Vietnam to host Asian Bodybuilding Champs 2006

Over ninety athletes from fifteen Asian countries will take part in the Asian Bodybuilding Championship 2006 which will be held from August 30 to September 4 in the southern Vietnam city of Bien Hoa.
The tournament will hold competition in five events including junior men’s bodybuilding, master men’s bodybuilding, women’s bodybuilding, miss fitness and miss body fitness.

There will be 18 different categories in the five events. In junior men’s bodybuilding, participants will compete in six weight divisions from 55kg to over 75kg. Women’s bodybuilding also has six categories from 46kg to over 58kg.

Master men’s bodybuilding event is divided into only two age groups – from 45 to 49 years and from 50 years.

For miss fitness and miss body fitness events, contestants are separated in height, each with two divisions – up to 1.6 meters and over 1.6 meters.

Competition will take place at Dong Nai Gymnasium with seating capacity of 2,000 people. It is just 30km or 45 minute drive from Ho Chi Minh City.

Pretty cool! Looking at the pic in that link, they're more averaged sized dudes and not mass-o-rama freaks. Not that there's anything wrong with mass-o-rama freaks, although that's probably not attainable on a typical asian guy's frame.
