h-drol on low carb diet (30g-40gr max a day (not including fiber))

date started January 16th (first post here on the 22nd). i decided to log this finally as it may help me psychologically to train hard so i can come back here with good news.

only ph experience, trifecta stack back in jan09. i consider myself to have virgin receptors

i have no idea, but the first 2 weeks im sticking to 50, im going make decisions as i go along, if im going great no need to up the dosage right?

meals:
i have increased my calories a little bit, mainly through the use of almonds and an extra protein shake here or there.
typical meals 1 whole egg, 5 more egg whites from jumbo eggs, with around 30 soy beans, small amount of butter for flavor and 2 splendas.
around 50-60 almonds throughout the day. some of my egg meals may be replaced with some red meat, chicken, but im going to keep it about 35gr protein per meal.
i eat brussle sprouts, broccoli, and some other veggies on a daily basis.
i drink coffee, light but all day long. i like the flavor so i make it light not to OD on caffeine, but will def get more calories from the half and half.

issues:
i sprained my left knee last week pushing the sled awkwardly to do calf raises. i managed to work out light 2 days ago for my first post injury training with great success. it was light but higher and strict reps. my legs are still sore 2 days later and injury still feels same, so im happy i can still workout. ill have to be careful, but not lifting heavy legs is a setback.

ok, so i thought i was getting pudgier around my stomach, but im down .25 inch. goes to show that you cant take weight serious. up and inch around my chest but slightly down on my arm, could just be fat loss.

so far i dont even feel halo, i had off yesterday and i go in and do chest today. this will be my second chest workout on halo so we will see.

so im a consistent solid 168 now, with the measurments i took in my previous post it shows that im gaining muscle already.

had a VERY good workout today. this is a definite improvement over last weeks chest workout, and i pushed 90lb dumbells incline bench for a set of 4, which i havent done that in a long time with dumbells inclines. funny how i can do 80lb dumbs for a set of 4-6 military press, yet i havent done 90lbs in incline bench in ages. my chest is my weakest of my upper body i believe, although its shaped better than guys lifting heavier than me.

i feel Palo Alto Labs ATP tabs stacked with 200mg caffeine is doing wonders for my workouts as well, especially towards the end of my workouts.

total weight gain is 7.5 pounds in 14 days, and i dont even think the h-drol kicked in full force yet! 4 more weeks to go

keep in mind, im on a strict low carb diet as my title states, NO carb loading. i simply increased the amount im eating, clean through almonds, alot of veggies and extra protein from my regular non-cycle diet. maybe 500+ extra calories a day just to guess. im not sure if there are any strict low carb diet logs on h-drol, but we have a winner here.

my arms havent been this big since before my 46 pound weight loss back when i was 211. it may not be shocking to you guys, but this is too good to be true for me. i used to get sick all natural gains in my late teens and early 20's, and this is freaking amazing!

i have a mild cold, explains why i had kinda of a weaker training saturday. later that day i had a sore throat and today i felt a bit more under the weather. also my breath stinks, which is another sign of mild illness.

managed to have a ok workout today, at least its not a sever cold, but minor weakness and sore throat sympoms. did not strip down at gym today, prefer to stay warmer to protect myself.

i heard colds can happen on cycle often.

ill be upping my vitamin c, and ill go to health food store and get zinc/elderberry lozenges.

Day 18 Kim Jong Il is still sick on cycle!!!
Felt worse today from my cold, but still able to get to gym and workout. My first 45 minutes were sluggish, but the juice must have kicked in the final 45 as i finished pretty strong. Couple of hours after workout I feel pretty drained and warm, but am able to do my daily functions. So the good news is that as of now Im not very ill, but this is a definite setback.

Throat is sore, body is weak and warm, but not debilitating. Dressing warm at the gym.

Here is the "Kim Jong Il gets sick on cycle immune stack:"

1. Vitamin C, 5 grams a day split

day 19
woke up today, sore throat was worse but got slightly better later on. suffered even more at gym today, managed a light workout but can only do my sumo deadlifts at 95lbs as my body is aching and weak from this illness. couldnt pick it up today like i did yesterday, and felt more tired the rest of the day so far.

definite cause of illness i would say throat infection, which must be shutting the rest of my body down, but im still able to function ok, im not bed sick.

tomorrow is my natural day off, ill rest as much as i can. really sucks i cant go all out like i was the first 2 weeks.

if by the end of week 4 im still sick (or if i get much sicker before that) i will cut the h-drol cycle and go to pct.

Good progress even while getting sick. Drink ALOT of fluids. Hope you get better so you can finish the full 6 weeks. i'm planning on using H-drol during a cut, not a low carb cut though. Don't forget to gargle with warm salt water too.

im actually calling this a "low carb bulk" gaining weight simply by increasing calories, and not carbs. working so far, and ive made natural gains in the past on a low carb diet.

just trying to not get any fat gain in any way, ive lost 46 pounds in just under 2 years and never want to go though that process again. as for now im trying to just get the muscle back i lost during my 2 year straight cut.

i never do take carbs post-workout, i take 2 scoops of gaspari myofusion and eat a low carb meal about 60-75minutes post workout. yes, i thought it would be interesting to run a log for you guys on a low carb diet. im happy you are all enjoying it.

my morning is a little better today than yesterday, i think my immune ****tail is working. its supposed to be real hard to get over a cold on cycle.

today is my natural day off, which is a very good thing for me.

i dont know my body fat content, but tape measurements are better than nothing.

ive lost 46 pounds in less than 2 years while on a low carb diet, not too much muscle loss but it was worth the sacrifice. a combo of low carb dieting, cardio and lifting did it. my waist was around 37.5 inches at the time. i totally changed. the reason i lost muscles was that i was doing cardio, and i also had my cals pretty low. i dont regret it as i feel great, now im hoping to re-gain the muscles on the h-drol cycle, that would be hot. hope i can fight through the cold.

