I am looking for some advice. For the past two to three years i have been dealing with acute adrenal adrenal fatigue, sub-clinical hypothyroidism and low testosterone symptoms. I suffer connective-tissue/joint problems, skin issues, low libido, ED, testicular atrophy, mild depression and various other symptoms. I had a whole host of blood work, saliva tests, urology scans and reports done in the past.

One of the reasons i want to find answers is because of the huge effect this is having on my family relationship, social life, working life and my long term health concerns. Due to irritability, depression, mood swings, paranoia, anxiety and emotional numbness I am pushiing my family, friends and shelfing my social life almost daily. I am nowheere near the a person i once was bctive, creative, comical person i was before and to be honest i don't want to alienate myself from the world anymore. There is a huge world of great people, countrys to explore, research and innovation to be done and resource to give back to the world. I have always been a driven, goal based person and have a list of goals i want to complete before my time is up.

I know what i need to know to treat myself, i understood the endrocine system well, blood work' but i don't feel comfortable doing this without proper lab work on a frequent basis. And i don't want to rely on internet drug stores for treatment that i can't confirm is safe and not counterfit.

I am originally from the UK and six months ago relocated to Spain to pursue a better job in IT. My hope was for a new experience, which i managed to get (made new friends, enjoy my job, etc) but my general outlook didnt' change and i tried really hard to change my frame to adapt to this illness. Taking my mind off these problems, changing diet, socialising with new people, living in the sun and such like gave me the impression i might see at least some improvement and hopefuly not focus to much on it. Sadly after six months, nothing much has changed and I can't find a single doctor (be it in the UK or Spain) that can help me improve and restore my health to something like before. I've been through the whole rejection process by GP's trying to find someone to help me, nobody wants to touch a 25 year old male with these kind of problems. More so when most of your results are borderline and sub-clinical.

I've been thinking alot and I feel moving to California, US or Michigan to go under the care of Dr Mariano or Dr John is the most logical step. I am 25 year's old, have no real commitments except close family and friends and a free spirit. I don't intend on living the rest of my life like this (not being able to have normal loving relationships, feeling fatigued, concentration issues, etc). Even if i stay in America for 1/2 years, it will give me enough time to see a respected and informed specialist on a regular basis and find a suitable protocol to get my health back on track. Many of the prescription drugs available in the states aren't available anywhere else (Spain or UK for example don't have Armour Thryoid).

I am well educated, knowledgeable and full of new ideas and inspiration. I am an avid programmer, musician, web designer and all round 'tech' guy. I have applied to some jobs in and around the areas of these doctors but haven't heard anything back and I believe this due to the fact i don't have proper US Citizenship (green card?), I really don't know much about moving to the states and would appreciate any help on the matter.

I have tried the whole "working with my doctor in the states" routine and no doctor in the UK (or Spain) wants to do this. So I believe the only realistic option is moving to the states and pursing a new life. It seems next to impossible to get citizenship/legal access so i can work when i get there and stay for a year at least. Money and finding a good job is my main concern. CA, Monetary, Carmel by the sea are really beautiful places and potential considerations for me. I would also consider LA, but i am not so much of a city person. It would also mean flying to see the doctors, which would be inconvenient and costly.

I would consider LA, San Fransisco, San Diego, Monetary, Carmel, Michigan and maybe a few other places that people recommend. What is the green card/VISA procedure and what advice can people give on the subject of relocation? Thank you in advance!

First you need to come here on immigration visa which is H1 visa. You need to find an employer in US who can file H1 visa for you. After coming here, you can file for green card through your employer.
May I know the reason for your testicular atrphy.Thats the real reason for all of your symptoms

The U.S. is probably one of the easiest countries in the world to get a work visa in a technical occupation.

For IT work, you should also be looking at companies in the Silicon Valley area south of San Francisco: San Jose, Santa Clara, Sunnyvale, Mountain View, etc.

Note that many companies have outsourced their IT support to India, with only a skeleton crew of local IT folks. Also, there have been many lay-offs recently: eBay, Google, Yahoo, etc. For many U.S. companies, 2009 is looking like a real train wreck, which probably means more lay-offs. And if you get laid off without a green card, I think you get booted out of the country fairly quickly. So not a great economic climate to be considering a major job + geographical change.

A traveller's visa is 3 months, should be enough time to find a new job if laid off though. Once your work visa expires, you are immediately on a traveller's visa from what I've been told. I'm here on a visa as well, on my third one atm.

ps: NY sucks for trt patients + ridiculous health rules

I'm Canadian, I'm here on a TN-1 visa.

If one is here on a visa, and loses their job, they can remain here for 3 months (without working) before having to get a new visa.
