I started Ursobolic this morning.

I am a 46 year old maleI've been working out for approximately 20+ years

6'1" 204 lbs
Measurements:

Bi's: 18" Right 17.75" Left

Chest 49'

stomach 34

Thighs 26.5

BF 8%

My diet is on the low carb side but not totally carb deficient

Macros: 50%protein 25%carbs 25% fat, I vary my diet according to my look. If I am looking flat I bump up the carbs and reduce the fats, if I feel that I am gaining fat I drop the carbs,

I just came off ostarine. I am using this in PCT in hopes of maintaining my gains and becoming perhaps leaner or at the very least able to eat a reasonable amount without losing my definition. I just came off a cut and unfortunately a bad personal situation wreck my last week, so I am not as lean as I was the week prior. Need 50 post to post pics? I've already posted pics some time ago I am puzzled on this one, guess I had better start posting

I am going to run this for 8 weeks at the 9 cap a day dosage.
I intend to try to recomp perhaps gaining a few pounds of muscle while losing a little more fat. I think for this compound the camera will be the best judge of results. I will post weekly pics after week 2. That is going to be the difficult part of this log getting through two weeks of no expected results.

Observations:
Today just started taking Ursobolic and appetite is definitely reduced. Could be placebo effect as I was expecting that. I also noticed I was hot as hell at work and sweating like a pig, have the ac on now and still sweating. It appears this stuff has an immediate effect on core temp. That, I wasn't expecting.

Will not log diet today as basically I didn't eat, still stressed over my personal issue drank 5 protein shakes 50 grams each whey only

Took my Ursobolic doses with 2 tbsp of natty peanut butter each.

Workout:

Back and bi's
very heavy, No cardio Truthornothin' does not do cardio. Tomorrow will post pics and will be back on track nutritionally will post detailed nutrition intake as I weigh my food so this'll be pretty precise. Hope some of you sign on for the ride.

Pics are important, without them you can say anything you want, pics are the proof. My diet I actually intend to increase calories after week 2 to intentionally test the effects of this compound I can cut on my own with out a supp if I just have to cut my calories. I am hoping I can be looser with my diet and still keep my abs, that would be worth the price Ya' know?

Abstract
Ursolic acid (UA) is pentacyclic triterpenoic acid that naturally occurs in many medicinal herbs and plants. In this study, we examined the possible suppressive effect of UA extracted from Oldenlandia diffusa on zymosan-induced acute inflammation in mice and complete Freund's adjuvant (CFA)-induced arthritis in rats. UA treatment (per oral) dose-dependently (25-200 mg kg(-1)) suppressed zymosan-induced leucocyte migration and prostaglandin E2 (PGE(2)) production in the air pouch exudates. Since the maximal effective dose of UA was 50 mg kg(-1) in the zymosan experiment, we used this dose of UA in a subsequent study using an adjuvant-induced rheumatoid arthritis model. UA treatment (50 mg kg(-1), per oral, once a day for 10 days) was started from day 12 after adjuvant injection. UA dramatically inhibited paw swelling, plasma PGE(2) production and radiological changes in the joint caused by CFA injection. Moreover, UA significantly suppressed the arthritis-induced mechanical and thermal hyperalgesia as well as the spinal Fos expression, as determined by immunohistochemistry, which was increased by CFA injection. In addition, overall anti-arthritic potency of UA was comparable with ibuprofen (100 mg kg(-1), oral) while UA did not induce significant gastric lesions as compared with the ibuprofen treatment group. These findings strongly suggest that UA is a useful suppressive compound for rheumatoid arthritis treatment with low risk of gastric problems.

Protective effect of ursolic acid on ethanol-mediated experimental liver damage in rats.

Abstract
Ursolic acid is a triterpenoid that exists in nature and is the major component of some traditional medicinal herbs. In this study, ursolic acid has been evaluated for its hepatoprotective effect against chronic ethanol-mediated toxicity in rats. Ethanol administration (7.9 g/kg/day) for 60 days resulted in increased oxidative stress, decreased antioxidant defense and liver injury. It also negatively affected the serum total protein, albumin and A/G ratio. Subsequent to the experimental induction of toxicity (i.e. after the initial period of 30 days) ursolic acid treatment performed by co-administering ursolic acid (10, 20 and 40 mg/kg body weight) for 30 days along with the daily dose of ethanol. While this treatment causing a significant improvement in body weight, food intake and serum protein levels, it decreases serum aminotransferase activities (aspartate aminotransferase and alanine aminotransferase) and total bilirubin levels. Ursolic acid improved the antioxidant status of alcoholic rats, which is evaluated by the decreased levels of lipid peroxidation markers in plasma (thiobarbituric acid reactive substances and lipid hydroperoxides) and increased levels of circulatory antioxidants such as reduced glutathione, ascorbic acid and alpha-tocopherol. Histopathological observations were also in correlation with the biochemical parameters. The activity of ursolic acid (20 mg/kg) compares well with silymarin, a known hepatoprotective drug, and seems to be better in certain parameters. The protective effect of ursolic acid is probably related to its antioxidant activities.

