Weight training and mma can be a ruff combination...seeing a doc is never fun but probably wise.Ya I know but I hate going lol it's been going on for awhile now so I probably should swallow my pride and just do it

http://youtu.be/zZYzoKQspTwReggie, where is your elbow hurting? If on the outside that tiny little muscle that goes over the outside of the elbow is often confuse with a tendon and it is the muscle responsible for supinating during curls. Well for supinating in general but it sounds like to me if that is the issue you probably inflamed the hell out of it on biceps day. If so may I recommend using the EZ Bar almost exclusively for now when going heavy and only do really light weight curling in the supinated position. You can take the time to do some hammer curls and reverse curls to strengthen the supporting muscles. The EZ Bar allows me to keep lifting when mine acts up and it does regularly when I do a lot of supinated curls or BB curls. Even avoiding underhand rowing will help while getting the inflammation under control. Neutral grip and pronated grip don't really effect that part of the arm. Then again I may have wasted my time typing all of this because it may not be the same area but somebody somewhere will read it and find a way to work around a serious pain in the ass issue if not you.
Not me haha!!!Stim junkie
That's what they all say....Not me haha!!!
You guys know me too well alreadyThat's what they all say....
That is part of what I was referring to above the elbow at the triceps and going over, I am not sure where the insertion point is on the lower part of the arm. Since it does twist the arm it could be just a really bad case of it but I would go get an MRI if insured, that or go to an A.R.T specialist. They can work that inflammation out and realign the fibers so it doesn't get as inflamed. They break up scar tissue on the muscle and connective tissue. Many time it is the scarring in between the fibers that causes chronic issues. Because the fibers can not move freely and are bound up by the scar tissue. If you cant get an MRI then most ART guys have some reasonable rates you can buy 3-4 treatments for a certain price and most issues can be cleared up pretty good in that time.
.....awesome......i think?Well the doc says it's tendinitis but didn't run any tests. He kinda acted like I was wasting his time. Prescribed me some Etodolac and said to come back in a couple weeks if it's not better.
Lol I'll take it!!.....awesome......i think?
It was a PCP and I totally agree he didn't really even check it out. Seemed like a waste of money! Was it your PCP or an Ortho? Most PCP's don't know there azz from a whole in the ground regarding these types of injuries and toss anti inflammatory meds at you just to see if that is what it is. I mean if they can string it along for 3 visits before referring you to someone they make extra money.
tried that once, long time ago..wasn't for meIt was a PCP!
Lmao!!tried that once, long time ago..wasn't for me
I don't know how those guys back in the 60s used to do that stuff regularly, no wonder some older folks are a bit burned out
Yeah you have to remember those guys can be aloof and sometimes you have to remind them you are a customer, and they need to cater to you or lose your business. It was a PCP and I totally agree he didn't really even check it out. Seemed like a waste of money!
Was it anything like this?tried that once, long time ago..wasn't for me

(but I know you already knew I was gonna come back with that one too)
They can't ever seem to make up their minds!Eh, high for you but not really that high, they just keep bumping what High BP is considered up.
Well that is the competition between the pharmaceutical lobbyist and the insurance lobbyist playing tug of war over dollars...They can't ever seem to make up their minds!
Absolutely! It's so unfortunate that money is more important to them than our health!Well that is the competition between the pharmaceutical lobbyist and the insurance lobbyist playing tug of war over dollars...
yup - at 41, that's nothing really too bad, and prolly can be self-corrected by some simple changes , like reducing sodium consumption if it's high ie no more than 2g dailyEh, high for you but not really that high, they just keep bumping what High BP is considered up.
