The Rays definitely need to straighten out their pitching rotation and the bullpen. I think it will come together, though. I wish they were in a bigger market, so they could hold onto established players instead of constantly being in a state of developing young guys. It is exciting to see all of these young guys come up and excel, though.

They do have a very good farm system and overall player development; I'll give them that for sure.

I can tell you right now what hurts it so bad: Their stadium is a piece of sh*t dome smack dab in the middle of the ghetto of St. Petersburg. If they would actually build them a decent stadium (they are tied into a lease though) and move them to a better location I think you would see much better ticket sales; and a bigger market team.

I'm glad I live so close by here though so I can go see the Red Sox when they come down here.

I live between Orlando and Tampa and it still takes me around two hours +/- to get to the stadium. I hear a lot of people whine about the stadium being in a bad location in terms of traveling to a destination. I would love to see the Rays come to the opposite side of Tampa. I think more people in Tampa and Orlando would be more likely to go to games. I love their ticket scheme, though. They have the cheapest average ticket price in professional sports.

I absolutely agree. They need to move it into tampa with good access from the highway. They would draw not only the tampa/st. pete crowd....but everywhere all the way to Orlando. It would be direct access from I4 which makes a lot of sense.

Much better location for sure; which is why they don't have any problem selling tickets for Lightning games.

    Oh yeah....GO BRUINS!

The Rays' starting rotation is WAY over-hyped; I've been saying that all preseason.

I'm not saying that the Sox don't have their issues; because they have plenty in the bullpen right now; as well as the tail end of their rotation. Losing Ellsbury yesterday for the next 6 weeks is rough as well, but they can effectively fill the gap until his return. Not to mention Crawford hasn't even played yet.

The Sox will make the playoffs this year. I have no doubt.
Only time will tell how quickly and completely Buchholz can recover from that stress fracture in his back.Meanwhile, the Rangers roll on.

Hellickson was horrible and the bullpen worse. The Rays spotted him a 4 run first and he could not hold it.Buchholz started out poorly but finished pretty well.

Oh man. That game started off promising. It seemed like every time I got up to do something, the Sox scored a couple more runs, lol. It's a long season and there's still plenty to be had.

I'm going to bounce before T1 shows up, lol.

You cubbie fans enjoy that W. Wont see to many of those this year. I called up ol Bill DeWitt that day and said to throttle the boys back on the cubbies and let them shine for a day since it hasn't happened in 103+ years. I just thought it was the nice thing to do!

I am not on AM much on the weekends, way to much home work to do not to be outside. This week... ripping out a patio... without truck access to the back yard.. this **** is just down right fun!
