I was thinking about the kind of questions that could really piss off a gym manager or make him literally laugh out loud.

It seems that the sales managers always talk up about the gym and the people there before signing you up. I always thought about asking the series of questions to see what they would say.

Questions:

I understand you have a wide assortment of dumbells up to 250pounds, but do you have a Bowflex machine? Why not?

I know you have a juice bar here, but would I be able to get a corndog there? How about some nachos?

Is the shower big enough for more than 1 person in each stall?

All in fun of course. You can follow up with your silly questions with a serious one. How many tripcep pulldown machines are there?

i saw a video where someone returned random items to the counter for their lost and found bin : spatula, a can of corn, etc.

ask the manager if you can use the sitting area to eat your mcdonalds.

refuse to sign unless you receive a 10% discount for your nato badge.

tell the manager you have Alzheimers and forgot said user ID.

ask if you can work out in a dress. tell him to call you ashley.

HA! This is awesome. Love the shower and porno one.

Have you guys seen "Howie Do It" on NBC? There was a skit where they interviewed people and Vic (one of the people from the show) would touch the person or get really close when asking questions. That would freak the manager out!

"Whats the men to women ratio here?"
"Whats the men to boys ratio here?"
"Are the machines here eco friendly?"

Or you can start asking really healthclub type questions at an obvious powerlifting gym.

"When are the cardio kick boxing classes? Does this place have enough stretching mats? I like to use them all to build fortresses in the corner sometimes"

I find being a total creep or homo can be pretty entertaining sometimes.

"So what are the chicks like here?"

"Well I'd love to sign up right now, but I'm going to have to talk this over with my life partner. My life partner likes to be informed about these big decisions, afterall my life partner is the one who makes all the money"

Just keep making references to your life partner, but never refer to your life partner as a him or her. This keeps up the homo suspense.

I cancelled my membership because I was paying 44 dollars a month. They have been trying to get me to stay, so I thought about asking for 20 dollars a month, lol.

Which gym were you going to? Are olympic lifting platforms and chalk important to you? If not you should check out the post I made about 24 hours fitness $299 for 2 years. Works out to about $12.50 a month which is ridiculously good.

I don't think I can commit to a place for 2 years. I have no idea where I'll be in 2 years. The gym I cancelled is lifestyle family fitness. I'm going to switch over to YMCA, unless they can get me my 20 a month deal.

You can also ask the sales manager if he's married or not. If he says yes, then just go "oh".

Ask them about their 10 week calf shredding program. Tell the manager you're only interested in building up your calves and nothing else.

Ask if it is appropriate to to video tape other members of the gym while they do their lifts. Make sure you're referring to the male members. If the gym manager asks why you want to do that just say the video would only be for yourself. Then leave it at that.

Ask the sales manager how much he squats. If he says 540, say you can do 600, but you prefer to do it on leg press machines.

Flex while he's explaining the terms of the gym contract.
