TSA backscatter radiation safety tests were rigged

(NaturalNews) It can now be revealed by NaturalNews that the TSA faked its safety data on its X-ray airport scanners in order to deceive the public about the safety of such devices.

As evidenced by recent events in Washington, we now live in an age where the federal government simply fakes whatever documents, news or evidence it wants people to believe, then releases that information as if it were fact. This is the modus operandi of the Department of Homeland Security, which must fabricate false terror alerts to keep itself in business -- and now the TSA division has taken the fabrication of false evidence to a whole new level with its naked body scanners (see below).

Ive been accused of being a "conspiracy theorist" for my allegations that TSA is expanding its agenda far and beyond its airports.

Now TSA is starting to show up at your Prom Night

TSA to oversee searches at Santa Fe prom

http://www.kob.com/article/stories/S2122102.shtml?cat=504
Saturday night, a certified TSA official will be at the Santa Fe High School prom to oversee student searches.

This all comes after two Capital High School students, sisters, filed a lawsuit saying they were groped by a security agent at Capital High School's prom last month. On Friday, the court ordered Santa Fe Public Schools and the security company ASI to provide at least one TSA certified person at the Santa Fe High School prom and the Capital High School graduation.

TSA To Work Security At Santa Fe HIGH SCHOOL Prom

Article below by:
Kurt Nimmo
May 23, 2011

Last week it was announced that TSA goons would conduct a grope-down of students during prom night at a Santa Fe high school. The TSA promised to move from airports into the New Mexico high school after two girls said security personnel groped them and a federal judge ruled the TSA should conduct pat-downs at dances or graduations.

The judge’s ruling indicates the federal government and the TSA believe they should be conducting searches. The TSA has moved from airports to train and bus stations. TSA boss Napolitano has said she envisions the agency ultimately groping citizens at malls and hotels.

On Saturday night, however, the TSA did not conduct the searches at the Santa Fe high school as promised. Government searching students is now a well-established practice at public schools.

Santa Fe superintendent Bobbie Gutierrez told KOAT News in Albuquerque that instead of TSA goons with blue latex gloves, the court allowed Santa Fe High School to use state police to search students.

KOAT does not want the media to share its video, but you can see a report on the TSA back down over on YouTube.

TSA Thug Grabs Crotch of Injured Vet

TSA Harasses Two Texas Wounded Veterans at Airport with War Shrapnel in their Bodies

quote:
"TSA agents harassed two Texas Wounded Veterans trying to get on a plane. Where were these two wounded warriors going? They were going to a ceremony to honor them for their courageous service in defending America. One of the wounded warriors, a friend of mine who personally told me what happened, has bullet fragments in his leg. The other wounded warrior has shrapnel in his face.

The TSA agents cornered them and bombarded them with repeated questions like, “What are you hiding in your face?” The agents did not give the wounded warriors time to explain anything and went straight into accusing them of “hiding” something in their bodies. Yeah, they are hiding something alright. They have metal in their bodies from war! My friend told me that one TSA agent came up to him and asked what he was hiding in his leg, but before my friend could answer he said that the TSA agent grabbed him, without notice, right in the crotch area as if trying to find something hidden. My friend has served many tours of duty, and I believe him when he tells me that it took everything in him not to react defensively when this agent grabbed his crotch without even letting him know he was going to be pat searched."

Homeland security deploys mind-reading hardware
Nail the perp while he thinks of the crime

From www.techeye.net
31 May 2011 16:24 | by Nick Farrell in Rome | posted in Science

The US Department of Homeland Security has begun field testing new technology which it thinks can identify people who intend to commit a terrorist act, just by looking at them.

According to the magazine Nature, which we get for the spot the Schroedinger's cat competition, the US spooks have been conducting tests of Future Attribute Screening Technology (FAST) in the past few months at an undisclosed location in the northeast of the US.

The gear apparently uses uses remote sensors to measure physiological properties, such as heart rate and eye movement.

It has been in development since 2008 and it apparently can tell your intent to cause harm.

It is all based on a form of witchdoctor psychology called behavioural science. These boffins have the cunning theory that someone with malintent may act strangely, show mannerisms out of the norm, or experience extreme physiological reactions based on the extent, time, and consequences of the event.

Homeland Security's FAST technology design so that coppers can basically arrest anyone who looks them funny. So no change there then.

The DHS claimed the machine was accurate 70 percent of the time the other 30 percent will probably get out of Guantanamo Bay in a couple of years.

