Bigger, Stronger, Faster
Has anyone seen the documentary Bigger, Stronger, Faster? I was wondering what opinions people have about this documentary, since it does not talk bad about steroids. I heard in it that no one really knows the side effects of steroids, and that a lot of it is just made up by the media. It also states that once you come off steroids that your body returns to normal, and that baldness is not a side effect of steroids. Well this got me thinking is that why when you see Arnold's cycle and see how he has no serm or pct, that he was still fine.
Anyways just wanted to see what everyone thought about this documentary.

there are side effects but there are ways around some of the sides. with male pattern baldness it was saying if it runs in your family and youre using steroids taht it was going to speed the process up. and as far as arnold i am sure he had problems. pct wasnt popular back in his day and if you got gyno then you got gyno naw mean guy? you got dat shizz sliced and taken care of. everything is more advanced now.. and in the documentary he is saying they havent done studies of long term side effects of steroids.. so they really dont know. the majority of people drink every day or every weekend.. you wanna have fun you go ahead and have fun.. but to those that are committed to the lifestyle having fun is being on steroids and cycling because they like the way it makes them feel and from my personal experience man the sides are no worse than a hangover

I would say this film is the reason I took steroids. It made me think if I am going to the gym every day whats the point in me not taking them?

there really are no "scientific" related side effects related to steroids, they have really never been proven because there is really no controlled studies. there is no funding for steroid research, even though they will possibly help people with diseases like they mentioned in the film such as AIDS, muscle wasting diseases and burn victims. Until we actually take the step forward and have research experiments on the side effects and what not we will truely never know. I believe there is no uniform side effect for everyone though. Everyone will react differently. If there ever is a government funded study, I would like to volunteer myself.

Wel considering fast food as been done in "Super Size Me" but yes bigpapa I totally agree that tobacco, drugs, alcohol and its abuse should be in a movie and this will at least help slow the death rates by those who watches it and is compelled by the truths behind it. The government is arguing back and forth already got rid ephedra in diet pills, next thanks to some high schoolers tren may be next, then what? You going to take away the barbells and dumbells becuase some newbie droped a 5lb dumbell on hus foot? I mean come on they complain about polution etc etc so one way is controlling cigs and if you want to avoid wrecks and people being killed then put restrains on alchohol. Plain and simple. In my eyes 20 people who smokes and drinks to 1 person doing tren (the proper way) you do the math.As far as the movie yes they need a Dumber, slower, weaker and show the world what really is the problam with todays society.

it was an interesting movie, because the media generally picks and chooses their facts. for example, the only steroids that cause bone loss, are asthma (steroid) inhalers, and these are given to kids. the media also focuses on extreme cases like "chris benoit" and blame what happened on roid rage, when there's obviously an underlying psychological issue. any parent that injects their kid with GH on a daily basis has some imbalance going on - that's really a doctors job if anyones. that horton kid was another great example of a parent needing a scapegoat to cope with a bad decision.
i'm not saying that steroids are 100% safe, but they're not the demon that they're made out to be, and BSF showed that.

yeah the taylor hooton case was ****ing horse****. the kid was on so many different medications and anti-depressants that who knows wtf pushed him over the edge. blaming it on steroids is just easier...because the GOVERNMENT DOES NOT GET A CUT OF THE SALE OF STEROIDS.

i agree with you man i aint got nothing against smokers but i know a guy who smokes a pack a day and works out with me sometimes. i hate the way he smells and he hates the way i look cuz he think hell never be as big as me. i told em if he keeps on smoking like dat and doesnt eat properly he wont look like me ever and thats the god honest truth hes gotta come to realize it takes hard work man it aint just about going to the gym and lifting some weights. it aint just about taking steroids and thinkin itll make you grow. its a lifetime commitment to the sport because it takes dedication and time mane you know

Agreed. Its hard to eat clean 24/7 straight for 365 days. Having cheat meals once in a while or haveing some ice cream is fine. You have to reward yourself for the hard work you put in.
