There's a good article (dunno how accurate) on Oly vs PL squats on TNation. ATG is definetly more natural it seems, take a look at Olympic lifters front squatting 500lbs ATG for reps.

I did RE squats tonight and finished up with 1 set of oly squats at the end of my workout for 30 reps ATG and it rocked me

Jim, check out some videos of Brandon Lilly. He trains a lot with pause reps at 50-60% of 1RM to maintain strength in the hole.

Regardless, your squat is great for your weight

some cringe at that as well

I remember you talking about that, and it definitely makes me cringe.....

I think if I worked on my mobility a little more and started working on ATG squats it would probably help with my oly lifting but I don't do it regularly enough for it to be a priority lol.

I think ill probably work ATG on all of my lighter sets. I know its something I need I just hate going light lol.

    i like this mack
    great mentality
look at the hard things, as a challenge to overcome..some of your best results/growth will invariably come from this undertaking
i liken it to Arnold, and his view on attacking weak points..he mauled his calves which at one time were a tremendous weak point for him, because he dint like working them..they became neglected (comparatively speaking)
eventually, he turned this into one of his strengths, thru sheer will
i hated legs at one time, had freakin twigs down there..
took on that "attack the weakness" mentality, now many think they are one of my strong points

No linear acceleration work this week.

We did death by 10M Sprint for PT yesterday morning and I just didn't feel like crushing my legs on the prowler after work lol.

Today was OHP, went in with a bit of a headache but it's gone now. Just need to drink more water, and not sleep til noon.

    Pre-Workout: .5 scoop Prodigy, 2 scoop CreaTrona

Intra: 1 scoop Prodigy (will not do again, will just stick to .5 intra. May try 1 pre and .5 intra next time)

    OHP- Work to 1RM
    85x3, 95x2, 115x1 (Warm-up) 135x1 (Old Max), 155xF (stalled halfway up and couldn't push it out), 145x1 (PR +10)

CGBP- 10RM from WK1 to failure Note: On week 1 I hit 135x10 easy but was only able to get 155 for 6 so I don't have a 10RM and just repped out 155
    95x8, 135x8, 155x9 (+3Reps)

    Complex 1
    1/2 Kneeling DB OHP (1 arm): 1x10 // 50x9
    DB Row (1 arm) : 1x10 // 75x10
    Dips: 1x10 (per round) // +45x10x2

    Complex 2
1 Leg Bridge: 2x12 // BWx12x2 (Forceful contraction and hold at top)
Prone March: 2x10 // BWx10x2 (Hold at top)
    Face Pulls: 2x10 // 80x10, 90x10, 100x10, 110x9
    BR No Money: 2x15 // MDx15x4

Had a little bit more of a pump today than usual. Vascularity was good during the workout but I was suckin wind throughout the complexes (which is not a usual thing), also used more weight for the first complex than I had for a while (shoulder felt good so I went for it).

Also, this will probably be my last update for a little while. We are supposed to be heading out into the field on Monday and then coming back Thursday and leaving Friday to come back Monday. We are supposed to be doing PT in the field (probably Xfit) and they want me to bring my KB's, Medicine Balls, Bands, and TRX (which the Sir will be signing out from me). I'm not going to be bringing anything with me, except maybe my OT and Cissus. Haven't quite decided if I will even bring that (I usually don't but I will probably be better off if I do)

Damn it kid's beast mode!! How do you like the powder Creatona so far? I've done the capsules and thought it worked well for recovery.

I'm still feeling it out a little and playing with dosing.

I'm not sure I like it more than regular mono at this point.