However some boffins think the gear will give shedloads of false positives.

Tom Ormerod, a psychologist in the Investigative Expertise Unit at Lancaster University, told Nature that even having an iris scan or fingerprint read at immigration isenough to raise the heart rate of most legitimate travellers.

In short, coming into Los Angeles Airport would turn Mother Theresa into a screaming psychopath, it does not mean that you are going to act on your impulses.

VIDEO: Woman Screams For Help After TSA Molestation

Steve Watson & Paul Joseph Watson
June 2, 2011

Video of an incident recorded over the memorial weekend at Sky Harbor International in Phoenix, AZ, documents how the TSA deal with people who are traumatized by grossly invasive enhanced pat downs.

After a woman refused to go through a full body scanner she was pulled aside and made to undergo the pat down procedure. When the TSA agent touched the woman’s breasts, she broke down into tears and screamed for a police officer.

When police officers arrived on the scene they led the woman away and told her that unless she would submit to the full pat down procedure she would not be able to fly.

“Why won’t you help me? You’re a police officer why won’t you help me?” the woman asks in the video.

All the while the woman’s son was filming the ordeal on his phone, having to constantly fend off threats from TSA agents falsely claiming he was breaking the law. The agents also threatened to confiscate the man’s luggage, even though he had been through the screening process.

Watch the video:
TSA Sexually Assaults My Mother

5-28-11 at Sky Harbor International in Phoenix, AZ my mother was sexually assaulted which brought her to tears. Multiple TSA agents claimed to know my whole family (WELCOME TO 1984) TSA then threatened to steal my luggage because I left it unattended... rather because I was 10 feet from it. I was then threatened to have my ability to fly revoked by Southwest Airlines, NOT TSA. Southwest Airlines then threatened to have me arrested for filming the event, even though TSA, Southwest, and Phoenix Police couldn't provide me with the statute or law that claims I cannot film in a public area. Here is that event. Police- Protecting and Serving??? Why is TSA asking for my father's phone number and address at the end of this ordeal, to add us to a no-fly list or spy on us?

The family was previously subjected to similar scrutiny from the TSA at Sky Harbor earlier in the year, prompting them to voice protest over violation of their Constitutional rights.

The previous incident was also captured on video (below) and was evidently remembered by some of the TSA workers who claimed to know that the whole family are routine troublemakers.

TSA - How Many Laws Did You Just Violate?

This is the account of events on New Year's Eve, 2010. On 12/31/10 my family was subjected to outright lies and invasion of property/persons. Here is that account. You judge for yourself just how far these Wal-Mart greeters with badges have taken things. Judge for yourself how the Phoenix PD couldn't get away with what TSA was able to in my coversation with one officer. Also, recognize how they all continue presenting false choices.

Flaw, I think what you just stated illustrates the fear imposed on everyone in the states. *What if*, well lets see, no one has been caught doing so with all the sophisticated scanners, dogs, chemical detectors, and yes, the sex offenders who must be loving to get paid what they would normally be taken to court and imprisoned for.

There is no such thing as balance, your rights have just been stripped and you either obey, or else you will be painted as a dissident, much like some of the children.

Its been what, 10 years since the constitution has been disintigrated, and this is the result, more loss of freedom for security to protect you against what? What does the enemy look like? Whenever you go to war you know who you are fighting against, where is this elusive creature that has caused so much fear and terror on the US... It smells like a lot of BS to me.
I think you are a little off man. I am all for civil liberties and personal rights but when you VOLUNTARILY fly you are subject to their safety procedures. Do they make mistakes no doubt. Are their child molesters in the tsa? Ofcourse as i would assume there are those people in all lines of work. The majority of tsa people are hard working good people stuck with a hard and boring job. How do you search a child without that child freaking out? I have no idea and even though mistakes were made that is a small minority. After 9/11 security had to tighten and i hate waiting in line but would rather have long lines and safe flights then short lines and not as safe flights.

People VOLUNTARILY walk out of their homes and go into public. Some of these people are criminals, murderers, rapists, burglers, etc...

Should we be subject to safety procedures every-time we leave our home?

Anyways, nobody is saying here we shouldnt have airline safety, but for some of us we think its already gone way too far....and it hasnt stopped at the airports. Now its going to be train stations, subways, random checkpoints across the countries, shopping malls..etc..it doesnt stop.

