Day 36
I forgot to weigh-in before breakfast. I'll do it tomorrow.
I brought my calories up (+300) and plan on sticking with it unless I see a reason to make an adjustment.
My recovery seems to be improving over the last week. I'm very surprised that my legs aren't really sore at all. 2 weeks ago, I could've used a wheelchair for about 4 days, and that was with less volume in my routine.
Supplementation
VERSA-1: 1 cap 45mins pre workout
Compound 20: 2 caps 30mins pre workout, 2 caps 7 hour later
Forskolin-95: 1 cap morning, 1 cap pre workout, 1 cap afternoon, 1 cap pre bed (100mg total)
Pre workout mix: 2 scoops Jack3d Micro/2 scoops Protocol V2 (started drinking with V-1 and finished on the ride to gym)
ALCAR-500: 2g 20 mins pre workout
Modern BCAA: 2 scoops intra workout
Agmatine 500: 1 cap morning, 1 cap post workout
AP: 1 cap before 2 highest carb meals
My workout went pretty well. I upped the weight on a couple exercises and made room for a destroyer set at the end. My shoulders had a strong pump that remained for a while after my workout. Focus was on point again, which allowed for a great mm connection.
BB Incline Bench (ROM: 2-3 inches from chest/no lockout)
2 warm-up x8
185x8
205x8
215x8
225x8
Over and Backs
105x12
105x12
115x10
125x8
High Pulley Rear Delt Fly (pause/squeeze in contracted position)
20x30
30x15
30x13
6 ways
10x10
15x10
15x8
-First time using 15lbs and it was rough. It's funny seeing yourself in the mirror using every ounce of strength you have to lift 15lb DB's over your head lol.
Incline DB Swings (destroyer set)
40x60
20x30
10x10 (2sec hold)
-It'd been a while since I attempted this monster set. In no way were all 60 of the first reps "clean", but I kept moving. My shoulders were demolished and it felt awesome.
supersets
Ab Crunch Machine
220x10
240x8
240x8
Hanging Leg Raises

I'm not sure if I'll take tomorrow or the next day off. It will be a game-time decision.

Day 37
My weight was 216.2lbs (+2.2lbs from day 1) this morning. I'm happy with this and it looks like there might be some recomp taking place. My belly fat is down a little since the last time I checked (calipers).
My legs feel 100% recovered from Sunday's workout and my shoulders don't have much soreness at all.
Supplementation
VERSA-1: 1 cap 45mins pre workout
Compound 20: 2 caps 1 hour pre workout, 2 caps 8 hours later
Forskolin-95: 1 cap morning, 1 cap pre workout, 1 cap afternoon, 1 cap pre bed (100mg total)
Pre workout mix: 2 scoops Jack3d micro/2 scoops Protocol V2
ALCAR-500: 2g 45mins pre workout
Modern BCAA: 2 scoops intra workout
Agmatine 500: 1 cap post workout
Anabolic Pump: 1 cap before breakfast, 1 cap before afternoon meal (2 highest carb meals)
Today's workout felt great. It might've been my favorite since starting my run, and I was in a fantastic mood. Strength, endurance, and mm connection were all at a high level. I can still feel my back burning currently, hours after my workout.
Meadows Rows
2 warm-up x8
90x10
115x10
125x8
-Used a different T-bar with a full range of motion, which allowed me to hit my lats better than I had previously. I had a decent pump by the time these were finished.
Smith rest-pause Bent Over Rows (20lb bar resistance)
1 warm-up x10
200x10
220x10
240x8
Stretching
1min per lat x2
Stretchers
120x12
130x12
140x8
Scapulae Stretch Pulldowns
210x10
210x10
Stretching
2min per lat x2
DB Shrugs (3 sec hold/flex)
110x15
125x12
Horizontal Shrugs (3 sec hold/flex)
1 warm-up x10
70x12
90x12
125x8
-These took a good amount of focus, but I picked it up quick. Felt great, and I'll be doing them again.
Example
Hyperextensions
BW+45x15, drop BWx12
BW+25x15, drop BWx10
I'd planned on taking tomorrow off, but I won't be able to make it to the gym on Thursday. I'll be working chest.

Thanks Fumoney. Yeah, I'm pretty comfortable with it at this point. I'm really enjoying swapping in different exercises. I'd like to run through it again, changing things on a weekly basis, and incorporating some band work. There's a ton of interesting exercises that I won't fit in this time around.

