clonodine might cancel out exogenous igf-1?

I take .5mcg clonodine a night to help with sleep and GH output. I am about to start my first cycle of igf-1, and am worried the clonodine might reduce its effectiveness... i know clonodine has been used to treat acromegally--does it do so by blunting the effect of elevated igf?

Re: clonodine might cancel out exogenous 1gf1?

I have never heard of clonidine being used for the treatment of acromegaly. They do use it as a test to help with the diagnosis of acromegaly. Clonidine acts in the brain to increase GH secretion and consequently Igf. I see no point in continuing to take it (unless you are using it for sleep) because the amount of exogenous Igf you are taking would overshadow the benifit of clonidine on GH/Igf levels. But if you did take clonidine with Igf there would be no interaction between the two.
