It is because of those state approved kiddie diddlers I will not fly to the states with my son who is not even 2 yet!
I will not subject him to be conditioned that it is Ok to have your personal space violated.

How many terrorists have they caught with this hi-tech dog and pony show? I think I can get a glimpse as to how cattle must feel when they are on their way to the slaughter house..
Thanks for the vids..

I've written my congressmen about the TSA, as well as other recent issues. If you want this to change, I recommend you do so as well.
I think what you stated is all well and good, but some action needs to be taken, and I believe in hitting them right where it hurts.. the wallet :D

Withdraw all $upport from these pedo's, and their handlers by not flying period, getting sexually assaulted, discriminated against, and threatened (if you dont comply.. such a benign word for BOW DOWN!) to catch some sun in Hawaii is not my version of a relaxing vacation.
Try it out, if the world can turn off their lights for 1 hour to try and "save" the planet (really? cmon now) how about 1 week no flying to prevent your wife\girlfriend\daughter\ from getting groped in front of you. Pay it forward :)

This is very sad but if a person can stick a weapon up their butt they will use a child in a heart beat to traffic things through security. It's one of those things that is very offensive, yet if a terrorist straped a weapon to their child and got through security everyone would be mad they got through and say security failed. Where's the balance? It's extremely hard to balance.

The TSA has also proposed X-Ray machines,

The reason why is shocking,

Bombs can be placed as implants inside women's breasts.

Hey...wait until they start having all these naked body scanners at all the sport stadiums, and other large public events.

They patted down train passengers a while back, getting off the train!

One thing we all need to remember and you can take this as a positive or negative; no one is forced to fly in an airplane. It's a choice you make and not a constitutional right. Neither is going to a baseball game or rock concert.

If you want to let the airlines know how you feel, then stop flying. If you want to fly, for now, you have to jump thru these hoops.

They make people dependent on things and then they figure out how to make more money off it.

Just think....the billions of dollars of naked body scanners were already made and ready to go before that "Detroit Bomber Incident"

Politicians are then subject to lobbying (bribery) in order to fund their re-elections and the whole system gets corrupt. I still feel there a few good people in the system but its so hard to trust anyone anymore.

Flaw, I think what you just stated illustrates the fear imposed on everyone in the states. *What if*, well lets see, no one has been caught doing so with all the sophisticated scanners, dogs, chemical detectors, and yes, the sex offenders who must be loving to get paid what they would normally be taken to court and imprisoned for.

There is no such thing as balance, your rights have just been stripped and you either obey, or else you will be painted as a dissident, much like some of the children.

Its been what, 10 years since the constitution has been disintigrated, and this is the result, more loss of freedom for security to protect you against what? What does the enemy look like? Whenever you go to war you know who you are fighting against, where is this elusive creature that has caused so much fear and terror on the US... It smells like a lot of BS to me.

Well....it would effect you if a plane happened to blow up and land on your house. Plane crashes have happened in communities in the past.

Nobody wants any kids having bombs strapped on, but it gets to the point of it being ridiculous. I dont want to get shot on the street, perhaps every home should have a metal detector on their front doors too.

Not trying to be a pecker here to you, I do agree some security is necessary. Just saying...some people view things differently. I for one think that that 6 year old may have some issues when she grows up, its more than civil liberties that is a concern. If someone did that pat down to you in the park they would go to jail.

So your saying its ok for strangers to be groping kids in public, and that as long as the parents to make a big deal out of it they will be fine?

Some people are spoiled yes...but what has made the USA special is that we dont have to subdue to the higher authority which is slowly fading away for "security" reasons.

Nope. That is not what I am saying. I am saying that if you choose to get on an airplane, that the lawful authorities in uniform we have in place at this time may search you. This isn't Chester the Molester hiding in the little boys section at Wal Mart.

If you don't like it, don't get on a plane.

TSA are not doctors, they are low wage workers just like they are at Wall Mart.

Actually...I did post about a TSA agent raping a 14 year old girl, and what worries me anyone who has a fetish for children would love to have a TSA job.

They are just regular people, and I do feel most people are good people but Chester the Molester could already be or is looking for a TSA job right now.

