HCG for women

My girlfriend heard that one of her friends friends was taking hcg and lost some weight while getting stronger. Curious, I googled and found the "hcg diet" for women, but it limits them to 500 calories a day. Hardly enough to workout with. I know hcg raise LH, so theoretically would having my girlfriend take hcg a couple times a week help her drop some fat and gain some strength like a mini steroid cycle if she's a a moderate (500 cal) deficit, instead of 500 total calories a day.
