What is better for glute injections?

To hit the medius or maximus? I looked on spotinjections.com and it seems like they are injecting real low. I also seen some posts that say to inject into the medius for less pain?? I always just go w/the rule Upper and outer. On that image it would be the in the part of the glute w/the red shaded over it.

yup, split the cheek into 4 equal section and shoot the upper outside one