Abstract

We investigated the effects of ursolic acid, a chemopreventive agent, on the expression of cyclooxygenase-2 (COX-2) in phorbol 12-myristate 13-acetate (PMA)-treated human mammary and oral epithelial cells. Treatment with ursolic acid suppressed PMA-mediated induction of COX-2 protein and synthesis of prostaglandin E2. Ursolic acid also suppressed the induction of COX-2 mRNA by PMA. Nuclear run-offs revealed increased rates of COX-2 transcription after treatment with PMA, an effect that was inhibited by ursolic acid. Transient transfections indicated that the effects of PMA were mediated by a cyclic AMP response element in the COX-2 promoter. Ursolic acid inhibited PMA-mediated activation of protein kinase C, extracellular signal-regulated kinase 1/2, c-Jun N-terminal kinase, and p38 mitogen-activated protein kinases. Treatment with PMA increased activator protein-1 activity and the binding of c-Jun to the cyclic AMP response element of the COX-2 promoter, effects that were blocked by ursolic acid. These data are important for understanding the anticancer and anti-inflammatory properties of ursolic acid.

8 oz V-8 juice
5 cups of coffee and about 8tbsp half and half

Mid Morning:

50 Grams Whey Protein
30 grams of walnuts
1 cup gourmet Granola...Locally made Pecan Chocolate Cherry mmm mmmm MMMM!

Post Work Out:

50 Grams of protein
30 grams oat starch

Dinner:

300 grams Grilled Chicken
70 grams of beans smothered in cheese and bacon tomato sauce and olive oil
1/4 cup granola

Workout:

Today was back and bi's I love cheat day workouts. Even though I had a back twinge from yesterday turned in a solid workout,

Unassisted chins 1 x 24 1x20 1x16 1 x10 3 x 8 3x5 Too many sets probably but felt strong did pulldowns on Nautilus unilateral plate loaded pull down machine up to 4 45's each side for three sets of 6, pyramided up and down, didn't do low rows because of a back twinge, used machine that replicates the movement of a low row but braces the core. Went way heavy, felt good. Did a couple other machines got a good back pump.

Bis used cables, up to stack for sets of 8. Preacher machine plate loaded, with 2 45's and 2 tens 6 sets of 8-10 then a seated curl machine to 120. My biceps were so pumped it felt like the skin would split.

Observations:

Definitely ate above maintenance calories today, I give myself 1 cheat day a week, I usually cheat harder lol. But I do intend at week two to sloppy up my diet. I am doing to risk my six pack to give this a true test. I usually get a good pump on high carb days but today it has stayed. Not sure if the Ursobolic is the cause but it is different than normal so I am reporting it. Its been hours and I still have a good pump. The Truth likey

Still sweating profusely and still have a slightly surpressed appetite but mostly in the day, I forget about breakfast until late and forget lunch but at night my appetite comes roaring to life. Thats all for this evening more tomorrow

Before Bed:
50 grams whey protein
! cup Fiber One
1/2 cup milk

Observations:

Today was my day off the gym, did nothing physical, back twinge is gone. Folks, I am not sure if I am getting more ripped but even with my currrent indulgences, I may look a might trimmer, and my muscles are way fuller. Talked to the gf on skype and out the blue she asked if I'd gotten bigger. I told her I was just happy to see her lol wink wink, But seriously my muscle bellies are fuller possibly from the partitioning effects of the Ursolic acid. She hasn't seen me in a week so she'd be apt to notice a difference and she did. Still not hungry during the day still ravenous at night and still sweating when everyone else is cold. This stuff is doing something. Tomorrow Pecs, Delts and Tris

