Couldn't think of a cool title for this one.

If you don't know me by now, well screw you, :joke:. I'm AD Army, and I train 2x a day on most days (sometimes more). Tons of running and crossfit, it's terribly programmed and I despise our training.

I have a trainer who programs my routine (extremely knowledgeable guy and takes a lot of work off of my shoulders) and since starting my mobility has greatly improved.

I'm working on my athleticism and I'm trying to work more sprinting days into my program, but it may not be possible when we do afternoon PT sessions.

This log will officially start tomorrow.

All measurements were relaxed, pictures as well. Taken in a fasted state this morning, haven't looked at a side by side but I'm pleased with the measurements. A little bit of an increase in waist size, that could be from an error in measuring the first/second time. But with a 5lb gain in the last 8 weeks I am OK with a little bit of fat gain. It doesn't seem to be much anyway, so I assume they were mostly lean gains. This log has had it's ups and downs (with field training etc.) but overall I made good progress, I am not maxing but when I did max (4-5 weeks ago) I made improvements in all of my lifts (except BP, don't think I made much there). I am going to put up a review here in the next couple of days, will take some time to assess what all I noticed and collect all of my thoughts and assess my progress.

Curious what you like more between watermelon and blueberry I personally like watermelon but never did try fruit punch yet lol

2nd post updated with pictures. I'm sore as fuark right now, my entire body is just messed up. Squats tore up my lower body and yesterdays OH Press and Rear Delt work just wreck my upper body.

Deadlift training max will be assessed tomorrow after my warmup and then the actual workout for the day will begin.


Current training maxes (no grinding out the rep for these, had to be smooth lifts)

Squat: 315 (hit 325 but it was a grind so isn't applicable)
OH Press: 135
Deadlift: ? (will be assessed tomorrow)

In the next 6 months I would like to have my squat at 350, my OH Press at 180, and my deadlift as close to 400 as possible (hard to make a goal when I don't know what I can do yet). I'm not currently benching outside of CG Bench for this next month (my PT plan already incorporates a good deal of horizontal pressing) but I would like to rep 205 on CG in 6 months time, I can do 185 for 4 with this but would like 205x8-12.

Looking to gain a solid 10-15 lbs this year. Put on three in the last 2 months and came out looking leaner than before, going to try and continue this trend.

Trying to work on that chest this year.

My pec minor was shortened so that has been hampering my muscle fiber recruitment. Trying to work that out.

Update Staples List

Sold my Mono to a buddy in my unit, so I will be using Green Magnitude at 1 scoop a day until my new thing of Mono shows up.

Also I have decided to continue using Compete intra workout during this log as I figured it would negatively impact my performance if I were to stop using it for this.

Spent a solid hour foam rolling last night.

Probably one of the most painful things I've done in a while, will stretch a little more before my workout tonight.

Still sore .....

Will be using finaflex creatrona at 3 scoops a day for the first 20 days of this.

Don't want to use the CL because if the betaine.

Will take 1 scoop pre and 2 post and then continue the rest with good ole mono.

First workout of the log! Deadlift day (OUCH!)

Worked up to a 1RM on Deadlift: 135x3 (WU), 185x3 (WU), 225x1, 275x1, 315x1 (belt), 335xF (belt), 325xF (belt + straps)

The 315 felt good, getting off of the ground was slow (poor glute activation and hip drive) but I felt like 335 was attainable. Got the bar moving but the form went south and the grip gave out so I lowered weight, it just wasn't there for 325.

Working Sets: Deadlift: 4x5 @ 82% 1RM
260x5x4 (No belt, or straps)

BB Hip Bridge: 3x8
45x8, 95x8, 135x8

Complex 1
BB Row: 3x12 // 100x12x2
Rear Delt Raise: 3x12 // 15x12x2
BB Shrugs: 3x10 // 185x10x2 (straps on second set, grip was smoked)

Complex 2
Behind Neck Pull Apart: 2x12 // EHx12x2
Prone DB Shrugs: 2x10 // 35x10x2
Side Bridge (10 sec per side) 2x3 (per side) // BWx3x2 (per side)
External Shoulder Rotation : 2x15 (per side) // EHx15x2 (per side)

Supplement Notes:

Can't comment on Paragon, hoping the NMDA helps with my sleep but expect to crash tonight anyway because I'm all f'ed up right now.

Initial notes on Prodigy: Initial taste was good (watermelon) but the aftertaste was like a kick in the crotch. Not the worst but certainly not the best tasting product (aftertaste). Energy was good, even for a deadlift day. I was sweating more than usual, can't necessarily attribute that to anything in particular as of yet but will be keeping an eye on this. Pump wasn't spectacular but it was improved, vascularity was up. Will wait to see if these strengthen with consistent dosing.

Workout Notes: I was hoping for more on my Deadlift but it just wasn't there. Haven't done conventional deadlift in a while so it isn't a big surprise but I was still really gunning for that 335. Hoping to get it closer to 375 in the next 6 months but will be happy with 350. I'm weak off of the ground and my grip is definitely a limiting factor, I got these little baby hands and they don't like to hold heavy weight. Also, as you can see I was one set short of the first complex, I wrote it incorrectly in my journal and thought it was only 2 rounds.

The effects of prodigy will only get better as you use it bro...I like the taste I use a little water and take it like a shot lol I'm not huge on taste as long as it works but I've certainly had worse much worse lol the orchard lean will keep you nice and vascular and your pump will keep up but focus is what you should notice the much and with paragon you should lose any water weight you get from the AI in it so that too will increase vascularity :) great job on the deads

I do the same with all pres

Gave it a sip to evaluate the taste first though.

Yesterday was a rest day for me, my entire back is sore still today. (Well not my lower but still) Forearms and hands are as well.

Will probably be heading to the track and doing some sprints today. (May be doing the field instead)

Woohoo, it's a verifiable party in here now! :djparty:

Preworkout: 1 scoop CreaTrona, 1 cap Paragon, .5 Scoop Prodigy

Intra: 1 scoop Compete

Workout: Track oriented

Band Resisted March: 4x20 yd, Sprinter start, made sure to get a good lean and arm drive.

Ground starts: 5x40yd from prone, 5x40yd sprinter stance
The prone starts felt smooth, good drive and acceleration
The sprinter stance was awkward, a little of it is a soreness thing affecting mobility but more of it is just how long it's been, acceleration was good on all but the 4th and the arm drive was fluid.

Cool Down Pacer: 6x40yd

Notes: A little pissed off today at the gym, had some douche nozzles standing around on the turf right in front of us. They saw us running down the turf and then just walked and stood there. They had a rude awakening if they thought I was going to inconvenience myself and dodge them on the 10yd wide turf strip, f***in morons. After I ran right through them they kinda got the picture and took their gaggle somewhere else.

Also my feet hurt today, not the bottoms but the top of the foot around the ankle. It was a sharp pain after taking steps on the balls of my feet. Never had this happen before but I will keep an eye on it, if I start to have any joint pain (had subsided for a while) I will just start taking cissus again.

I want to try and get a timed 100M sprint sometime this week (possibly Friday) so that I can assess my speed training in a few weeks and see where I can improve my time.

Was going to do some prowler stuff today but opted for regular sprints because of squats tomorrow, can't have fatigued legs on squat day!