Thanks dude. Nice, now the real fun starts. I've got about 2.5 weeks left of phase 2, and I'm approaching the max number of sets/volume. It's awesome.

Thanks mayne.
The only trainers/coaches I've worked with were for strength/conditioning and powerlifting. mattys4 might be able to help you out. He'll probably stop in here at some point. John Meadows (Mtn. Dog) would be an option as well.

Bean's 1st contest prep (Lecheek last 8 weeks) Thanks brotha. I'm highly addicted as well haha. Luckily I just switched gyms when I started and the place has everything imaginable. Either way, like you said, there are plenty of options/variations. Will do!

I had a sample of Enhanced (no Versa-1) about 15 mins ago and I'm about to hit the gym. So far I'm liking what I've started to feel.

Didn't know you had gotten any samples...interested in your feedback. Crush that chest.
I have tried those prone shrugs against the power rack a couple times recently and really like how they feel (get an awesome contraction). Going to have to try that new shrug variation you did last workout.

Yeah, the Englishman used in your advertising had some sent my way. I'm impressed. I'm guessing you're a fan as well, considering our mutual love for focus. I'll probably get a review up on the first sample tonight. Have you tried it with V-1? That should be pretty fun (I'll wait until I buy my own tub though). I thought the type of focus and mental clarity was similar.
They're awesome and I thought the "horizontal shrug" was as well. I'm feeling them today.

Day 38
My weight looks to be on the rise, as I stepped on the scale at 216.8lbs (+2.8lbs from day 1). My calories have been up, so I was expecting to see a slow and steady increase. There doesn't seem to be any fat involved in the added weight at this point.
Supplementation
-I made some changes to my supplementation today to allow for a good evaluation of PES Enhanced.
VERSA-1: 1 cap early evening
Compound 20: 2 caps morning, 2 caps 8 hours later
Forskolin-95: 1 cap morning, 1 cap pre workout, 1 cap afternoon, 1 cap pre bed (100mg total)
Pre workout: 2 scoops (1 sample) PES Enhanced
ALCAR-500: didn't use
Modern BCAA: 2 scoops intra workout
Agmatine 500: 1 morning, 1 cap post workout
Anabolic Pump: 1 cap before breakfast, 1 cap before dinner
I had a pretty strong workout. As shown above, I limited my pre workout supps to Enhanced. I won't go into a ton of detail now, but I was impressed. Focus/mental clarity was my favorite aspect (reminded me of Versa-1), but pumps, vascularity, and energy were good as well. I'll try it again tomorrow and post a link to my full review once it's done.
DB Incline Press (2sec stretch at bottom/2sec squeeze at top)
75x8
85x8
90x8
100x8
-I hadn't used 100lb DB's on incline in a long time. I was pretty happy/surprised that it wasn't very difficult.
Smith Decline Press (20lb bar resistance/ 75% lockout)
160x25
170x20
200x12
215x8
drop 160x10 (when form started to break)
drop 110x15(wide grip)
BB Flat Bench (2sec pause on chest/explode up)
155x6
175x6
185x6
195x6, drop 115x8 (no pause)
Pec Minor Dips
BWx fail
BWx fail
BWx fail
-I couldn't find the weight belt I normally use, so I stuck with BW on all sets.
These aren't too exciting, but here's a video for anyone that doesn't know what they are. My form was a little sloppy (chest was toast/final set of workout), but you can still get a decent idea of how to do them. You basically just lower yourself down (shrug) while keeping your arms straight, then raise back up using your chest.
Seated Calf Raises
4 sets
I'm going to try and fit the gym into my schedule tomorrow. It looks like there's a blizzard coming and it might be tough to make it Friday or Saturday.

Ya I really enjoyed my samples and felt 2 scoops might be too much for me.
I took V-1 but not pre-workout with the Enhanced because I wanted to test it alone and because I feel it might be unneeded.
I want a tub now...the samples just made me more impatient.

2 scoops was great for me, but my stim tolerance is pretty ridiculous. I think I'd probably still enjoy a slightly smaller dose as well.
Yeah, I waited until a few hours after my workout to use V-1. You're right that the combo probably isn't needed (for great focus), but I'm sure I'll try it at some point. I'm guessing that at least some of the cognitive effects are coming from the same source. I think I recall Jacob posting that he sold some of the ingredients to PES for Enhanced (I could be wrong though).
I hear ya. I'm excited that I still have another sample for tomorrow. Hopefully you can get a tub a little sooner than the rest of us.
