So the girl I like I over herd her saturday shes dating a old guy 10 years older. What do I do? He does not even live in San Diego and hes trying to sell his apartment in chicago I guess which means he could be moving to sd to move with her. I need ideas. Maybe I am over analyzing this. I need some opinons. She is going out to visit him next month for a week or two. I am tripping out when I shouldn't be.
 
I would just let them ride it out and if it doesn't work out between them then you make your move. There's plenty of fish in the sea but when you're in love it's more difficult to realize this.

Telling her how you feel isn't a bad idea as long as you're willing to accept the fact that it might strain or ruin the relationship. I personally would date other chicks myself and leave them alone. Chicks seem to dig you even more when you date other chicks in my experience, I don't know why but it's like crack to them

ride it out for sure. I did and it payed off. I was nice and close to a girl for 6-8 months. Met her at work, she had a BF of 3-4 years or something i think. She thought it was an ok relationship. She broguht the idea to him about moving in to gether, he was hesitant, he then started to distance himself from her he said. With a little insight form me, she ended up breaking up with him. She went out wiht someone else for 3 weeks, treated her like crap. I knew the guy and almost hurt him on 1 occasion.
Long story short, put in time, be a good guy, if its meant to be it'll happen.

Is there any attachment, previous relationship with her, hooking up? etc etc.

Do you think she knows you like her and do you think she may have feelings for you?

PS- Shes 6yrs older than me, and i live in Chicago....haha sorry i thought that was odd.
 
She knows. Her car is broken and I am picking her up to and from work. I don't have to but why. I know my room mate needs help and I am acting cool about it. She helps out my room mate that is in a wheel chair from cerebral palsy. I did not like her at 1st. year and a half ago. As I got to know her talking small convo here and there I started like every thing about her. We both LOVE pizza she likes horse raceing, shes going to be a lawyer, I love lawyers she likes shopping I do to, Shes fit and exercises I do to. It had nothing to do with looks. I new her previously before I moved in seeing her help my room mate out but I was not interested ( based on lookes as my room mate has severl good looking helpers). Its like looking for that specific computer. She has all the specs I am looking for. She knows I like her because my room mate made it clear lol. Shes perfect. Shes dating this guy hes 31. Shes 22. Hes in chicago shes still in college. Hes not married at 31 weird? Should I be happy for her?
 
I Know we click as far as common interests ideas beliefs. music etc. I even made a good impression with the mom and step father and 2 year old brother which btw he had a awesome time hanging with me for her graduation 3 weeks ago.
 
does she have interest in you? Just curious because if she knows how you feel and is not reciprocating and is going for another guy...it would make me wonder.

And if you are picking her up tonight, it would be a perfect opportunity to express your concern and interest in her...again.

Me and my friend have asked her out couple times. My friend his gf me and her. She knows how I feel because my room mate told her I like her a lot that she should go out with me. I bought her starbucks the other day and she excepted it. Now if this was 8 months ago she would have said no. I pick her up tomorrow but she knows I know shes seeing this guy on chicago.

ok so have you told her personally?? like just you told her face to face? plain and simple tell you that your the one for her and that shes wrong going out with that other guy. If she turns you down then ditch her and move on. its life. life is not going to be easy on you. just confront her about and quit whinning.

At this point i wouldnt do anything cheesy at this point... id just be nonchalant about the other guy... find out what shes really into about this guy... if shes just on the edge about him, then take the convo further and probe to find out how she REALLY feels about you..

Well I doubt its her bf since its only been 3 weeks. I mean heck they talk on the phone and text but thats about it. Different sates bigger stakes. HE could easily get someone in chicago so why her all the way from cali? I mean hes 31 shes 22. When he was 9 she did not even exist. I never told her directly I LIKE YOU but more like playing it cool OH YOU LOVE PIZZA LET ME SHOW YOU A GOOD PIZZA PARLER. Or when she said XYZ I would say I AGREE ABOUT XYZ MORE PEOPLE SHOULD TO. I asked her before if she wanted to go out to see some UFC etc she said no. I think its because my room mate would get jealous so she does not want to have a weird situation. I said to her the other day when taking her home I respect it if she does not want's to hang with me due to the situation if that is the reason or or if she really does not want to be friends ether way I said its cool for now.
 
