According to the Montgomery County Sheriff's Office, Alexandria Vera, 24, turned herself in to officials in Conroe Wednesday morning, June 1, 2016. She is accused in Harris County of the continuous sexual abuse of a child, a former student of hers at an Aldine Independent School District middle school.
Alexandria Vera, the Aldine school district middle school teacher accused of having a long-term sexual relationship with an underage student, has turned herself into law enforcement, according to officials.
Vera, 24, had been wanted by officials since May 27 on a charge of continuous sexual abuse of a child.
According to the Montgomery County Sheriff's Office she turned herself in Wednesday morning in Conroe and was undergoing booking. She was accompanied by a bonding agent.
The complaint against Vera is filed in Harris County's 209th State District Court. Documents in the case centering on the relationship between Vera and a 14-year-old boy allege that the two met when he was a student of hers in summer school last year at Stovall Middle School.
The pair's relationship apparently had the blessing of the boy's family, according to court documents.