Keep in mind in Isreal, a country surrounded by people that hate them dont sexually molest and grope their airplane passangers and they have no hijackings or bombed airplanes.

Its as if the saying goes, "They attacked us for our freedom, so now you need less freedom and we will take it away from you" which means the terrorists won their game.

Did you read that story? They questioned this guy and gave him the run around for wearing a diaper. He has the brain of a two year. Needless to say he was scared and didn't know what was going on. Checking his diaper for a bomb after he had gone through the metal detectors is a little too far. If you look at this guy there is obviously something wrong with him. Extremely disrespectful. They take things too far and we NEED to review and revise our security procedures.

Elderly woman asked to remove adult diaper during TSA search

Quote:
A woman has filed a complaint with federal authorities over how her elderly mother was treated at Northwest Florida Regional Airport last weekend.

Jean Weber of Destin filed a complaint with the Department of Homeland Security after her 95-year-old mother was detained and extensively searched last Saturday while trying to board a plane to fly to Michigan to be with family members during the final stages of her battle with leukemia.

Her mother, who was in a wheelchair, was asked to remove an adult diaper in order to complete a pat-down search.

“It’s something I couldn’t imagine happening on American soil,” Weber said Friday. “Here is my mother, 95 years old, 105 pounds, barely able to stand, and then this.”

Mom Arrested After Refusing TSA Molestation of Daughter

Kurt Nimmo
July 13, 2011

Andrea Fornella Abbott of Clarksville, Tennessee, was arrested by Nashville airport authorities after she refused to let the TSA fondle her daughter.

Abbott said she did not want her daughter to be “touched inappropriately” or have her “crotch grabbed,” according to a police report.
Her outrage at the “security procedure” landed her in jail. She was charged with disorderly conduct and released on bond, according to The Tennessean.
“(She) told me in a very stern voice with quite a bit of attitude that they were not going through that X-ray,” Sabrina Birge, an airport security officer, told police.
Abbott was told by the woman that naked body porno scanners are “10,000 times safer than your cell phone and uses the same type of radio waves as a sonogram.”
Earlier this month, it was revealed that the TSA, under the guidance of the Department of Homeland Security Secretary, deliberately misled the public on the health risks associated with the naked body scanners.
The Electronic Privacy Information Center published documents released under a Freedom of Information Act request that show the TSA has been caught covering up a growing number of cases of cancer among TSA airport body scanner operators who conduct the screenings in close proximity to the radiation-emitting devices.
Despite the baseless assurance that the device is safe, Abbott told Birge she did not want her daughter’s naked body revealed by the scanner.
She attempted to take cell phone video of the incident but was prevented from doing so.
In April, the TSA defended its serial molestation procedures after a video surfaced showing agents fondling a six year old girl at the New Orleans airport.
The TSA has admitted that fondling children is government policy.
“Some folks are asking if the proper procedures were followed. Yes. TSA has reviewed the incident and the security officer in the video followed the current standard operating procedures,” a TSA spokesman explained on the agency’s official blog.

Its not crap, its just the way it is. TSA wanted to molest her daughter and she was arrested for refusing. Its just the facts.

The picture is a portrayal of the way TSA does business. Its the way it is, there is no bias there.

Its their pat down procedures, its molestation. She is doing what many mothers would do and not let a stranger other than her doctor touch her in a submissive demeaningful way.

I can give you many examples on how TSA are violating the rights of citizens and children starting with this

TSA scares and violates child's personal space

and this

supporting evidence for what?
That the mainstream doesnt have a corporate/government agenda in regards to informing the American people and feeding them with propaganda.

This has been going on for years, I can give thousands of examples.

This is going off topic, but one recent one that stands out on how the media has a agenda is how Donald Trump consipred with NBC to bring the Birther issue to the table to squash it. Where was all the investigative reporting then? Donald said he would have experts look at the document, but he totally turned his back on the issue.

Here...Obama's Birth Certificate downloaded directly from the Whitehouse website and easily splitted with a photoshop program. Where the hell is the investigative journalism? Its gone!

Or what about how the BBC and CNN reported WTC 7 collapsing 15 minutes before it ever even collapsed?

So, do I claim mainstream media has an agenda? Absolutely I do.

TSA Grope Woman Concerned About Cancer From Body Scanners

Click BOLDED - they are links and references.

