    TRT and E2

I have been on TRT for 3 month's at 1CC a week. recently I have noticed I am grumpy and a bit short with people on day 2 - 3 after injection, and then its smooth sailing the rest of the week leading up to my next injection. I assume this is due to aromataze & E2? I am using erase at 2 caps the day of, as well as days 2-3 post injection. I have realy noticed the mood change this week in particular. Any thoughts on what might be going on here? I am going back to my Doc tomorrow to discuss this, but would appreciate any input prior to seeing the Doc. Should I request Arimadex? what is everyone elses protocol on controling E2?

I had a problem with high e2 doing 50mg injections twice a week. It was raising my total testosterone to over 1250! Now I inject 3 times a week, and it is working wonders!! 30mg Monday, 30mg Wednesday, 40mg Friday. No more anxiety, high blood pressure, irritability. Everything is great now.

I suggest at least 2 shots a week, and 3 is even better. THat shows how same dosage split like this rather than one big shot works much better for some ppl.
THe more you mimic our body natural test production the better..which is small amount every morning.

This is definitely related to a 200mg dose at one time. 200mg made me a lunatic and all over the place with my emotions. You probably don't need that much test and could start lower, then work up if needed. Personally, I think injecting 2-3 times a week is a PITA, literally. I prefer to run a lower 125mg (.65ish) dose once a week. Has me filled with a slight intense internal energy 2 days after inject and then slide into greatness for 3-6 days until I am ready for inject again.

I do take 2 Erase the two following days. I honestly don't know if it is even needed, though, as I didn't take them this week and feel great.

Ya, may be just to much all at once...I am going in to talk to the Doc today and look at my last blood test. It will be interesting to see where my Test & E2 where at. Last bloods where 5 days post injection. I would assume my E2 would be close to normal after 5 days. I would like to see where E2 is at 24hrs post injection. If my E2 looks good, I think I will try spreading the dose over two injections as suggested and see what happens. Not looking forward to pinnig more than once a week.

You don't need to, it is just how some people like to do it. Adjust your initial dose to a level that you actually need and you don't have to worry about multiple injections. I know a lot of people on TRT and they all do once a week.

So I went in today, and E2 was not a problem on last bloods, it was at 25, would like to see it in the teens, but not bad. Now my test is a different story, it was at 1300 5 days post inj. My Dr just cut my TRT in half to 100mg per week, he would like to see my test at around 900. Once I find the sweet spot, I will be ready for a blast/cruise cycle, 8 weeks of blast and 2 weeks of cruise leading up to my next bloods.

For me injecting multiple times a week has made all the difference. When I inject all at once, my e2 skyrockets and my free test skyrockets. Three times a week keeps everything level, and this is the first time I've felt normal on TRT since I started a year ago. I guess some people just metabolize testosterone differently. I don't mind pinning three times a week, I actually enjoy it because I know it makes me feel normal and enjoy life. If I could just inject once a week and be done with it, I'd do it.

Looks like that erase was working real good if your test levels are that high with E only 25! That's impressive. I have two bottles just waiting for right time to try.

Well, in my case when my test level goes above 800, I get severe anxiety, and also turn a little red in my face and chest. When I go higher, a lot of it converts to e2 and I become extremely irritable and mad all the time.

I notice you mentioned redness in the face. Are you talking about a flushing, like when you feel anxiety or stress? Just curious if that is when you notice it, or if it is generally all the time?

I've noticed I get red faced a lot. It usually stems from getting irritable.

Interesting. I work with two guys that are on TRT and I've noticed that in meetings, if they are explaining things to someone or get upset, it looks like they are going to explode. I mean, red in the face/head/neck and quite literally look like they want to rip out of their clothes ala hulk style. LOL

    Lol--TRT SMASH!
Really though, mine is the exact same way. My boss had to talk to me one time and ask if everything was okay due to how red I was getting when disagreeing with him.

What's up guys, just read through the thread an looks like ur all nice and Not all high and mighty like some of the anabolic users, probably bc you actually need it. I just got a test level reading of 391 and my dr is sending me to an endo to do more extensive tests and probably start TRT. I am 24 btw.. So she said 391 is pretty bad and I've got all the systems for some time now of poor sleep, loss of muscle, sex drie, inability to burn fat (reduced metabolism) carb intolerance coupled with my love for hiit cardio and the weights (maybe too much) leading to over training. Also ate like a bird for a long time but have fixed that over the last few months but to no avail. Just wanted to ask what u guys think of 24 year old going on trt, and what sorts of stuff I should be talkin to dr about.. I'm worried
About estradiol bc I know I have higher levels (when i use erase, I feel and look awesome)

I see some of u use erase with your trt... Do u take any other supps? I've been a long time user of natty t boosters.... Obviously they don't work!!

