A little bit different subject but did anyone hear them mention Rampage and Pride at the last UFC PPV? I thought I heard them discussing this, but I was at a loud bar and couldn't fully hear. It would be odd considering how they've made an effort to refer to Pride as "fighting in Japan" and not name any non-UFC stars like Rampage.

Thats because he fought Lindlind in the WEC,who is an extremly boring fighter.Thats Rampages style he has the tendency of fighting at the pace and level of the opponents he is facing,If you have seen the fight with Liddell,it wasn't just a loss but a lesson of whoop assness(haha, made that up)He totally destroyed Chuck.I think we need to see a rematch, which ever way it were to go.That is the only loss he needs to redeem, and probably the worst loss by ass beating he has had.Originally Posted by mp5man1

The more I watch these things the more I appreciate good submission skills and the ability to escape submissions. Not everybody needs to become a knockout artist just to please the crowds. Seems like guys just quit trying to take chuck down since he has such great defense against it.

He fought Lindland in World Fighting Alliance. Styles make fights, I think Rampage would win again if he was in the right mental state.Originally Posted by ripped218

I just watched Liddel vs Ortiz again, and that eye poke was pretty blatant. The worst part about it is that as Tito stepped back and began rubbing his eye (which Liddel had to know was not a reaction to a strike, b/c Chuck's hand was wide open), Chuck unleashed the barrage to finish the fight.
If it was an accidental eye poke, fine. Tito and Randy were both willing to call it an accident, despite occurring (at least) twice in a short time span. Chuck's bad: be a man and let the guy recover from the illegal blow. Chuck's response is basically the same as finishing a guy after a
Chuck is a great fighter, but this definitely compromises his champion qualities. Aside from a great sequence at the close of Rd 1, the fight was very close until this point. Tito caught Chuck a few times, and he was fighting Chuck's fight.

totally agree beo. i think the next time tito and chuck meet, the outcome will be different, pending tito doesnt get too caught up in his porn star girlfriend Jenna...

Sobral ****ed up...painfully. I was pulling for Babalu, but I knew Chuck would win. I think Chuck still would have beat Tito, and will win again next time. I don't question his skill or power; I just think it was a wee bit shady. Tito called it accidental, and I don't doubt that it was, but after an illegal strike, albeit accidentally, let the guy at least recover. Time out should have been called but Liddel attacked too quickly.Originally Posted by Beelzebub