Laws on sexual molestation not applied to TSA employees
Paul Joseph Watson
Tuesday, July 19, 2011

The woman who became the focus of a fresh TSA controversy after she groped an airport screener and was subsequently arrested for “sex abuse,” was concerned about getting cancer from repeatedly having to pass through radiation-firing naked body scanners.

http://www.myfoxphoenix.com/dpp/news/local/phoenix/tsa:-woman-feared-getting-cancer-with-body-scanner-07182011

61-year-old Yukari Miyamae was arrested last week after she started arguing with TSA agent Barbara O’Toole at Terminal 4 in Phoenix’s Sky Harbor Airport.
When O’Toole told Miyamae she would have to undergo a full pat down if she refused to go through the body scanner, Miyamae responded, “Oh, like this,” and grabbed O’Toole’s breast.
Miyamae will not face felony charges but could still face a misdemeanor charge.
“TSA officials also say this all happened because the woman didn’t want to go through a body scanner for fear of getting cancer,” reports MyFox Phoenix, adding that Miyamae was a frequent flyer who traveled once a a week.
Despite the fact that Miyamae was arrested and jailed on accusations of “sex abuse,” TSA agents continue to remain free to commit identical abuses upon the American people, including children, the elderly and the disabled.
There shouldn’t even be a debate as to whether or not TSA workers can stick their hands down your pants or fondle a woman’s breasts. Not even a police officer or an FBI agent can legally lay a hand on you unless it’s in the course of an arrest.
As Steve Wagstaffe, the District Attorney in San Mateo County, told Alex Jones last year, merely touching someone against their will is a felony in California, just as it is across the country.
“If it is skin to skin, if someone were to take their hand and put it underneath somebody’s blouse and touch someone inappropriately and go skin to skin, that’s a felony, and if it’s done simply over the clothing, according to California law, that’s a misdemeanor,” said Wagstaffe.

Miyamae’s concerns about body scanners causing cancer are well founded.
Numerous highly respected universities and health bodies, including Johns Hopkins, Columbia University, the University of California, and the Inter-Agency Committee on Radiation Safety, have all warned that the health threat posed by the scanners has not been properly studied and could lead to increased cancer rates.
Despite the TSA lying in claiming that Johns Hopkins had verified the safety of the scanners, Dr Michael Love, who runs an X-ray lab at the department of biophysics and biophysical chemistry at the Johns Hopkins school of medicine, has publicly warned that “statistically someone is going to get skin cancer from these X-rays”.
A study conducted last year by Dr David Brenner, head of Columbia University’s center for radiological research, also found that the body scanners are likely to lead to an increase in a common type of skin cancer called basal cell carcinoma, which affects the head and neck.
As we reported last month, leaked documents published by the Electronic Privacy Information Center revealed how TSA workers became concerned over a “cancer cluster” amongst screening agents at Boston Logan International Airport, and how the federal agency tried to cover-up the complaints.
As a result of her stance against the TSA, Mihamae has become something of a folk hero. A Facebook page entitled “Acquit Yukari Miyamae” already has over 2,000 followers.

Woman Sobs at “Humiliating” TSA Pat Down

Distressed woman filmed receiving full body grope down, cameraman told “do not talk to her”

Steve Watson
July 26, 2011
TSA Grope Down

A new video of a distressed woman receiving a full body pat-down after going through an AIT body scanner reminds Americans that they are the real targets of the TSA and the Department of Homeland Security’s crackdown at airports and other public places across the country.

The woman was filmed at Chicago O’Hare International Airport by a bystander who was initially concerned by the fact that the TSO attending to her was pregnant and in close proximity to the radiation emitting body scanners.

“While waiting for my now chronically delayed flight from ORD, I noticed a pregnant TSO working around the AIT.” the man explains on the flyertalk forum. (http://www.flyertalk.com/forum/travel-safety-security/1238763-ord-woman-groped-pregnant-tso-working-around-radiation.html)

“The TSO was performing pat-downs, but was constantly moving near the machines. I found it concerning that (1) a pregnant woman would willingly expose herself to a radiation-laden work environment with no protection and (2) that her employers would allow her to do so. At the very least, couldn’t they assign her duties that don’t have her working right next to the machines.”

The bystander then noticed that the woman the TSO was patting down was visibly upset and attempted to reassure her by saying he was filming the incident and would happily provide a copy of the video.

Another agent then marched up to the man and demanded that he stop communicating with the woman receiving the grope down.

