We all have our favorite products either because they are convenient, healthy, taste good, or all of the above. Everyone that I meet who is in good shape has their favorites and I like to pick their brain to get ideas whenever I can. I thought it would be a good thread idea for anyone to post some of the favorite grocery items that they love to use so we all can benefit. Even if it is already on someones list please still mention it because if everyone uses it we know its good. Here's my list:

Mrs. Dash(various flavors)-no sodium but still tastes good
Mrs. Dash marinades-no sodium, little fat and little sugar
Farmer Boy greek dressing-little fat and sugar and only 10mg sodium/serving
Myoto ginger dressing-great on chicken/turkey-good fats,low sugar
Smart Balance Peanut butter-good fats and low sugar
Boil-in-Bag rice--very convenient
Uncle Bens 90 second rice packs--convenient but more fat/sodium
Cartons of egg whites--big time convenience, higher price tho
Truvia Brand sweetener--stevia blend that tastes good-use on oatmeal
Low sodium ezekial bread-great complex carb--find at organic stores
heinz 1 carb ketchup--high sodium but low sugar
Ziplock large steam bags--convenient,cheap,reuseable,and no dishes

This is just off the top of my head and I will add more if I forgot any. So there is my list. Whats in your fridge??????? :reporter:

Gosh, I have not even looked at tortillas in ages b/c of the carbs. (When they are in the house, I tend to nibble on 'em a lot.) Are these flour tortillas? In the refrigerated section at Walmart or the Hispanic foods area?

In the bread isle at Walmart actually, they are very high fiber and the texture of low carb tortillas are not exactly like regular flour tortillas but the ones I get at Walmart are the closest I've eaten.

I've been eating sprouted grain tortilla shells found in the freezer section in publix or any organic store. About 30g carbs and has a small amt of organic wheat flour but only enough that it doesn't break apart.

I actually think that the La Tortilla Factory makes the best ones. I picked them up at a local health food store, but I know they sell them at Trader Joe's as well here.

I've been looking everywhere for this. Where can I find it?
Man it's getting harder and harder to find it here in Ohio. Walmart used to have it but they stopped carrying it to make more room for soy milk I guess. Here in Ohio I get it at Kroger. You could always request your grocery store carry it.

I use unsweetened organic soy milk in it's place. Only 2g carbs and a little Splenda makes it taste pretty good. (when I am low carbing of course)

Crack a couple raw eggs in with some vanilla, Splenda and nutmeg ... mmm mmm good.

Great thread! Always great to have a mind mapping session with like minded individuals. I'll chime in with a few of mine; bear in mind that I'm a big veggie lover/anabolic diet type guy:

*Raw Milk - #1 without a doubt; really improves my gut health, energy, and you have not had a protein shake until you've had one mixed with raw milk.

*Sprouts - Great addition to any salad and a good source of enzymes.

*Whole Leaf Spinach - just packed with nutrition and much more interesting than lettuce.

*Cucumbers - great no calorie yet very hydrating snack; homemade pickles sweetened with stevia gets honorable mention.

*Local Small Farm Eggs - Healthier for you then traditional store bought and taste much better. Whole of course; people just eating egg whites are really missing out. Also eat these raw from time to time.

*Local Grass Fed Beef - If there is a better meat source I've not found it.

*Kale - Bitter as crap but PACKED with anti-oxidants and really cheap. I usually juice it with lemons or limes to hide the taste.

*Hand Pulled Mozzarella Cheese - Probably my favorite food. With fresh tomatoes, basil, oregano, and olive oil it is culinary heaven on earth. Raw milk based if I can find it.

*Ezekiel Bread - Toasted with EV coconut oil and raw honey; a treat/cheat that actually has quite a bit of nutrition.

*Iced Yerba Mate Tea - A nice change from plain water and a good pick me up.

*Frozen Berries - Straw-, Blue-, Rasp-, etc. Great blended with some cold water and stevia on a hot day. Add some flax seeds to bump up the fiber.

*Fish Oil - Let's be serious, it's an essential food, not a supplement. I prefer Carlson's orange flavored capsules and Source Naturals DHA liquid.
