HaHa! He is so right but yet so wrong at the same time. I wish homeopathy could be summed up in a 15 minute presentation but it can't. Although a case of curing lung cancer by smoking super diluted cigarettes is a funny thought to me. The fact of the matter is that even though there is no scientific validation or explanation 10-25% of homeopathics work and work very well. Of the homeopathics that work well they they all technically outperform their prescription counter parts without messing up the system or having side effects. The problem is that
like doesn't always treat like and some overzealous companies have turned homeopathy into a laughing stock by putting out products such as homeopathic GH and Test products.
Homeopathic allergy products work
Homeopathic Growth Hormone or sports related stuff doesn't.
I won't go through a flu season without occillococcinum in my cupboard (it's one of the 10-25% that work) and I consider myself very educated and sane. The stuff works. I can't explain why but it does. I also can't explain why "Apis" ground up and homeopathically diluted bees works so well on bee stings but it does.
I think James Randi needs to spend more time on things that matter because he seems very bright and motivated. Perhaps he should do a seminar on modern day vaccines because they are based on the same principals as homeopathy with live or dead bacteria only not as dilute. The efficacy of modern day vaccines is less than 50% (which is a failing grade in my opinion) and more often than not they lead to minor-major problems with the recipient if the vaccinated person comes down with the ailment in which they've been vaccinated for. Sometimes it triples the death rate........... Now I'm just rambling!
Reaper329, I personally wouldn't buy that product because it doesn't make sense. If
"like always treated like" as the theory of homeopathy suggests then what happens if you take this and already have higher GH, IGF-1 levels? In theory the product would bring the elevated hormone levels back to baseline (that is if the product worked)
The lesson for the day is don't trust anyone's opinion, do lots of research, live in the woods, stock pile firearms, and continue lifting heavy things.