Apparently the TSA now believes it has the authority to prevent people in public places from talking to each other. It is surprising that the agent did not attempt to prevent the man from filming the incident as has so often been the case in other similar scenarios.

After the woman was finally able to collect her personal belongings and move through the security line, she exchanged details with the bystander, sobbing, “That was absolutely humiliating, why did they have to do that?”

Watch the video:

Woman Molested at ORD T1 by TSA

quote from man who filmed:
I had been filming the pregnant TSO working around the x-ray devices in the checkpoint. I started recording this clip when I noticed a disturbance at an adjacent lane. This lady had already been groped and objected to the procedure before I started filming.

TSA Agent Poses As Cop To Harass Woman

Incident highlights concerns about federal agency becoming domestic security force

Paul Joseph Watson
Wednesday, July 27, 2011
TSA

A TSA agent in Connecticut was charged with harassment after he posed as a cop by flashing his badge at a woman in an attempt to intimidate her into driving faster, an incident that highlights concerns about the TSA becoming a domestic security force.

The woman called police after off-duty TSA worker Donald Eichler, 63, began aggressively tailing her vehicle before flashing his TSA badge at her at around 9:30am yesterday in South Windsor.

“He told police he was upset that the woman was driving slightly below the speed limit on Sullivan Avenue, honked his horn a few times and showed her his TSA badge to try to get her to speed up, according to a release from police,” reports NBC Conneticut http://www.nbcconnecticut.com/news/local/TSA-Agent-Flashed-Badge-at-Slow-Driver-Cops-126249273.html

The woman said she felt scared and intimidated by Eichler’s behavior, who was subsequently arrested and charged with driving a vehicle to harass or intimidate. His case is set to be heard on August 8 at Manchester Superior Court.

Considered in isolation, the incident appears to be little more than a petty power trip, but when you factor in the documented (http://www.prisonplanet.com/epidemic-of-tsa-criminality-more-agents-caught-stealing-cash-from-luggage-another-arrested-for-assault.html) epidemic of harassment, criminality and abuse that TSA agents have been caught engaging in both on the job and off-duty, it’s not surprising that the rollout of an army of TSA agents to provide “security” at every level of American society, from train stations (http://www.prisonplanet.com/tsa-lies-to-justify-illegal-train-station-grope-down.html) to bus terminals (http://www.tgdaily.com/opinion-features/52843-tsa-is-now-at-bus-stations-body-scanners-coming-too), from highways (http://www.prisonplanet.com/feds-radiating-americans-at-internal-checkpoints.html) to high school proms (http://www.infowars.com/tsa-backs-down-from-prom-night-grope/) , is stoking concerns that the federal agency is set to become the de facto “civilian national security force” (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=gwaAVJITx1Y) that Barack Obama promised in his pre-election speech.

As we have documented, TSA grope downs and body scans are now being rolled out ubiquitously as part of the VIPR (Visible Intermodal Prevention and Response) takeover of the country.

The TSA has also announced its intention to expand the VIPR program to include roadside inspections of commercial vehicles, setting up a network of internal checkpoints and rolling out security procedures already active in airports, bus terminals and subway stations to roads and highways across the United States.

These internal checkpoints, run by Homeland Security, the Department of Transportation, and the TSA, involve trucks being scanned with backscatter x-ray devices in the name of “safety” and “counter terrorism”. http://www.prisonplanet.com/feds-radiating-americans-at-internal-checkpoints.html

Last month, the agency conducted a “security exercise” that covered 5,000 miles and three states, illustrating how the TSA is establishing a broad mandate setting itself up as a domestic security force. http://www.prisonplanet.com/tsa-security-exercise-covers-3-states-5000-miles.html

The fact that TSA agents like Donald Eichler think they are part of a federal law enforcement arm that can intimidate Americans into obedience even when they’re off-duty, like some kind of Gestapo storm trooper, is a damning indictment of the training that the federal agency is giving its employees, and a shocking warning of what kind of individuals are being hired by the TSA to staff their federal security takeover of America.

Lockheed Martin Wins $72 Million Contract To Install Body Scanners

TSA to continue using radiation-firing devices despite availability of safe alternative

Paul Joseph Watson
Friday, July 29, 2011

Even as the US economy teeters on the brink of default, the federal government has handed a $72 million dollar contract to defense contractor Lockheed Martin to install radiation-firing body scanners at 300 more airports across the east and central United States, despite the availability of devices that do not rely on radiation to function.
“Lockheed Martin (NYSE: LMT) has been awarded two regional task orders totalling $72 million to help TSA integrate and deploy new passenger screening and security equipment at airports across the east and central United States,” states the press release.