You know what, I'd tell her how you feel (no sugar coating) and then tell her the relationship as it stands is too much work and that you can't be bothered with walking over eggshells to keep people happy.

Leather jacket, sunglasses and Harley are optional. If that doesn't do it I suggest you work the mother for your dues.
 
I think you should ask her if she is serious about the guy , when she tells you then you should tell her that it made you think about the interest you have in her and ask her if she has any interest in seeing how dating you would go.

You only have now to live for and at least you won't have to wonder what if... If she says no then you know to look elsewhere rather than sit around wondering what could be.

If you like her, you should have moved towards it before. Girls like to have guys in categories. You just might be stuck in friend zone.

Unless there has been sexual tension between you guys before this, your probably toast.

How do I know? I was the guy who was always the friend, but never the boyfriend. And I set about changing that in my life. PM me if you wanna know more about that. :)

maybe it's just me, but buying me a coffee doesn't imply jack beyond you being a decent person and possibly a good friend.

You may want to gather your courage and speak now, your window of opportunity will only be smaller if not shut completely ones he moves from chicago. If you speak up now and she changes her mind about him, you've done all three of yourselves a favor. There's less a chance she'd just ride a relationship with him out because he already went through with the move, and if she dumps him for you it'd be less awkward for her and wouldn't be the end of the world for the other guy, either.

I don't know man. You are reading an awful lot into very little. Do you think she thought of you getting her some coffee as some sweet romantic gesture? I really want to see what can be done but I honestly think you weren't aggressive enough in your pursuit of the woman bro. Hopefully this doesn't offend you but it seems as if you didn't take the initiative to wow her. If your friend is telling her how you feel then she propbably thinks you're timid about asking her out. You might not be timid in the real world but women don't want to feel that from a man.

As a rule of thumb, don't buy anything for a chick. The only thing you should be spending on her is for condom money. She has most likely put you in the "friends" category, which is hard to get out of. Go date other chicks and LET HER KNOW ABOUT IT. The hotter the chicks the more attractive she'll find you :)

My room mate /friend not friend her brain damage sometimes messes things up which is the one that ruined it. She told her like from the beginning (year ago) that I said I was madly in love with her which freaked her out, I just recently found this out. I did ask her out long time ago for some lunch/dinner and she turned me down. I also asked her recently and said no. My room mate made it clear that she does not want her helpers dating her room mate ( me ). So I think she does not want a weird situation between my roomate and her and is not showing her feelings towards me. Once she stops working for my room mate I think I can be more open about it and she can be more lax.

That might work if she ends up not liking the guy. How long has she know this guy for ? Has she been with him before ? Would this guy be moving if it wasn't for her ?

But for real DJ, if she has turned you down twice and she is dating a guy from Chicago, I think you just have to allow her to date the guy from Chicago if thats what she wants to do. Its obvious that she has an interest in him. Whatever her reasons may be, they will be. Im with the others who have suggested that you just wait it out and see if anything comes of it later down the road.

You are inferring a lot there boss. She's turned you down twice, but she enjoys hanging out with you as a friend. I don't think that she is "not showing her feelings towards you". I think it's the exact opposite, she is showing her feelings towards you, which are consistently those of a friend, and nothing more. From what you've told us, she seems fine with being friends and does not want to move past that. I strongly suggest moving on, as you can only make her feel uncomfortable at this point.
 
I agree. It sucks, and I am sure that it is very hard for you to hear but i would back away emotionally as best as you can. If you dont then you will lose out on any contact you may have with her. If I can give you some support here.. my husband was actually you. He was one of my really good friends that I really wanted nothing more to do with than the friendship. He asked me out on a date date only one time and I turned him down thinking it would be too weird... any way long story short... he waited for about 4 years and today we are married. There is hope if you aren't a freaky stalker over emotional type guy... but if you are that type of guy.. that is ok .. it just means you two aren't right for each other.
