooxygenase (COX), the enzyme responsible for converting arachidonic acid into prostaglandin H2—the first step in the synthesis of prostaglandins, which are mediators of inflammation. Meloxicam has been shown, especially at its low therapeutic dose, to selectively inhibit COX-2 over COX-1.
Would there be any advantage to use meloxicam as a workout supplement?
