It turned out with Shaq having an absolute renessaince year, shooting a higher % from FG and FT than his career averages........which proves the point I was trying to make, if he can run alongside Nash and produce, then he can run alongside LBJ and produce.

You're making this too easy.
NO PLAYOFFS!!!
DEFINITELY NO RING!!!!

Like my boy Herm Edwards said.....YOU PLAY TO WIN THE GAME.
You are SOO caught up in stats, you can't see the forest for the trees!

ALWAYS GICH!

Come on dub.
you're making this TOO easy!

How did that nash/shaq combo turn out???

NO playoffs, and kerr admitted it was a MISTAKE.
People/teams fall in love with the shaq of yesteryear.
TOTAL desperation move to keep bron in Cleveland, and he took the bait.
You got an 'idiot dookie" running the cavs.
Why am I not surprised:laugh2:

How old was shaq when he played with Kobe and WAde??? think about it!
No need to duplicate the above.

The Big Shaqtus was a failure.

What will shaq's roll be exactly in Cleveland?

If they are fortunate enough to make the finals, and possibly play the Lakers..Mind you this will be after ANOTHER full season of wear/tear on him...how in God's name will he be able to keep up w/O,Bynum & Pau???
The designated defensive 3 second violation specialist...

and free throw coach.

What you said before was that Shaq "wouldn't be able to cross half court and run with James"...by showing how his stats improved this year, I proved that he can, in fact, still play with faster players.

Don't change the arguments to fit your logic. One point at a time here broheim.

Once again PROVING my point beyond a shadow of doubt....The "ME" generation:afro:
You still haven't proved that "me" point very well at all. You're coming off like a crotchety old man who can't stand today's game because "back in my day...they played the game the right way", etc.

Shaq didn't play with the Suns of 2004 - 2006... He played with the Suns of 2009, and they were a much different offense... SLOW.. UNSUCESSFUL... You gotta agree with that.

Shaq did a great job of improving his numbers last year, unfortunately to the detriment of his teammates and team success.... Typical Shaq.

Now you resorting to name calling.
Whose REALLY showing their frustration now?

Could have called you out on it when after a civil conversation, you resorted to Kobe is a JOKE.

I firmly stand by my convictions that there is a monumental difference between today and 'my day.'

I'll agree with your first point, but perhaps not the second. I wouldn't pin the Suns failure on Shaq. They had a godawful coach and were missing Amare Stoudemire. Plus, it's not like Shaq was firing up an Iverson-like 30+ shots a game to get his points while shooting a poor %...he shot a great % and even hit more FT's than usual.

Whose changing the argument???

he'll be a year older and slower.

I only said "Kobe is a JOKE" sarcastically...I don't believe that at all. Kobe is a great player and I've got nothing but respect for his accomplishments. It's just the title of the thread, so I was goofin on it.

....and you know you'll always be my musclebear, no matter how old you are.

The front line of Gasol, Odom and Bynum is downright sick. No frontcourt in the NBA is on that level, IMO. To have a 7' 1" guy like Shaq paired with the 7' 3" Ilgauskas, along with Verejao...it's a step in the right direction. Last year, the Cavs couldn't deal with an inside force (Howard) because Big Z would get into early foul trouble and then it'd be squarely on Verejao. Now, they're bigger and deeper.

(not saying they're better than LA or anything, just saying they've improved the frontcourt)

I think that they did the best they could with what they had. Shaq was not the answer to their ills. They were frustrated with continually getting dominated by the Spurs, who weren't even a factor last year - and sold off three fantastic players (Marion, Bell, Barbosa)...

NOW they are in a total rebuild mode... Complete fail.

Very clear that the OP doesn't know sh*t about NBA basketball... hence his absence.