The defense contractor is virtually tied at the hip with the U.S. government, receiving tens of billions of dollars in contracts every year, and has a substantial lobbying budget which is used to support Congress members and Senators who “advocate national defense and relevant business issues.”

Despite the TSA’s recent announcement that it plans to install a “privacy friendly” software update that will dispense with images that show intricate details of a person’s naked body, the devices will continue to use radiation in order to function.
This is a completely unnecessary health risk given the fact that Sony Corporation is already using scanners that don’t rely on any form of energy being fired into the body to work, instead using “passive energy” to produce an image that also shows a generic outline of a person’s body.

In addition, Australian airports have begun trialing body scanning technology that neither emits any form of radiation, nor produces a naked image of the person passing through it.

The $72 million Lockheed Martin contract only mentions software upgrades to existing Advanced Imaging Technology (AIT) devices, the company will not be developing body scanners that protect travelers from health threats that have been identified by numerous prestigious scientific bodies.

As we reported earlier this month, leaked documents published by the Electronic Privacy Information Center revealed how TSA workers became concerned over a “cancer cluster” amongst screening agents at Boston Logan International Airport, and how the federal agency tried to cover-up the complaints.

New TSA 'theft' leaves teen's bag $100 lighter

By PHILIP MESSING

They're stealing again -- this time, from a kid!
An allegedly sticky-fingered screener for the Transportation Security Administration is being investigated after $100 went missing from a 16-year-old honor student's gym bag before he boarded a July 21 flight at JFK Airport, The Post has learned.
Rodeen Dunn, the mother of the Brooklyn student, Chris Dunn, called the alleged theft of his cash -- a gift from his grandma -- "disgusting and a violation of my son's trust."
The incident occurred shortly after 5:15 a.m., after Chris went through screening to board a JetBlue flight to Los Angeles.

A Port Authority police source said surveillance video shows a female TSA screener spending six minutes with Chris' bag. At one point, the worker can be seen tossing away a piece of paper, the source said.
The worker hasn't been arrested or suspended.

Airport Body Scanner Farce Continues As Perspirating Passangers Set Off Alarm

Att: Bolded and Underlined for links and sources

Sweaty armpits confuse radiation firing machines
Steve Watson

Aug 3, 2011

Radiation firing body scanners have been yet again proven ineffective and unpractical after alarms were set off repeatedly at an Australian airport by passengers with sweaty armpits.
As Australian Transport Minister Anthony Albanese described the scanners as the “most advanced passenger screening technology available in the world”, one of the machines set off an alarm unnecessarily three times on the second person to walk through it during a $6 million trial at Sydney airport.
“Security staff blamed the passenger’s armpits for upsetting the machine.” reports The Australian Daily Telegraph.

Although the report above makes a big deal out of the fact that naked images are not produced by the machines, it has previously been revealed that the machines do indeed still produce such images, which are merely masked from public view by “stick figure” software.

In response to questions over privacy and potential safety issues, the transport minister replied “..unfortunately we live in an unsafe world, and in those circumstances this government will ensure that people’s security is looked after.”
Albanese further noted “If it comes down to a body search or a pat-down, that will be able to be conducted with privacy.”
A final decision on a mandatory Australian airport roll-out will be made after a similar trial next month in Melbourne.
Last week we reported the fact that Australia is also testing non irradiating body scanners that do not emit any form of energy.

However, it is unclear why trials of these scanners have not hit headlines unlike the more crude backscatter devices.

As we reported earlier this week, German police described radiation-firing full body scanners as “useless”, following a 10-month trial, during which time alarm was unnecessarily raised far too frequently.

According to a German federal police report, 35 percent of the 730,000 passengers checked by the scanners set off the alarm more than once despite being innocent.
The report noted that an alarm was set off without reason in roughly seven out of every ten cases, adding that the scanners struggled to cope with layers of clothing, boots and zip fasteners, and even the posture of passengers passing through.
The report concluded that the machines are too sensitive to movement and operate too slowly to be of any practical use.
Other security experts have also previously dismissed the devices as “useless” security theater.

Despite these findings, the Department of Homeland Security in the US plans to roll out hundreds more of the machines into airports across the country, claiming that the machine have passed rigorous safety and efficiency tests, in statements we have repeatedly highlighted as highly questionable at best.