Personally, I would not think of going on TRT at 24 with 400 level test. You don't say what the scale was that they are using, but either way, I don't think that is low enough to think about a lifelong treatment- without completely ruling out anything else. Stress, overtraining, not eating right, poor sleep, etc are all contributors to low test. Let alone other internal factors like thyroid, pituatary, etc..

It is a long, detailed process to get to bottom of it, and doctors are all too happy to just give you a test to check your levels and then just throw you on it, without knowing if it is actually needed. Take this seriously, ask a lot of questions, and do your own homework. I researched and studied this topic for the year that I was going for testing and always blew the specialist away by asking things that most people wouldn't know. They took me much more serious that way.

    Good luck.

Thanks. They r definitely going to dig deep n i want to rule out all other options before taking that step to trt. I've been reading lots too and this is just part of my research. Thanks again

No problem. Just don't want to see young guys getting on something for longer than they need. That being said, if you truly do need to go the TRT route- it is a life changer for the better.

For sure. I don't wish have problems but I have s poor medical history of anorexia at age 16-18 and I think it's catching up. They're checking for auto immune inflammatory diseases as well as thyroid problems.. So the low t score is just one piece of this puzzle. Just made my endo apt for Tuesday afternoon so by this time next week will hopefully know more.

I'm 27 and on TRT. Been almost a year now since starting. I'll say this, if you are concerned about starting a family, with being so young, I'd look in to Clomid if anything.

Given what you have shared, you may find that a lot of your "issues" may be "fixed" or, made better through, overcoming your fears of gaining a bit of fat. Not to say that anyone should set out with a goal of getting fat, but you may be missing key nutrients due to your avoidance of certain foods and products.

I would look for a good urologist who specializes in fertility and discuss this with him, should having a family be something you are wanting for your future.

I definitely feel better on TRT as opposed to off, but it's certainly not something I'd wish for myself at our age. I had chemotherapy and corresponding hormone issues for a few years now. I have a beautiful little girl and another girl on the way. For me, the injections have been a good decision...if I can get past this hair shedding thing! ; )

Take care man, hope you get feeling better.

Thank you! Yes I have a serious gf of two years and she is concern about that as am I. I will mention clomid and fertility concerns to the dr.

I definitely have corrected my eating issues and it's only been a few months but I notice SLIGHT improvement despite a lower overall T score.. I'm sure once the issue is pinpointed I will be feeling great and I will do whatever is necessary

No prob man. I know it stinks to be in your twenties and feel like there's something missing in your youth.

Just don't let anyone tell you that TRT won't shut you down and make you infertile. After about six-nine months on my LH and FSH was <.01 on the scale. Meaning, the boys are outta business!

Although they say you can recover, which is true, I've read that fertility can be adversely affected for years afterwards. Just stay cognizant of that.

Well that is where I believe my issue is stemming from- at age 16-18 I was anorexic and nearly died. Alongthe way, about a year in, I stopped producing semen. Nothing came out when I would orgasm... Leading me to believe that other things lkke sperm, testosterone, and other hormones Ike LH FSH etc were Not being produced. I believe firmly that I never fully recovered or began producing these hormones efficiently, if at all, following this traumatic condition.

This has already been said, look into everything, you are way to young for TRT, unless this is your only solution. As suggested, try clomid therapy , etc. before you go down the TRT path.

What can clomid therapy accomplish? Lowering estrogen? Or stimulating test synthesis? Or im wY off lol

Clomid is interesting. Essentially, from my understanding, it signals for your body to produce more estrogen. It raises estrogen, thus signals your body to produce more testosterone to balance that out. However, I believe it binds to the estrogen receptors which is why men typically don't get the negative physical sides that would accompany high E (other than some emotional issues, case dependent).

Again, that's what I think...someone more versed may chime in.

What you may want to do is to check you blood sugar as well as do a glucose tolerance test to rule out type 2 diabetes. Type 2 diabetes and low test seem to run together in a good majority of cases.
