Haha yeah man, it kinda felt like one. There's cars lined up down the street trying to get gas. People were getting pretty bs when it stopped working. If I can figure out a way to get there I'll stay all day.

The silver lining ... you don't have to go to work!

  6. I'd say about 14" where we were, but at an inch an hour or so, it wasn't as crippling as the East Coast. The city maybe got 4 inches but where I live, closer to Lake Ontario, we got hit the hardest. But it's 40 for the next few days and most will melt.

    Here's my backyard today

I think its supposed to warm up here as well. It's pretty cold out now, but the sun is fully out.

    Nice yard man.

I'm not sure how I didn't notice this before, but the basketball hoop in my driveway has completely vanished lol. It was cemented into the ground too. I'm guessing it will turn up when the snow melts.

  8. We had 36 inches here in ct- 3 feet. Everything is shut down, I'm OUT of food legit. I do have power though. Hopefully in the next few hours things will be plowed so I can go get food..

Damn, sorry to hear ched. Shakes have been the majority of my calorie intake since yesterday. A lot of the food that I do have, I can't really cook without power. Some roads haven't been touched around here yet either. 4WD is a big help.

Thanks bud. Sitting in my car so I can use my phone for entertainment is keeping me sane for now. I'll be thrilled if I can get to the gym later.

  12. Day 42

Things are looking up. I got a hot tip on where to find gas lol, got a ride, and filled up a couple cans with 5 gallons worth. I even saw a few trucks from an out of state utility company not far from home.

I'm gonna hit the gym shortly and pray that they're actually working on the power situation while I'm gone. I might hold off on legs for today because I'm not sure if I'm mentally prepared for it with everything else going on. I'll see what happens when I get there.

Hope all goes well man! At least the gym will help u stay sane for a bit. I'm in PA and we got so lucky we only ended up with a few inches. Loosing power sucks. When hurricane sandy came through we lost power for a week and that sucked big time!! Glass half full man!! Have a great work out. Also, thanks for tossing up some of those exercise videos. I added some new exercises to my routine. Good looking out!!!

Thanks man. I can't wait to get in the gym. It's only been a few days without it, but it feels like weeks. I can only imagine how awful that must've been. I really hope it doesn't get to that point around here, but stuff happens. No problem brother. I'm loving the exercises as well.

Also, I noticed that I am constantly looking forward to the gym more so now that I've been on Versa then before I started Versa. I saw that u posted that its only been a few days but couldn't wait to get into the gym. I'm wondering do u feel that extra drive on Versa?

I feel that Versa may being giving me an edge by increasing my motivation...

Thanks man. I'll definitely check out the log...might not be until I get power back though.

I actually do have some extra drive with V-1. I think the increased focus/mind-muscle connection leads to solid workouts, which helps achieve solid results, which is always highly motivational. It really makes my gym experience a lot of fun and I'm always looking forward to it.

  18. Day 42 continued

I got in a decent shoulder workout. I didn't record my numbers because I was in a rush and my phone would've died anyway (that's how I track workouts normally). My focus wasn't as great as it usually is because I was thinking about getting home and starting a fire before it got dark...I didn't make it in time lol. Either way it felt good to get out and do something normal.

I'm way behind on calories for the day. I've only had a shake early this morning and another after my workout. I'm going to see what I can come up with shortly and probably have another shake before I call it a night.

Glad you were able to get the training in.

What do you use to track your workouts. I carry around a notebook. Do you have an "App for that" or do u just toss it in a notes section of you phone?

  21. Good job brother... hope all clears out for you soon, and they get your power restored...

Thanks Fumoney. I got work off tomorrow and will hopefully get to the gym in the morning. From what I've heard power should be back sometime Tuesday.

    Thanks man. It felt great.

I actually do use an app. It's a pretty popular one called Jefit. There's a free version and I recommend checking it out. It has an extensive exercise list and you can add custom ones as well. I have my whole current program laid out on there along with past ones I've done. It's a great way to track any progress.

  24. Day 43

I woke up and got out of the house fast. I dropped my friend off at work and am about to give some fasted training a try. I'm not sure if I've ever done this before (besides cardio) and I'm hoping I have decent energy/strength. I had 2 scoops each of Micro/Protocol V2 with a cap of Versa-1, Forskolin-95, and 2g ALCAR on the ride to the gym. I'll be sipping on 3 scoops of Modern BCAA intra workout...and there's snow/sleet coming down lol.

Thanks man. I usually use the 2g pre workout, mainly for a little added focus. I've tried different dosing options, but that's how I prefer to use it the majority of the time. Another time I've used it in the past is first thing in the morning (1g) with Agmatine and Na-R-ALA and again in the afternoon. Both times being before a high carb meal.

Got it. This is my first time using Alcar and I'm trying to find out what best worked for people. The way u running it seems to be the most logical way if focus is something you really want while working out and who doesn't right? Lol. I appreciate it big man.

  28. Day 43 continued

Fasted training went very well. Strength and endurance were both great. I did feel a tiny bit of nausea towards the end of my workout, but I think that was more related to the intensity of my routine.

I didn't record my numbers again, but I did the following exercises for a total of 20 sets.

    Meadows Rows
    Smith rest-pause Rows
    Stretchers
    Neutral Grip Pulldowns
    DB Shrugs
    Horizontal Shrugs
    Good Mornings

-I added in neutral grip pulldowns, which felt great following the stretchers. Huge pump.

-Hyperextensions would've been a decent wait, so I threw in good mornings. I hadn't done them in a long time and I'm glad I did. They finished off the workout nicely.

-I got some additional lower back work in the parking lot pushing some guys Mazda Miata that he decided to park in 6 inches of snow

I'm going to take advantage of the daylight and try to cook up some meat on the stove top. The liquid diet is getting old and calories have been down.

Sorry to anyone who has a log going that I'm following. I haven't ventured out of my own lately due to having no power and limited battery on my phone.

Meadow style to say the least !!!!

Breezy has officially gone nutso due to lack of heat and food.

Gotta hand it to you. You don't let anything affect your training. That's why it's fun to follow along.

    Great job !
