Can anybody out there who has come of TRT/long cruise recommend any natural supplements?
I just had a heart attack and need to get off test for a while. Endo has me going cold turkey with no other treatment.
Are there any supplements worth trying that might soften the blow?

I'm so sorry to hear that brother!
Did the Dr connect it in any way to your TRT?

Not directly, but they want me to eliminate anything that has the potential to raise my RBC now as my heart is damaged.

I am really sorry to hear you had a heart attack and wish you all the best in recovery. My choices are below:

Apex alchemy: Hyperion and Arimahex

SNS: Optimize T

CEL: M-Test

Not sure if they have any bearing on your health condition though, so perhaps ask a doctor on that. That said, all of those have worked great for me in PCT

Natty test boosters, but I would focus on your health issues with your doctor first. I don't know enough, but a heart attack seems pretty serious and scary to me.

Good luck with a speedy recovery.

Thanks for the reply!
I’ll look into these. Looking for things that don’t have the potential to raise blood pressure.

Man really sorry to hear about that. Wishing you the best and for a great recovery. Figured I would mention Alpha Gel in here, also SNS has cardiovascular XT that might be worth looking into?

I'm sorry to hear about the heart attack.

Normally, in non medical circumstances, I could give some tips for supplements to help you come off of TRT but in your case after just having a heart attack, a lot of doctors don't want people to even take any supplements because they're trying to control variables.

That as actually the combination I was thinking of for him when I first read the thread myself.

Not supplements, but in your specific case there may be a chance your doctor would be more familiar and comfortable with some HCG or clomid. These would at least be compounds he/she has heard of and could consult with a colleague if they are unsure. Hope fully they will allow you to go back on as hypogonadal is also not heart healthy.

I look forward to your recovery and future health.

you hit the nail on the head. As long as his TRT doesn’t have his RBC and hematocrit high, then I don’t understand why there would be a reason to take someone off TRT. Low T= bad heart health like stated above. I’d consult with another doctor if I was in that situation. Just my .02

Thanks for your concern mate.

Can’t take test at all for a while because it increases the likelihood of malignant arythmia. I don’t have any hint of CHD, the problem appears to be cardiomyopathy unfortunately. No one will prescribe test to someone in this condition, and even taking a SERM right now is dangerous.

Might be able to do TRT in 6 months if my heart heals but I’ll definitely be doing it through an endo this time.

it’s going to be a rough descent!

I hope everything goes well for you or at least as good as it can under the circumstances.

I have an endocrinology condition where my hormone levels don't trail one another the way that most peoples do. I've had all sorts of tests done and been to multiple specialists and done everything up through a pituitary MRI.

I have tried a lot of things to help with my natural test levels and the best things I've ever used personally are M-Test and Optimize-T. With M-Test, the increase in test levels and especially free testosterone was very significant, enough that my doctor told me to not come off of it as long as my free test levels stayed elevated, because in my case, they were never able to get them up like that even with medication. So when I tried Optimize-T, in my case, I was adding it onto M-Test - just wanted to explain that for clarity purposes. Optimize-T does help a lot with libido and I feel better during the day on it.

Alpha Gel was mentioned above and I've been wanting to try that myself. I'm going to probably start that on Sunday. It's interesting because it has a natural test boosting and anti-estrogen aspect to it and a lot of people report increased energy levels and motivation with it, and I could definitely use both of those benefits.

I can't really recommend anything for you bc as someone with a medical condition myself, I respect the intricacies of these types of situations. But just wanted to share what has worked for me personally in case you can get any ideas for benefits for you from it.

Thanks man. Personal experiences are exactly what I’m after. You never know who is going through something similar and found a path already.

Sorry to hear about this Benny. Praying for your healing & recovery - you have a beautiful family and I know they want you around!

If a SERM, HCG, and very low test doses are out, I don’t see what other test-raising ingredients could be acceptable. Sounds like they want you very low test honestly. Some ingredients to help manage estrogen to help prevent gyno while in a hypogonadal state may be in order.

Right, but the point I was making is that they don’t sound like they want him raising his testosterone, or possibly taking anything.
This is what I’m thinking. If they’re worried about injecting test, maybe avoid extra test all together? Also, personally, I’d be careful taking literally anything in case it has potential for interacting with any meds he may need.

To me, it sounds like time to focus on heart health and clear everything with the doctors first.

^This. Benny has a ton of earned muscle tissue that will be waiting for him to swell back up when he is in a healthy place & cleared to resume training at some point.

Again not saying there’s nothing he can’t use, but at this point it all needs to be a doctor discussion. Odds are they will shoot down plenty of things that might actually be a decent idea for him, but suffering needlessly is still better than an unintended medicine interaction that leads to another MI. Suffering is temporary; death is not.

I know some are trying to be helpful in suggesting some supplements but if I had just suffered a heart attack supplements would be the last thing on my mind, sides or not of coming off TRT, unless recommended by my Dr. Not worth experimentation IMHO. Get well soon.

Agreed. That's why my very first post was:

After that, I went on to comment about some of my own experiences and give opinions - for Benny, as he indicated that was what he was looking for was personal experience, but also for anyone else that may be reading the thread now or later and may be looking for supplements to help them with this issue, that aren't experiencing a medical situation.

That's what I was thinking too. I did feel like my nipple itch went away immediately on Alpha gel but it doesn't sound like the docs want an risk of boosting any level of T.

Might be worth it for Benny to simply take a list of the products already listed on this thread to his doc/cardiologist to see what the bottom line recommendation is. lots of ideas here if any are found to be acceptable by the doc.
