As I said, sold the Taurus yesterday. The guy who bought it couldn't have been nicer. He has a few of them and is pretty much buying them up for his kids in the future. How nice!! Paid cash, so I handed it right back to the guy at the counter. My 45 is paid for en totale. Now all I have to do is wait for IT TO ARRIVE!!!! AAAAAAAAAAHHH!!!!!! Dude said it'd be here by today, and it better be. I can't wait any longer!!!

Only downside is that I thought the price the guy gave me on the phone was everything out the door. Then at the store, I got charged for the paperwork, tax and whatever. $45 less than what I thought I'd have in my pocket today, which was to go towards ammo so I can shoot this bastard. So, in true TiM fashion, I finished a belt for a guy last night. $50 in my pocket there. Plus delivering a bracelet order to a cop tonight, $30 there, and he wants me to make a dog collar - another $20-$25 for that one. WOO HOOO!!!! I'll start off with a box of Hydra Shocks just so I have my carry ammo, and probably a small box of something decent for plinking. Maybe after payday I'll snag a 250rd box of Remington FMJ ammo from Walmart for a tad under a C-bill. That'd do me fine for a while.
Yeah, the OTD price is always skewed. Add in the tax, plus the background check fee and it pretty much adds another $75-100. Great to hear it's finally yours, buddy!

The good thing is I sold a bunch of stuff and probably will be sitting on about $700 to spend here soon. Money burns a hole in my pocket, so needless to say a purchase will be made! I just don't know what I want yet.

I'm toying between either getting an original mosin nagant sniper, swiss K31, or a Saiga 12 (which i'll convert myself.)

    Hmmm.....

The XDM is currently sitting on my desk right next to me so that if nothing else, whenever I see a FB post about "grab the item to your right, that is your zombie defense weapon", I'll have a really good answer!!! And oddly enough, the gunshop didn't have much of a selection for ammo last night. They had some regular Hornady JHPs and another variety. I went with the others - Hornady Z-max. Yup! First rounds purchased for the Mossberg were zombie rounds, and same with the XDM. I'm nothing if not consistent!!!!

I did stop at Walmart before work today and picked up some FMJ rounds. I might crawl up over the hill behind the office over lunch and pop off a few rounds. Always nice to shoot on property adjacent to a prison! LOL

    Congrats!

I bought that Hornady Z-Max ammo for all my guns too, just to have it.

Now go out and shoot that thing.

Assuming you mean the XDM.... lol It feels great. I thought about switching the backstrap out to the larger one just to see how it'd be, but I'm honestly VERY happy with the way it feels. It's just... perfect!! And how it shoots.... dude... HIGHLY recommend this!! DEAD on accuracy, even for a crappy shooter like me. Recoil is a little more than my Taurus 9mm, making it easy to shoot and re-acquisition fast. Overall, I'm in love with this thing.

yup hot brass and a baggy v-neck t-shirt probably not the best combo..

So weird if he is a natural lefty, learning to play guitar righty really hard (but if you ever want to borrow some one elses guitar, and at least until recently pay extra for a lefty model if they even make one, you learned to play righty)... if you can do that - I would think you'd be able to shoot righty?

I do everything left handed except play guitar. I play it right handed like normal. I think it was easier to learn like that.

I've picked up quite a few more jems for my WW2 collection. I've added a Japanese Arisaka Type 99, 1943 Mosin Nagant Sniper (real one), Steyr M95, and a few M39 Finnish Mosin Nagant's. Thankfully, I was a supplement whore years ago and my rare collection has enabled me to acquire a nice fund for this WW2 collection.

Here's one of the Finnish M39 Mosin Nagant's that I got recently. Can't wait to shoot this bad boy!

Was one of my first guns I owned was a S&W .357 mag. And still have it. Just started loading Glue Gun Bullets for it so I can shoot at home in the basement or garage.

Most fun you can have with a Glue Gun and Bullet Mold.
