About 20min into it, impressed so far, it does not seem to be the same type of steroid demonizing bullsh!t we see in the news media.

I'll update my post when I've finished watching, gonna get some cardio in real quick...


UPDATE:

Alright, so upon completion I stand by that this is a really refreshing looks at steroids and muscle in American culture. I thought it was cool that his brother trains @ Westside Barbell, and that Louie Simmons was in the film. His other brother though, I just bad / embarrassed for. The guy is clearly over the hill when it comes to contemporary primetime wrestling, and I felt bad that his wife has to put up with that. I think the film shows steroids didn't cause any of that, but they certainly didn't fix it either.... rather it has to do with our cultural obsessions of winning, obtaining greatness, and being perfect. I liked how they exposed some of these politicians have no idea WTF they are talking about, how people don't even really know what steroids (specifically anabolics) are, and how there is no basis for much of the demonizing that the media generates on the subject.

Just finished watching it. wow. Better than i would have ever thought, a great commentary on american life through the symbolism of steroids.

yea like that dad, whos son died, being so bitter twords steroids. He just puts the blinders on and doesn't want to look any deeper into it. God forbid it may be somthing his dad had a part in like putting him on anti depressents and makeing him stop AAS clod turkey. I can feel for him he lost his son and It's hard for any parent to have to lay their child to rest. He even says how he had his son stop AAS cold turkey knowing that deep depression could occur by this and put him on meds that have a rish for suicide. Dude should be looking in the mirror not blameing steroids.

Thats just my opinion though and it's people like this that make steroids look bad. Maybe if enough people see stuff like this (I thought it was obvious) they may look twice at steroids. One can only hope. I'd really like to bring this too more peoples attention around me but with that will also come whisper's of me using........eff it' It's for the good of the community.