Like I said, if you don't like it, don't get on a plane.

Villifying the TSA is too easy here. You may as well stop trusting all firemen, policemen, priets, boy scout troup leaders, school teachers, etc etc etc and lock yourself in your home. Every one of those examples has had their share of pedophile incidents because of the predatory nature of pedophiles.

Yeah, TSA has its problems but the problems are the result of terrorists. Don't lose sight of what has really caused all this.

FWIW, I think rape and child molestation should be a death penalty sentence. I'm not defending any of those scumbags.

Wow... some common sense.

Please anyone tell me what these new security measures have garnered us. I will wait by while you think about that. Did they stop the underwear bomber? Nope, the people on the plan did. How about the shoe bomber? Wait, nope.

How about real security? Nadda.

What have gotten is a scared mentality because the terrorist have won this battle. The whole point of terrorism is to disrupt your way of life, and that is exactly what has happened.

The TSA are a bunch of hacks who have a power trip. Every time I fly they are absolutely rude for no reason whatsoever, being rough with the elderly asinine to anyone who asks them a question. They are high school drop outs who couldn't make it, bottom line. If you think the TSA makes you safer you are sadly mistaken and are definitely drinking the purple government kool aide. The TSA was the lowest bidder for air port security to the feds, that is all, they are the federal reserve of air port security. Most of which lacks the one thing that is truly required of security people, the ability to read people and point out something that is even slightly off about someones behavior. Instead we douse ourselves with radiation that builds up in your body over your lifetime and think a computer will figure it out.

Man has been out thinking computers since they were invented.

No never had been in prison but I know people. Im a law abiding citizen.

Even with those prison pat-downs its amazing the arsenal of drugs that still get through anyways, isnt it?

I feel blessed that my country (USA) is keeping us safe...but what I support is just good old fashioned police work.

We should be supporting the police, pay them more, give them their resources, their funds, their benefits...and have good old fashioned police/detective work protecting us from crime/terrorism, not TSA and billionaires selling their toxic airport equipment. Sent the funds to the cops not rich people and TSA. The money is there, use it right.

I see nothing wrong with this at all. Im sure none of the TSA workers are "getting off" by patting a child down. Nobody has been caught using these precautions because the "terrorists" see what they are doing and have no way around it. Its a "damned if ya do, damned if ya dont" type deal. As stated above, if you dont like it, dont fly. People need to inform their children about current events and let them know about the times we are living in. I feel like these people are looking for an easy way to make some cash and this happens to be an easy target. I never knew they hire pedafiles in the TSA. Its news to me lol.

TO be honest, I dont know if any are "getting off" however, the slightest chance that someone is tells me right away how wrong this is. Again, we have certain freedoms in this country, that to me should not be infringed upon. My personal, physical privacy is amongst them

Really? You are claiming that the full body scanners are a complete success after less than a year? I am PRETTY sure there was well over a year between 9-11 and the underwear bomber, so maybe it is a bit premature to call it a success. Any common idiot can sit down and find ways to penetrate that impenetrable security.

As for who they hire... come on man. If you are a warm body they will hire you, I do believe you have gone through a security check point and see they are not the cream of society correct? It was just two weeks ago here in missouri that a grade school teacher was secretly video taping the young girls in he class from a low angle... unless you are implying they knowingly hire pedofiles!?

I like it but then I think we all need to decide if getting on an airplane is an essential liberty. TSA, while not ideal, is not preventing the general population from flying. It's just not as convenient as it used to be. There are other forms of travel available that can take you anywhere on this planet. It just takes longer and is less convenient. So, no, air travel is NOT an essential liberty.

Then, we move on to what is or is not reasonable in a search. Based on the methods we have seen employed by terrorists and the fact that no US planes have been succesfully bombed or hijacked since 911, that might be prima facie evidence that at least some of what we have TSA doing IS working.

Pedophiles and TSA related crimes aside, when you consider the potential for disaster, I have no issue at all with what TSA does. Just ask the families of the Pan Am 103 Lockerbie bombing victims, flight 93 in PA, or the other flights involved in 911 what they might consider unreasonable now.