Inhibitory effects of ursolic acid on hepatic polyol pathway and glucose production in streptozotocin-induced diabetic mice.
Jang SM, Kim MJ, Choi MS, Kwon EY, Lee MK.
Source
Department of Nutrition Education, Graduate School of Education, Sunchon National University, Suncheon 540-742, Republic of Korea.
Abstract
The effects of ursolic acid on the polyol pathway and glucose homeostasis-related metabolism were examined in the livers of streptozotocin (STZ)-induced diabetic mice fed a high-fat (37% calories from fat) diet for 4 weeks. Male mice were divided into nondiabetic, diabetic control, and diabetic-ursolic acid (0.05% wt/wt) groups. Diabetes was induced by the injection of STZ (200 mg/kg body weight, intraperitoneally). Although an ursolic acid supplement lowered the blood glucose level, it did not affect the plasma leptin and adiponectin levels. The present study shows that the blood glucose levels have a positive correlation with the hepatic sorbitol dehydrogenase activities (r = 0.39, P < .05). Ursolic acid significantly inhibited sorbitol dehydrogenase activity as well as aldose reductase activity in the liver. The supplementation of ursolic acid significantly increased glucokinase activity, while decreasing glucose-6-phosphatase activity in the livers of STZ-induced diabetic mice. Ursolic acid significantly elevated the hepatic glycogen content compared with the diabetic control group. Supplementation with ursolic acid significantly lowered the plasma total cholesterol, free fatty acid, and triglyceride concentrations compared with the diabetic control group, whereas it normalized hepatic triglyceride concentration. A negative correlation was found between the hepatic triglyceride concentration and blood glucose levels (r = -0.50, P < .01) in regard to insulin-dependent diabetic mice. The hepatic fatty acid synthase activity was significantly lower in the ursolic acid group than in the diabetic control group, whereas hepatic fatty acid beta-oxidation and carnitine palmitoyltransferase activities were significantly higher. These results indicate that ursolic acid may be beneficial in preventing diabetic complications by improving the polyol pathway as well as the lipid metabolism and that it can function as a potential modulator of hepatic glucose production, which is partly mediated by up-regulating glucose utilization and glycogen storage and down-regulating glyconeogenesis in the liver.

Workout:

Chest Shoulders and Triceps

Truth doesn't flat bench, not anymore, Started with dumbbell presses (recovering from shoulder and elbow issue right side first dumbbell bench session in some time more than a month) Warmed up with 60 1 set x 15 reps 65 1 x 15 75 1 x 15 85 1 x 12 90 1x12 95 1x10 100's 1 x 5 back to 90's for 3 sets of twelve, I could have done more 100's and the 5 felt easy could have gone with the 110's but didn't want to come back too hard too fast. Plate loaded incline bech machine pyramided up to 3 plates a side for about 6 sets of 8 down to 5 reps by the end of the 6th set. Pecs are really pumped now finish off with cable cross overs chest is fried and done.

On to delts. Warm up with over head dumbbell presses, 45 1 x 15 50 1 x15 60 2 x 12 65 3 x 8 60 2 x 12. The hammer strength unilateral shoulder press to finish frying the delts straight to 120 for 4 sets of 8. I do cable side laterals with as much weight as I can stand, every machine is different so I'll list no poundage as it really is irrelevant

Triceps- a little back ground, have barely been able to work tris the last couple months due to horrible tendinitis in my right elbow, it has just recently started to feel better.

Seated dip machine, Again a stack loaded machine, I took it to 290 for sets of 8 don't know how many didn't count I think the stack is close to rigt on this one I weigh 204, I have to wrap my legs around the seat post to hold me down while I press, I used to do the stack am only 10 lbs from being back to my old weight, 3 weeks ago 90 would have been impossible with the right. So marked improvement. Ursolic acid is an anti inflamatory so perhaps it is helping. Moved to machine whose motion simulates nose breakers, again moved to within 1 plate of my old poundage with only moderate pain 7 sets total. Then to push downs, to the whole stack and a 25 pinned on, sets of eight don't know how many then a drop set all the way down to 60 lbs which at that point felt impossible to move. My tris and pecs are cramping as I write this, good work out

Observations

Still too early to tell much but one thing I am noticing is muscle fullness, granted I am eating more carbs but several people have told me I look bigger than a week ago, I weigh the same. Will take pics on Saturday same lighting same poses to see what changes if any are detectable. I have moderate appetite suppression during the day and mad hunger at night. Sweating more profusely just sitting still, at the gym, drenched. As always, if you have any questions or want me to include something in the log that I am not just ask.

Definitely adding detail to this log my friends. I'm kinda intimidated to log this product lol.

Looking forward to those pics and your overall take on the product so far. Along with dosing protocols.

Hehe, very true. I will. And I will be watching here.

Any thing else noticeable?
Yes will fully log in once my chores are done lol, worked out so hard today I threw up, leg day of course, haven't done that in a while. I am eating more calories than before and have been cheating and am leaning up, its working, I am a skeptic by nature but I've added more and more carbs in my diet and usually that equals instant fat gain for me, not so right now, day seven standard dosing 3 caps three times a day. More later
