Brock Lesnar vs Frank Mir - SPOILER

2. Have you ever been caught in a kneebar? Do you have any idea how much damage a 250lb. bjj blackbelt hyperextending your knee can do?
 
I think the experience will do Lesnar some good. A bit of a reality check for him (not that he was being unrealistic). Maybe a little BJJ and grappling type stuff and he will be someone to fear in the future. All he needs is the guidance by the sounds
 
Taking on an experienced, black belt BJJ, ex heavy champ as his UFC debut wasn't a small task.

I think Lesnar has the goods, power, conditioning, he could scramble on the ground, to be effective, but he's going to need a lot more experience with BJJ.

I think one of the biggest factors about workout with bjj isn't just knowing how to defend against a submission once it's in the threat of being applied, its knowing whether you're putting yourself in that bad situation or not.
 
I loved all the pro wrestlers that showed up though. The people at the sports bar I was at went nuts when they showed them in the crowd.
 
I'm glad for MMA's sake that Lesnar lost. However, I don't think this damages his career too much. A loss will slow his career down, which is exactly what he needed.

I noticed the same thing. There seemed to be a bigger redneck crowd out than usual but I went to a new place too.

I'm not surprised at all by what happened. Brock didn't look too gunshy, though. He charged in and got the takedown, threw some big punches from what it appeared. He's got time to improve.

I think Mir could Nog a really tough fight.

Jas, you watch these events at bars? I don't know how you can do that. I have to be by myself in a very controlled environment. I've watched a few at bars and with friends and it's just not as good. Me+TV+MJ+JB=perfect MMA viewing environment.
 
I was kinda glad he lost but did so showing that he could be a legit fighter. It was a win win for the UFC in my mind

Amen, brother! Haha! Have to give Mir his props as I've been known to call him a tomato can. Given his last few fights, though, I wasn't too far off. He looked real good, like he's starting to get serious again.

I still pretty much think Mir is a can. I stand by my statement that if he fights anyone that is decently well rounded he will lose. He did a good job last night though, can't take that away from him. Gotta have some icky blazing for MMA events, or anytime:thumbsup:

I know, in his absence I forgot the only way to deal with the dude is not take anything out of his mouth seriously. I forgot that for a thread and actually tried to have a logical debate with him. :blink:

Yeah, he's still more entertaining than a lot of the mindless tard around here. He's got some intelligence it's just misguided.

I watched last night in a bar cause I didn't want to pay for that card.

I'm pretty content with my Hooters Take Home, My Bottle of JW Black and my GF for UFCs. Can't handle drunk *******s.

Bars are fun as long as there is a decent crowd. It makes it a night out which is fun. You must be ware of the dipsh!t population, though.

I've only had 1 chick that small, and I'm not saying I'm Lexington Steele by any stretch, but her vajayjay was not having it.
 
She doesnt fit the mold of my typical GFs. 5'8 -5'10 34-36Ds and about 125-130.

Shes the only person I have touched that doesnt fit that.

Oh I know how you feel bro, when she wears heels I die a little inside. I don't want to be rude, but sometimes I seriously want to ask her not to wear them out. It's so degrading when your hot gf is wearing ridiculous lingerie w/ heels and you have her bent over scratching the wall, and the whole time you're struggling to balance on your tippies. :p

I know you own a pair of "cheaters". At 5'10" you don't really need them, but all my 5'8" and below friends all have cheaters. It's hilarious cause they're close to my height when we're out partying and then the next day we play basketball and I'm 4 or 5" taller.

What are 'cheaters'? Sounds like they're high-heeled shoes for dudes? If that's the case, gimme a fvcking break. If I had 'friends' whom I caught wearing them they'd soon be ex-friends.