Do a Google search. Over the past 5 years, more priests and others from the groups I listed above have been arrested for theft, child molestation, and worse than the TSA. Yet, no one is yelling about that. Let's disband the Boy Scouts of America, ban altar boys in church, eliminate teachers, et al and all the evil incompetent organizations that hire pedophiles.

That is a logical fallacy considering the TSA security points have been breached how many times? TSA has been beaten time and time again. Just that the people are either idiots in their plot, or the people stopped them.

So then, how many time before 9-11 without all these unnecessary checks?

Read some Bruce Schneier and then come back and tell me how the TSA is making us safer.

i have a few felony convictions... have u ever heard of people going for revenge after they got themselves fired at work???

the purpose of having these "pat downs" is to prevent bad sht from going down...

you can have pat downs, (which suck)

or you can have people sh*t up, (which sucks wayyyy worse...)

having someone pat you, or your kid down... is the lesser of the two evils

thats not to say i wouldnt be mad if someone searched my kid....

I do understand where you are coming from, but I respectfully disagree. At the end of the day, a pat down of a 6 year old (where her parents were advised that the TSA agent was going to use the back of her hand on her "sensitive parts") to me is over the top. As I said, my daughter is 8, and anyone going down that road, I assure you will lead to no good

Outside of that, things with all of these TSA rules and regulations have proven to not be as effective as intended. With that said, it seems to make them a tad pointless imo.

As a father and increasingly frequent flyer, I have to respectfully disagree. ALL PEOPLE getting on a plane should be subject to the same searches. Those searches should be thorough enough to determine that there is no bomb strapped to anyone; 30 yo men, 97yo grandmothers, 3yo kids.....EVERYONE.

I'm sorry but it seems like people just can't get over the pedophile angle here. A few bad apples in the barrel does not mean that the TSA is 100% ineffective.

I understand, but I will say I think the pedophilia issue is just a part. You yourself said that you have beaten TSA screening before, thus proving a sense of ineffectiveness.

Again, my biggest issue is that once again we continue to lose freedoms. I am not talking about flying (I agree with your previous post on this) but I do have the freedom to my personal physical space

What the hell happened to those machines that blew a wind on you that were supposed to detect explosives? I remember back on 05 I went though one of those. Dont know their safety data...but I was not ethically offended at least.

On another note...Israel doesnt subject their passengers to offensive pat downs and naked body checks and they get terrorism all the time. Havent seen any issues on their airplanes either.

They do interview techniques.

In China...even they dont make me go through unreasonable pat-downs or naked body scanners, and they pretty much are a police state.

Ron Paul is the man...he says it just the way it is. I like how he brings up how the pilot has a gun in the cokpit, but the TSA still has to put their hands down their underwear. Besides, all the pilot has to do is turn the steering wheel.

quote:
Ron Paul introduced legislation to protect Americans from physical and emotional abuse by federal Transportation Security Administration (TSA) employees conducting screenings at the nation's airports.

Be careful how much "Safety" we demand from our government or allow it to impose on us. Complete freedom is anarchy, but complete control is totalitarianism. In the middle somewhere is the balance where we maintain our personal freedoms in relative safety. I for one, am willing to risk a little of the safety aspect not to risk my personal freedoms related to privacy. Once we lose or give up our freedom in the name of safety and security, we will not get it back.

First of all, he boarded the plane in Amsterdam. They dont just hire anybody...there are all kinds of background checks and im sure if they had some kind of sexual offense against a child on their recoed, they wouldnt hire them. Somebody posted that they ARE pedofiles so that was geared more towards THAT person. There is NO way of predicting someones future actions PERIOD! So for those saying there rights are being violated, what do you suggest they do? Let people come and go as they please? So they quit doing these security checks and the moment something goes wrong, everyone acts surprised. What do you expect? I am almost positive that ANY COMMON IDIOT CANNOT FIND A WAY TO PENETRATE THAT IMPENETRATABLE SECURITY! Nice try though. I too enjoy my freedom, thats why I WILL let them grab me wherever they please, as long as I get from point A to point B in one piece.