Our Probability of Being Chosen in a Nation of Suspects

The New Orwellian Airport Behavioral Inspections-Detections

TSA screeners are about to implementOrwellian behavioral inspections at airport security checkpoints. Who are these TSA screeners? These are the same low-level, incompetent, scandalous, molesting, abusive, and in some cases criminalpeople who have been creating one scandal after another. So what will these scandalous, incompetent and criminal police be doing to detect suspicious behavior? Most likely you have guessed it right. They will be watching you and maybe questioning you to determine whether you are suspicious, a suspect, or not. How are they going to do that, and based on what guidelines? According to their vague description, they will be looking for your “micro expressions,” such as lack of eye contact, acting agitated or nervous, that might “hint” at nefarious intent. How much hint is needed to be pulled over as a suspect? They don’t say. How agitated is considered suspiciously agitated? They don’t say that either. How much eye-aversion would count as a suspicious level of eye-aversion? They say nothing on that. How do the odds of being chosen by them increase by their own mood, biases, and various psychoses? Well, they don’t mention that either. Basically, a bunch of already-proven incompetent, abusive, biased, and criminal people who have been high on their government-given limitless powers will be freely using their subjective judgment on whether you look or act suspicious, or not. Now I want you to think about agitation, eye-aversion, nervousness, being stressed out, being shy …Think about it, and then calculate the odds of you being determined a suspect, thus one of their chosen ones:
If you are one of those Starbuck’s addicts used to running on several shots of espresso, then place a good size bet on being one of the many TSA chosen ones. You know you are going to be jittery, and TSA will probably read your jitteriness as an ultimate indicator of your suspiciousness. You’ll be chosen.
If you are one of many ladies out there (like myself) with temperament-changing and mood-swinging monthly menstruation cycles, quickly check out the calendar and make sure your next flight does not coincide with that time of the month.
If you are one of those parents travelling with children, some of them in their terrible twos-threes or fours, see if you can ship the kids via cargo. We all know how frustrating and agitating it can be to travel and handle kids that age-especially when we go through shoe-removing, belt-removing, patting and groping checkpoints. Your frustrated and agitated state will probably land you in the circle of TSA’s chosen ones.
If you are one of the racial minorities …well, need I say more? Think of those abusive bigot cops incidents, multiply that several times, and there: those are the odds of you being selected as one who looks suspicious, thus a suspect, and therefore a chosen one.
If you happen to be shy, then you are totally out of luck. You know you most definitely will avert your eyes…at least once or twice while being watched-interpreted-detected. Do yourself a favor and cancel all your air travel. You ain’t gonna make it; you’ll definitely be a chosen one.

Actually, when it comes right down to it, if you are an ‘American,’ you may as well put all your bets on being TSA’s chosen one; at one point or another. Because the American Government has designated you, every single one of you as a ‘suspect.’ When it comes to your communications-phone, e-mail, etc. every single one of you is a suspect, according to your government, thus, under phone wiretaps and other communication related surveillance. Think about it, even the ‘ordinary’ airport security procedures you are forced to undergo are meant to screen you, check you out, as a suspect. Whether you engage in some sort of a suspicious behavior or not is actually a moot quandary. We, my friend, all of us, were designated as suspects nearly a decade ago. We may as well return that ticket, forget that darn flight, and drive while we can. Before the suspicious behavior detection police take over the roads and make that humiliating or impossible too.

TSA Illegally Confiscates Pregnant Woman’s Insulin As “Explosives Risk”

DENVER -- A Denver couple has filed a formal complaint with the Transportation Security Administration after a pregnant woman's insulin and ice packs were confiscated by screeners at Denver International Airport.

The couple has traveled around the world with her medical supplies, including insulin and syringes, and have never encountered any troubles before, they said.

"It made me feel upset and made me feel somewhat helpless," said Aaron Nieman.

I've written my congressmen about the TSA, as well as other recent issues. If you want this to change, I recommend you do so as well.
I applaud your effort and i have done the same. I refuse to fly after my experience of TSA.

However, I'm afraid that screaming and rioting in the streets will be the only thing to change TSA policy. IF that.

It does appear to be that way, but I cant live with myself at an old age when everything changes and I know in the back of my head that I didnt try.

But it does appear thats the way it is, but that wont happen if you saw some of the new riot control technology in my other thread I know I wont be doing that.