ive been low carb dieting for years, but what happened was that i overate and pigged out on ALOT of food. i dont know where my head was at, but i started reading up on forums on here and over at DA, and made appropriate adjustments and also focused on my training alot more. what im trying to say is low carb diet doesnt mean you can eat as much as you want, and doesnt mean you can eat low quality foods.

i dont want to stack american cold medicine while on cycle, its not a good idea and your taking this out of context.

i like to use american cold medicine usually when i have to, but "on cycle" can make the cycle risky, and im trying to stay on cycle through this cold.

got it bro?

i am in fact stacking my chinese medicine with american natural remedies. you mis-understood this as some anti-american statement, when i was really just trying to look out for my health on cycle.

anyways just got back from gym, had better workout, getting healthier, ran out of gas about 60 minutes so was unable to hit the abs hard, but should get healthier with time, and there is 2-3 weeks left in cycle.

i would say im totally over the cold now, which is a miracle.

i would think my body is still recovering, i had a lethargic workout today, and my body is VERY sore from doing chest yesterday. did arms today, a struggle but i got a decent pump at least.

whats strange, i mean really strange is that i havent even gained any noticable strength yet. gaining mass without strength makes me feel like im doing something un-natural....uhhh.....nevermind.

mayby it will kick in the last 1-2 weeks of cycle (weeks 5 to 6 should i go out to 6)

whats strange, i mean really strange is that i havent even gained any noticable strength yet. gaining mass without strength makes me feel like im doing something un-natural....uhhh.....nevermind.

Not the first time I've heard that. My friend and I both ran AppNuts The One. He Gain some awesome size, really did. I gained some size, cut 4%bf but got a TON stronger. The difference he followed more 8-12 rep scheme and I stuck with a 5x5 rep/set scheme. It was a great example of you get what you train for.

I havent looked back so sorry if it was mentioned already, whats your rep/set scheme look like?
Just sometimes something so simple in training, considered basic concepts get over looked, but its easier to see when you add something hormonal cause the results are much more defined than with out one.
Dont think i'm saying your doing anything wrong, just something we over look the basics. If my assumption is right tho, I would say if your worried about gaining some strength, go big and heavy for your compounds and then add on the reps for your iso moves

i like full spectrum training, i do from light high reps and work my way to as heavy as i can. my main focus is to go as heavy as i can, but at my age of 32 starting light and working my way up proves to be the safest for me. i dont go to failure at the first 2 sets, they are really to prepare me for the heaviest sets.

this below is a standard, but everyday things can change.

depending on how my body feels ill switch to more dumbell work, but here is a example training set

nothing is totally set in stone, the better i feel the day i go to the gym, the more i focus on power training, but below is a typical work week for me.

no training exceeds 90 minutes

all 3-5 minutes rest,
Monday Chest
5 sets each 3-12 reps
Flat bench
Incline bench
Decline bench
Flys

Tuesday
Bi's 5 sets each 5-10 reps
barbell curls (or preacher curls)
hammer curls
incline dumbell curls
reverse curls

tri's 5 sets each 5-12 reps each
Close grips
press downs
reverse grip press downs
scull crushers

wednsday
i have knee injury, but next workout im hoping to do this
sled superset with calfs on sled
(build up on sled slowly 10 sets)
rest excersises 5 sets each
sumo deadlifts (helps with my bad knees and lower back)
stiff legged deads superset with seated calfs
superset extensions and leg curls

thursday off

friday back
5 sets each 3-10 reps
close grip pulls with dumbells
dumbells pullovers
front lat pulldowns
close grip row style pulls (forgot name of this excersice, lol)
opposite wide grip bench presses (to make up for lack of t-bar, ill also put a 45lb plate on my chest and pull myself up)

saturday shoulders and neck
5 sets each 3-10 reps
dumbell military presses
barbell shrugs
side laterals
rear deltoid laterals
neck with chain harness, then neck by placing plate on forehead

sunday off

after careful consideration, i decided to add a stim to the final 2 weeks of my cycle and into my pct. ill be taking usp labs OEP which has caff, geranium and some other goodies. i was to lose a little more fat so this should help. i feel no real sides on h-drol, and most people dont seem to get bp problems. im taking HB so i should be fine.

just purchased h-drol... right now im 25, 5'10" weighing in at 150lbs... i gained 10lbs this past month, all upper body. main goal is to get at 180lbs of lean muscle built by the time summer comes around. the most i ever weighed in at was 6 years ago at 170lbs. taking h-drol to keep the lean look without the bloated stomach and risk hiding my abs. I need suggestions to my supplement stack. I supplemented my protein shake with weight gainer because i'm an ectomorph.
Any advice could help.

no thread jacking here. i am asking "YOU" for advice because of your current experience with this product. you've been updating your progress yet you havent posted any pros and cons. because of your daily updates i felt that you were knowledgeable enough to know if this product would work well with my stack. im not trying to steal your spotlight. simply asking a simple question.

if you noticed from my previous post I lost about 30lbs of muscle over 6 years and i'm trying to gain it back lean. In your first post you stated,"goals: recomp, after losing 46 pounds in 2 years i would like to get some of my muscles back but keep getting leaner."

i believe i stayed in very close relation to your thread and it makes perfect sense why i came and asked for your suggestion.

just ordered another bottle of hypertest, this will be my new official and improved pct when i get there in 2 weeks.

reason for improvement is to have the best recovery possible to maintain my new gains.

inhibit e 2,2,1,1

hypertest 3caps 2x a day, 1 dose pre-workout late morning, the other pre-bed. this will be for 40 days surpassing my inhibit-e run by 10 days
